Nice little hotel restaurant. Food came out pretty quick, and the service was friendly!

Blackened chicken philly come with grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado aioli. I requested whole avocado on it.

I was really hungry from a 5 hr road trip and decided to grab a bite at the hotel. Ordered the blackened chicken philly ( I added avocado on it) with a side of fries. I was a bit skeptical because I read the reviews on here prior to ordering. While waiting for my food I heard the lady next to me who ordered her steak at medium receive a rare stake, that's not a good sign. Overall- my food was really good. The side of fries comes with the meal, they are a large serving and well salted. There was too much food for me to eat it all. Server was really friendly.

So I love how I go downstairs to the restaurant and sit at a huge community table that has one gentleman already sitting at one end, then I join the other end, then minutes later a lady joins near the gentleman. Mind you he has already ordered and has move the menu to the lady. I already knew what I'm going to get before I get down here (Jambolaya of course ). The server comes over and looks confused, so I speak up and say I ready to order when you are and the lady says I have to take a look, the server goes, well let me take her ordered first. WTF!!!! Did you not hear that I was ready as soon as you showed up, how rude to dismiss me and wait to take the lady's order when she is not even ready. Now if the lady was in my dinner party, She would of course order first. No tip for you, pay attention to your area and who gets there first!!! So the Jambalaya was good and a big portion.

Great food and music. The Big Chicken sandwich is excellent! Best hotel restaurant I have been to at an Embassy Suites. Check it out. Very good

Room temperature steak w/ frozen butter on top. This was after I'd sent it back once for being served cold.
    Ginny H.

When you charge $29 for a steak dinner and the customer sends it back because it's stone cold, the very worst thing you can do is put a pat of solid frozen butter on top, cover it with French fried onions, and try to pass the plate off as reheated. Bad move.

There were times when I needed some things and thankfully the other server saw I had a need and came to the rescue. That was greatly appreciated. The tip was definitely left for her, but I'm sure it may have been shared. I had the bacon cheese burger and fries and the fries were delicious; so was the burger, but the fries were top tier! We were greeted as soon as we arrived and led to our table. Our server showed up almost immediately for our drink orders which she returned with promptly. We had the calamari appetizer which was very good along with a tenderloin meatloaf special that had amazing flavor and texture. I'm not normally a meatloaf person, but this sounded interesting and met all expectations. We found room for dessert and it was outstanding as well. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable and reasonably priced for the quality/ quantity meal. Overall, for the two of us our bill was $130 for 2 drinks each, an appetizer, a salad, a split meal and a dessert. Try it, I don't think you'll be disappointed!@

For an airport meal, it was actually really solid -- the burger had a nice sear, good flavor, and that crispy edge you want from a smashburger. The bun held up well, the toppings worked together, and the whole thing came out hot and satisfying. What stood out most was that it didn't taste like the usual rushed airport food. It felt fresh enough, cooked well, and filling without being overdone. The fries were a nice bonus too -- hot, crispy, and a good match for the burger. If you're stuck at the airport and want something better than the standard grab-and-go options, this is a good pick. I'd definitely order it again when traveling.

The menu they gave me was worn down and I could barely read it. I ended up getting a mimosa after I tried to ask the bartender about what beers were on tap and was just pointed to the taps they had on the back shelf (which I couldn't see from that distance). I ended up getting a Nashville hot Caesar salad. It was pretty spicy for hot chicken which I like. They didn't make the boneless chicken too saucy. The salad was the perfect size as well. I would say the service needed work and the food was average at best.

From my bar stool, I can see the bar is well stocked with bourbons and whiskeys. I started with the Etch Smoked Old Fashioned: Belle Meade bourbon, smoked simple syrup, orange and a dash of bitters started off my night. The bar is busy with people, all seats are taken. The couple sitting next to me are going to see Bruno Mars, it seems like a nice night to start with a fabulous dinner. I came early to have a drink before my reservation. I feel a tap on my shoulder and there are two women asking for the happy hour drink menu. I offer my seat and they're thanking me and asking to pay for my drink? Everyone is very hospitable in Nashville! I tell the hostess I'm ready to sit and I'm seated at the large chefs counter. It's very smart to have this type of seating, it saves the tables for larger parties, there's no reason for lil ol me to take up a table with four seats. My waitress comes over and I studied the menu before I arrived. I'm starting with the Smoked Carpaccio (think of roast beef strips) Made with New York Strip steak and topped with pickled onion & herb relish, fried garlic chips, lemon almond salt and parmesan. This was an award winning starter dish. The steak strips were very flavorful and the crostini points, I ate this dish like little open faced sandwiches. This would be a great dish to share with a larger party. For my main entree, I ordered the Grilled Filet. The meat was cooked perfectly! On the side the dish was served with parmesan lemon whipped potatoes, and topped with a smoked bone marrow butter as well as asparagus spears. The smoked bone marrow was like pocket aces, a nice touch that elevated the dish. While in Nashville, I highly recommend making a reservation at etch.

The cooks were throwing down in that kitchen! Over a couple of days I tried a few things. SZECHUAN SALAD I got the Szechuan Salad with both kale and spinach. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick. This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. A bit mild for the serious hot chicken fans, but the flavor is there. The chicken tenders are fairly standard. And the crinkle fries are mid. I enjoyed both of the drinks. At $14.50, they are at least $1.50 less than the standard Broadway cocktails in the star bars, so iti s a less expensive option to get a drink. I don't think they ever have live music, unlike some others here, so you are going for the food, not the noise. Service was great, as always. The staff is always prompt and knows their menu. It is more bar food and the menu is limited, but what they do, they do well.
