The glazed yeast donuts aren't bad. They're the typical Cleveland bready kinda thick style but not dry really. Not as moist and fluffy as Biagio's but not bad. A dozen is about $18 which isn't bad at all. The chocolate glazed yeast was also unremarkable. Not dry or stale or off flavored but just kinda there and not any kind of fluffy lightness you'd write home about. The crullers here are unique! Very rugated, soft, fall apart in your hand and quite tasty. Best in the Cleveland area and I'm not even a big cruller fan. The plain glazed cake had a great texture. Moist inside, some crispiness outside. But it had an offish kinda almost remotely lemony flavor I am not a fan of. read more

I just LOVE this place. It was always my first stop driving into Cleveland from Chicago. They do the basics very, very well. I love their maple cream-filled donuts. Like all their cream-filled donuts, it's not just a spot of cream you get at the center of the donut. It is a fully cream-filled donut that is simply delicious. Every bite has cream in it. Their other donuts are also excellent, full of flavor like what Dunkin' Donuts used to be....but BETTER. They also make an incredible Russian tea cake. I recommend trying them. The dough is a very "meaty" dough, not flaky. That means they use lots of sour cream in the dough recipe. Their filling is just perfect. Of course, their cookies and everything else are just spectacular. Well worth making a special trip for, no matter how "out of the way" it may be from your destination. read more

The donuts were so delicious!! Family owned and a pleasant lady working behind the counter. Loved the group of family photos displayed on the wall. Gave you a definite idea that the donut shop was family owned. They had quite a large variety of donuts to choose from including an array of baked items. Everything looked delicious. I remember Becker's Donuts growing up as a kid in the late 50's and all through out the 60's. They had a store on Miles Ave between East 138st and East 139st, on the South East side of Cleveland. I lived on East 138st. My Mom loved their freshed baked Vienna white bread, as she would buy a loaf once or twice a week. She would also buy a dozen donuts, especially when compa y came over. I used to ride my bicycle up close to their store front window and they had a real pretty lady working their named Pauline. If i saw her there i used to wink at her, as i road by the window. (I was only 9 or 1o at the time). Every now and then she would wave me in and give me a free donut. So i have very fond memories of growing up with Becker's Donut shop right around the corner on Miles Ave, near East 138st. My favorite donuts were the cream filled ones. Yummy! read more

Get your fresh hot donuts! Tuesday thru Sunday, more than enough time to visit a Fairview Park staple. You can see the lights turning on at 5:30 in the morning, the cases are starting to fill up and the cars are already lined up...it's just that good. Becker's is known for their donuts, they are delicious, but did you know they make cookies, bear claws, cupcakes, cookies and more! I needed a few desserts to fill out a dessert tray, because we all know the next best thing to homemade is pastries from Becker's. I stopped in and grabbed cupcakes, tea cakes and pumpkin cookies...the perfect addition to my tray. Would I have liked more, of course, but I got there too late, the cases were literally empty. I've heard of this place for a while and just never gotten around to visiting, and I have really been missing out. If you're looking for ambiance, go elsewhere. If you want delicious, fresh, reasonably priced donuts and awesome customer service, definitely come visit. I got a dozen donuts, an eclair, a chocolate cupcake, and a giant twisty donut I can't remember the name of. The donuts were not too sweet, the eclair was massive, and the best thing is everything was super fresh. We will definitely be back. We ate them so fast I forgot to take a picture. Solid donut joint in the heart of Fairview. I honestly shouldn't even be admitting this, but I'm from Fairview (went to school here from 6th grade, graduated from HS, etc) and I had never had Becker's until this past summer (and I've been out of HS for 15 years!). So yeah I'm not sure why it took me so long. I never even knew Becker's was here! We'd always just got to the Dunkin Donuts on the corner. I much prefer Becker's over Dunkin. For starters, they are local. And they have a vast array of selections. The donuts are light and fluffy. And still a tad on the smaller side, so you can eat a variety of donuts and not feel too guilty about it. I went here with my sister and nephew and we got a dozen donuts and ate them all within 24 hours. My favorite was the chocolate iced with cream filling. I would definitely go back and I'm sure I'll have the opportunity to do so since my parents still live in Fairview. I do wish they would glaze the donuts before frosting them-- would provide an extra layer of sweetness! :) Also the maple here isn't quite "Mapley" enough. Tastes like Vanilla with a hint of maple in it. So that's why they lose a star. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and efficient. Why have I never been here before??!?!? I can here and got two amazing donuts and a large coffee for less than $4! I found the holy grail - a jelly donut filled with STRAWBERRY JELLY!!!! That is my favorite donut of all time and so hard to find. I also had a had a cinnamon roll donut that was filled with so much cinnamon it was to die for! They had four coffee options when I was there. I decided on the snickerdoodle flavor and it was awesome. I will definitely be frequenting Becker's from now on. Though Becker's is pretty unassuming from the street, their donuts are always second to none. Becker's focuses on the fundamentals​. I love their coconut cream donut, but their classics like strawberry jelly-filled and maple cream are to die for too. On my last trip to Becker's, we went in the early afternoon. They had sold out of the /really/ good stuff earlier in the day, but I wasn't complaining. If you do want to make the most of your Becker's trip, make sure to get there quickly because their donuts are in high demand. (Also, I was told the last time I visited that you can call ahead and reserve a dozen or just one donut. That's a bonus if you don't want to get out of your pajamas before 11am.) read more

The best donuts I have ever had come from Becker's! When they had their storefront in North Olmsted, we were there every Sunday after church with our grandchildren. We didn't get out of the parking lot before we had each consumed one. My favorite was the crescent shaped cake donut. It had a crunchier outside with a divine glaze. The cake part of the donut was fluffy and light and melted in your mouth. If I was lucky enough to get extras and, my daughter didn't eat them all, I would refrigerate or freeze them and enjoy them later in the week as this specialty was only made on the weekends. My grandchildren loved the raised glazed donuts. And we all LOVED when a fresh batch came in as they were still warm and super soft. . The same was true of their cinnamon rolls. So yummy! And don't let the name Becker's Donuts fool you. Their cakes are divine as well as their cookies and other specialties! I would highly recommend Becker's Donuts for anything they make! read more

I have been buying donuts, bread and birthday cakes at Beckers for decades. They are absolutely the best bakery I have ever tried. The people who work there are incredibly helpful and friendly. Their product is second to none ! My children grew up loving Beckers donuts and now their children are doing the same. One daughter has moved to Indiana and every time we go to visit, we take 2 dozen with us. When she comes to Cleveland, her last stop is Beckers as she and her family head home.
