Things have really changed. Honestly, I thought that I had previously reviewed Jack Daniel's grill, and if I had previously reviewed it, I would have given more stars. Unfortunately, in the context of this review, I feel the restaurant has undertaken a substantial change that this review must account for. Jack Daniel's restaurant is located within the massive Gaylord Opryland Hotel. My wife and I have eaten there a few times, going all the way back to 2015, so I have some experience with this restaurant and I would have said that the food has always been excellent. I would highly recommend trying the yeast rolls, but without the cinnamon butter. The fries are also quite good. My wife really likes the pulled pork macaroni and I have never seen her order any different entre. I also ordered the pulled pork macaroni as a side item. It was quite awful. I am not exactly sure what was wrong with it. There was an overwhelming smoky flavor, akin to perhaps an ashtray. Nothing appeared to be burned, but an underlying flavor of soot permeated the entire dish. As for my entrée, I always order the cheeseburger and it has always been excellent. Unfortunately, this time it was not. It also wreaked of that sooty, ashtray flavor. I have eaten here for years and everything had always been delicious. Stopped in just as they opened...first table seated. We ordered the Deep Fried Pickles as an appetizer and they were really good. I also had the Brisket Sloppy Jack sandwich. It was decent, nothing spectacular. Pretty much a pulled brisket sandwich with a bit too much bbq sauce. Fries were good. Service was ok but not over the top. Overall an ok place to eat if you are inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel...if you are visiting it's $30+ for parking but the restaurant does validate to cover the parking! read more

We stayed at the resort and decided to try this place out. We got the fried pickles and the rolls! So good! My husband got the burger and my daughter got the Mac and cheese. Overall it was a good experience, really spendy (tourist/resort trap) but portions are big! read more

We were taken to our seat as soon as we checked in. Thomas was our server and he was the best! Engaging personality and sweet disposition. We ordered the habanero jack bbq wings and pork rinds as apps. Sauce for wings came on the side because it's spicy but accompanied the wings well. The pork rinds, while tasting good, were cooked too hard and we had to send them back. I ordered the catfish plate which came with two sides. The fish was good but I really enjoyed the braised collard greens and mashed potatoes. The plate also came with a pimento tartar sauce which, interestingly enough, was good too. Just stopped in with my husband to have a drink! I had a bud light and my husband had a miller light! The bar tender was great! Very effluence and very outgoing! She was a pleasure to talk with! Service was good. Food was meh. I barely ate it. I got the pulled bbq pork but it was dry. I only took a couple bites and pretty much just ate the fries. I did enjoy the fried pickles. I'm always a sucker for that. Not sure what the dipping sauce was. It didn't have much flavor. read more

I went here with family that were visiting from out of town. Its was a big disappointment. The chopped salad was decent although the added shrimp was almost as much as the cost of the salad itself. The brisket was dry and overcooked. You can tell it had been reheated many times. Also, not a fan of the BBQ sauce. The pork was dry as could be. I pulled all of it off my potato and just ate the potato. It was the only decent part of the meal. I ended up paying $40 for a freakin potato I barely ate. When asking for the check we said we needed it seperated to which our server responded "its easier if you just do one check"... what!? I understand its challenging and inconvenient. But thats not the resonse we should have recieved. Then they tacked on a service fee. This happens, i dont normally complain, but this restaurant was not worth what we paid already. read more

The service was okay after waiting one hour to get a table. The portions were very disappointing until we started to eat. The buns were the best part of the meal. They should be embarrassed to serve that food. Don't waste your time and money. I am going to stop drinking Jack Daniel's as well. They are destroying their own brand name. read more

