Looks a mess, but was good. Steakhouse Salad
Racquel S.

Service was a little slow. Downtown, so busy & loud. Steak salad was so good though. Will have to try it again, but at the Brentwood location next time.

First off the ambiance was clean and calm. Our waiter Tyler was phenomenal. The manager Payne was kind and came to table a few times to ck on how we were doing. Tyler didn't skip a beat either. The food was nothing short of amazing. Tyler kindly came to our table to let us know they were out of the prime rib. We ot the NY strip 1 lb with crabcake on top with lobster sauce, Brussel Sprouts a filet salad and the divine coconut cream pie that Payne suggested. Our champagne was ice cold too. If I ever came bk to Nashville I'd definitely come bk here. Being a member of Landrys VIP you get perks. This is part of Landrys. Kudos to Del Frisco s. One of thee best Steaks in my lifetime.

Filet, mashed potatoes and fried brussel sprouts

My company recently rented out the whole restaurant for an event. Overall, everything went wonderfully. Food was delicious, staff was so helpful, especially the managers. We did a buffet which had a little bit of everything on it. I had a filet that was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. Loved the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts on the side. I was told the desserts were very tasty too. The space is beautiful and has a nice big bar area and lots of tables. Overall a really great event.

Recently had dinner with my wife and her sister. Great service and the food was very good. We came a bit early and had a quiet meal that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Be sure to take advantage of the validated parking, if you drive here. Which I recommend if you are local and are looking for a great steak.

I am always on the hunt for a good steakhouse. I have found it very difficult to the charcoal Fired Angus Riley I cook at home. If I find a comparable steak I consider that place a true steakhouse. One caveat I like my steak Pittsburgh rare. Which require an extremely hot grill and a skilled cook. The steak is charred on the outside and Luke warm in the middle. To be honest I have not found one yet. Until Del Frisco's. The manager came to the table when he saw my steak and tried to take it apologizing for it being burned. I laughed and told him it was perfect. He was relieved and said he had the best cook on the grill that he has ever seen and was surprised to see my steak in that condition. It was a great steak as was the asparagus. The chocolate martini I ordered was also deliscious. I will return to this Steakhouse.

Filet mignon and loaded bake potato

Let's be honest, it is difficult to find a restaurant that cooks a good steak and has decent sides. I was really impressed with Del Frisco's. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and I'm glad one side came with the meal. I chose the loaded baked potato. It was good but I wish it had had more toppings and less sour cream. The complimentary pretzel bread was a nice addition and went well with the meal. Other pluses were that we were able to make a reservation, and the ambiance was nice. One thing I wish would chance was the waiter was a little pushy when he continually tried to sell cocktails and appetizers.

Hummus

I've been twice now and both times I have been more than pleased with my orders. The hummus platter is a great dish to share between 4-6 people. Both times I've ordered a Tom Collins as my drink and the first visit was much better than the second. The waiter the second time questioned my drink choice and I've had a better tom Collins. Other than that the food has always been great!

Run, don't walk! The deal included an alcoholic beverage (not pictured) for only $25.00. The serving size was filling, I ended up leaving with food to go. Staff were pleasant and the restaurant was clean and airy.

For our weekly date night, we decided to give Del Frisco's happy hour a go, based on a recommendation from a couple we met at Finch. Here's the breakdown: Drinks: We started with an Old Fashioned and a Malbec. Both were... fine. Nothing special, just average. If you're a cocktail or wine enthusiast, you might want to temper your expectations. Food: - Cheesesteak Eggrolls: Everyone seems to rave about these, but for me, they were a bit too rich. However, if you're a fan of cheese and eggrolls, definitely give them a try! - Roasted Wings: These were a win. You can choose wet or dry, and they come with a delicious avocado ranch dip. - Sticky Ribs: Tender and flavorful. My husband declared these the best thing we had all night. - Ahi Tuna Tacos: Crispy shells with a layer of guacamole and topped with chopped tuna and spicy mayo. Good, but they could use a pinch of salt to really pop. We also tried the shaved prime steak sandwich, but by then, I was so full we ended up packing most of it to go. Parking: You get 3 hours of free parking if you park in the garage and grab a validation ticket from the hostess. Just be aware, you'll need to insert both the parking and validation tickets at the exit--not at the pay machine near the elevators. Overall, a solid spot to check out for happy hour, especially for the food!

Truffled Mac & Cheese

I have to say, I really enjoyed my time here. Went for a friend's birthday celebration and was very happy with everything I ordered. Bird of paradise cocktail: 4.5/5. Nice and fruity. USDA Prime NY strip: 5/5. This steak was perfect! Perfectly cooked to temp, very well seasoned, great cut. Worth it for the price in my opinion. Truffled mac & cheese: 4/5. Solid mac. I like the unique choice of noodle. The truffle flavor didn't come through as much as I'd like, but it was nice and creamy. Breadcrumbs add great texture. Soft lighting and wood creates a nice cozy atmosphere. Random critique, I feel like the chairs were too low for the level of the table. Made it a bit difficult to eat. Overall, I'd love to go back! I've been thinking about that steak ever since I went haha.