#1 thing about this place is the staff. From the minute we were greeted by the host to checking out with the server, they had the best attitudes and we're helpful with us trying to get in and out quick to make an Opry show. During our stay at the Gaylord, we decided to eat at Jack Daniel's because it was convenient and while traveling with a 14 month old baby, convince is key. STAFF: Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly and accommodating. Food: The food is pretty good, just felt like it was missing a little to make it delicious. I like to rate my places from 1 to 10. 1 through 3 - will never comeback 4 through 5.8 - will come back if someone I'm with wants to try the spot 5.9 though 7.0 -will come back 7.1 through 9.9 will make an effort to come back and recommend 10 the best place! (Haven't had a 10 because there is always a better place out there. My rating for this place is 5.8 (Will you come back? If someone wants to try it.) It was late and we wanted a quick bite after traveling all day. We chose this place because it's open until midnight. The food is ok but its expensive for what you get. We had side salads and split an order of habanero Jack Daniel's wings and the icey/watered down drinks. Not a full on meal but it was $60. The best part was of the meal was the blue cheese dressing. My friend and I ordered drinks from the bar and 2/3 of the cup was ice. We told the waitress about the drinks and she avoided us for the rest of our meal. I normally don't like seasoning on my fries. I am glad I tried this. It was sweet and salty. It was a good combination. The pulled pork was surprisingly good. The portions were large as well. Came here as part of a post engagement party for my brother and his fiancée. I ordered the jack burger and fries. It came with brisket, barbeque sauce, tomatoes, and some sort of cheese spread/sauce. The beef was very tender and one of the few burgers I have recently had that actually was cooked to what I requested - medium. The whole burger was tasty and flavorful. Disappointed in the food. Server and atmosphere were good, but disappointed in some of the food. My husband loved his tacos, but the wedge salad (barely any dressing and the chicken that I got added to it was ice cold), the bbq sandwich was ok. My ratings are based on the following: customer service, atmosphere, food, cleanliness of the restaurant and wait time. These are significant to me when reviewing a location. Customer service: The host greeted us with warmth. That's important. When we got seated, our server, Kelly, made sure that what we needed was provided. She was amazing. I love the Southern hospitality. It definitely makes it feel like home. Atmosphere of the restaurant was so relaxing. What was quite enjoyable was listening to live music. Food: I can't emphasize how delicious our meal was. We had some items ordered from the appetizers and main course and we ended up sharing. Meals were all large enough to share. Did I say how delicious they were?!!! Cleanliness of the restaurant was on point. I really enjoyed seeing a busy restaurant keep up with their cleanliness. Wait time. We visited on a Tuesday, the menu was smaller than what was listed online. Got the brisket quesadilla and bbq Brunswick stew. Quesadilla was delicious...good crunch, lots of meat, definitely recommend! The stew was a great price for the Opryland. Again alot of meat. Bartender Corey was the worst part of the experience; not friendly, disappeared for a large amount of time and not attentive at all. Keith, assuming a manager, came to save the day...just swung by to check in and he was VERY personable. Great name, below average food. It's another one of those popular destinations where they don't have to try hard to get business. Got the brisket last time, 95% fat. Got the BBQ Brunswick Stew this trip. Stew? 2 pieces of meat (maybe ham??) and 3 corn bread balls that tasted like they found them in a 1979 couch. The YeeHaw beer was fresh but not worth $9. This place is so huge you have no choice unless you want to walk 3 miles to find anything else. I suggest bringing a cooler and some microwave dinners and drinks. This place's only saving grace is the fact it resides in Opryland Hotel. Our server was inattentive. Kitchen from where I was sitting, looked dirty. Ordered the deviled eggs for an appetizer, and they were so salty they were bitter. Food was horribly cheap and unsatisfying for outrageous prices. If you are going to spend $18-$30 on an entree, do yourself a favor and leave the hotel. Take a short drive, and eat at one of the many amazing fine dining restaurants in Nashville. We decided to eat dinner at Jack Daniel's while staying at Gaylord Opryland Hotel. First off, our waitress, Jennifer, was super sweet! It was crowded, and she was still very attentive. I decided to order the Side Trio platter. I chose the mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac & cheese. I didn't want any meat so, this was perfect for me! The mashed potatoes were super creamy but, also had some nice little chunks of potato. The mac & cheese was also really creamy, and cheesy. I hate when some places give you dry and crusty macaroni. The green beans were good, with a nice snap but, a bit too crunchy for me. Still very flavorful though. BUT, I asked for some of the sweet Jack Daniel's bbq sauce, and...OMG! It brought the sides to a whole new level of deliciousness! Crazy good! My husband ordered the rib plate, with collard greens and cole slaw. The ribs were pretty moist, and had a nice pull to them. Not overly saucy so, he had to ask for more. But, he loved them! The cole slaw was actually really creamy, and had a really good flavor. The collards were good. Not super bitter, and had a great texture. Not soggy, not hard. The Bootlegger Ritas were quite nice! I hate tequila in general but, these were very refreshing.