First time dining here. Our team chose this spot to have our team dinner while visiting Nashville for a sales meeting. The beautiful restaurant looked like the kind of warm, sophisticated spot we were seeking. The evening started out slow. It took forever to get our drink order in, and it took even longer to get our actual drinks. However, once our drinks landed at our table, things started perking up. Our group ordered a handful of starters for the table. Everything was delicious. Most people at my table ordered steak or fish. I went totally off the grid to try something I had no real idea what to expect - Grilled Celery Root steak with truffles and mushrooms. I know I went out on a limb here, but the gamble paid off! This was delicious. I don't know how to describe the taste. All I can say is it was delicious and I would order it again. All-in-all the evening was good. Although I couldn't see myself coming back here, I did enjoy the evening here.

It was a welcoming and comfortable environment. My son received so many congratulations and appreciation. He was overwhelmed with gratitude. The card on the table was a sweet touch. Sean was a fantastic, helpful resource to help us navigate the menu. The complimentary fries were the kick start to a great meal. Such a variety between the nacho and parm/truffle (which is always my go to with lemon aioli) were our favorite. The pickle flavored fries were also good. Not a sour taste it was more of an herb taste maybe like the pickling spices. We all loved our dishes. The steak were properly cooked, great cuts, hearty portions, and seasoned just right to let the meat shine. My brick chicken was huge, tender, and juicy. The delicious lemon notes came through and the au jus is velvety, creamy, and full of flavor . The bed of potatoes were like clouds of creamy, buttery goodness. I didn't want my bite to end but knew I had another ahead. The mac and cheese was delicious. The noodles still had a light chew and the cheese choice was excellent. It wasn't a heavy carb on the tummy. Brussel sprouts were out of this world. The char is everything to me. A little sweet hint and lime coming in the end to refresh the palette again. I'd go back solely for these. Creamed spinach was also fabulous. The crispy onions on top is brilliant texture. There is a perfect veggie/cheese ratio. The presentation of the smores dessert was fun and intriguing. All of the chocolate components were airy , not extremely sweet. The marshmallow ice cream needs to be sold everywhere. There just aren't enough good things I can say.

This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. Fifteen trips to Nashville (together) and it's still one of our first stops. That's probably the strongest review I can give. Five stars.

It's my last night in Nashville so I want to go to a bang zoom restaurant. A few of my co workers have said to me: Mr Bill, we see every night you're going out to some amazing spots. Mind if we tag along? Sure, the rules are to keep your fork outta my plate when we sit down. Deal? The restaurant is very large, we're shown to our table. Set in the middle of the dining room and facing the bar. The bar can seat at least 25 people, the restaurant is set up for fun. To get our party started, I ordered a well crafted cocktail: Tea'd Up Old Fashioned Made with Bourbon, Black Tea and House Barrel Aged Bitters. Funky?? Oh yeah I'm with a bunch of Military Veterans and they're telling me their crazy stories. I'm sippin' my Old Fashioned and taking it all in, we need to bond over drinks and crazy things we all drank overseas. As an adult, I can appreciate my Nashville TN Old Fashioned with Black Tea. While we're talking, our waitress drops off a plate of homemade biscuits. The biscuits are fire! Buttery, flakey and moist, The Southern Steak & Oyster can make a damn good biscuit. Next, my Gumbo comes to me. The first taste I can tell this is a chef'd up dish. Better than anything I had in New Orleans. This gumbo is filled with Andouille, Crawfish, Shrimp and Fried Okra. Very flavorful indeed. My last entree in Nashville will be Fish 'N Grits. Fresh fish topped with Spicy Tasso Ham over Sweet Potato Grits and Bacon Braised Cabbage. This is a flavorful dish, the grits are very creamy and the cook on the fish was spot on. We had a great night at The Southern Steak & Oyster, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.

On one visit with only a few of us there our bartender disappeared for a good 20 minutes. Upon his return he was focused on everything but the 5 of us in the place until we finally had to ask to get service. The other visit everyone helped me but the actual server. Maybe this is a staffing problem, I don't know but being stuck for 20 minutes to order another drink with my meal is not acceptable. Although they had that check in my hand in under a minute and in under another minute to process. Again, super nicer people, but kind of oblivious. 2) Now let's talk about the kitchen. And I'm adding some input from the other diners because we all sat there waiting. - flavors are great, but the salt and spice level is overboard. I had the mushroom appetizer and nearly choked/coughed to death. I like heat but this was raw spice that overpowered the dish. And the salt about made my feet swell into balloons. Such a shame because the idea is great just poor execution - deviled eggs. Pass - BBQ Shrimp, sort of like the mushrooms right profile but overpowering - gumbo. Two other people had the gumbo and when I asked they said that too is just over spiced I want to like this place, but probably my last visit unless I just come for oysters. Sorry

The shrimp was huge and prepared perfectly! The cocktail sauce was very nice, but I like extra horseradish, which they happily provided. Next up was their Prime Skirt Steak and the sides I chose was their creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to a perfect temperature and the chimichurri was so very tasty with it! The mashed potatoes were nice. The creamed spinach looked beautiful and the texture was spot-on, but it had slightly too much nutmeg in it - Still, I enjoyed it. I wanted to save room for dessert though because I was yearning for their Butter Pie, which I ordered eventually. The butter pie definitely didn't disappoint! While the cocktails were refreshing and they had a cocktail for every palate, my steak and eggs was bland. It came out a little closer to rare than medium, but I can live with that. But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch.
