So I just moved to Arizona and haven't tried jack in the box before. I've always seen the commercials but I never have been in. While the store didn't look brand new, the people made this a five star review. It's a bit small in there but I was greeted right away, was given time to look at the menu and when I ordered the lady said that I could order the munchies box which was a better value. And she would offer it to me even though it wasn't 9pm yet. So that's what I ordered. I choose the burger and two tacos with a combo of straight and curly fries. The burger was good, with a sour dough bun, but it can be a lot of carbs. The tacos are not like the tacos you would get at Taco Bell or del taco. The shell kind of reminds me of a tacquito. Those rolled up tacos you get frozen and baked at home from the grocery store. It was unique in that way. The hot sauce tastes like the mild sauce from Taco Bell. Also, throughout the meal, an employee would come out on the floor and wipe down tables and greet people to make sure they were happy and keep things clean. What a pain in the neck. Just asked for a Double egg sourdough sandwich. It first came out with 2 egg and meat. We are vegetarian. We can get sick . They came back & said it doesn't come up in the computer like that. They remade it with a one egg had to ask for another egg. And then got an attitude with it. I don't believe we'll be coming back. I work in casa grande and dozens of times in the past year, I ordered the two regular tacos. I brought an order home today and shared one with my wife. Halfway through I felt a hair in my food!!!! And proceeded to pull a 12-13 inch dark brunette or black hair out of my teeth. Grossed out is horribly understated! Horrible service and poorly managed. Tonight 3 young teenage boys working with no overseer and it was clear they had no clue what they were doing. I waited 35 min in my car with my two kids while several cars passed after me in the drive through. I finally went inside the restaurant since I had already paid for my food at the drive thru window and the boys claimed the system didn't print my order... Which something told me that my order was possibly given to the car that was served before me... Every time I come to this location there is a crazy wait, service is horrible and the staff is rude. The kids are hired and just thrown on a shift with lack of training and the professionals take off and leave them to run the business with no experience. I originally went to the Pinal Ave location for a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl and was informed it would take 15 minutes for the rice to cook. So, I went to the Florence Blvd location. The guy in drive-thru was friendly and attentive. It only took a few minutes to get my order. However, when I got home and took the lid off of my meal I was super disappointed. It did. It look like the pic on the menu....and I know they rarely do... but this one really didn't. It was 95% rice. 2 small pieces of chicken, 4 small pieces of broccoli, very few carrots and hardly any sauce. I will say that he asked me if I wanted any extra sauce at the window, but I didn't realize that I would really need it. I am just super disappointed in my meal. I wish I could give a no star review. I saw someone eating chicken strips chopped up, french fries, with sauce. It looked delicious. Had no idea what it was. I just knew I wanted to buy it. Yesterday, I went to the Jack in the Box Drive thru. I looked on the menu for the item. I didn't see it. She asked if she could take my order, I told I didn't see something I was lookin for. I described it. She said it was the Roost Fries. I said ok, thank you. I will take that and an order of 2 tacos. I come back this evening to the drive thru, ask for the same thing. The person, working the drive thru must be illiterate. How hard is to say, I do apologize, it was discontinued today. She was SOOO RUDE, telling me. it's not on the menu. So was so combative, and argumentative, I just came inside to speak to a manager. There was zero niceness in her voice. She said they couldn't make it. I did not understand why. They still sell, CHICKEN, FRIES, and SAUCE. As a courtesy, they could have prepared it. I said to the manager, when I ordered it yesterday, no one said this will be discontinued tomorrow. Nor did they say this will be the last day they will be serving this. Then the team lead says the sign has been down for a while. Assuming I eat there all the time. This is my 2nd time at this Jack in the Box and last. I can count on 1 hand how many times I have eaten at Jack in the Box. Once in North Scottsdale. That's it. All I can say is wow! This was by far the worst experience that I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. The cashier was totally clueless and made several mistakes with our order. When we pointed out the mistakes so they could be corrected they were rude and treated us as if we were inconveniencing them. The women's bathroom was out of order and the men's bathroom had a broken lock, a broken paper towel dispenser and was down right disgusting! We were traveling and just passing through so thankfully never have to experience that again! The worst fast food experience I ever had. I went into the store at 7PM rather than the drive through (or I would probably still be there!). The staff was pleasant, but the "kitchen" was in complete chaos. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked after my order and was told it was coming up. I am very good with this Yack in the Box cuz they have been letting us park our ricers outside for years now. Even though we like to peel out and act like idiots when leaving their parking lot, they understand that we just want to have a good time. So they just let the CGPD sort us out while they laugh at us from inside looking out the window. Do we ever buy any food? No. Of course not because we need to save money to buy glass packs from the AutoZone and new tires because our wheels are so dirt nasty cambered. My Honda will drag anything you have even though I can't drive it in a straight line very easily cuz it's so dirt nasty low that I have to avoid every bump and leaf so I don't scrape my $13 front lip I got off eBay. Since I have moved to AZ from New York State, I cannot believe how badly the service is at any of the local fast food chains. I have been pleasantly surprised by this JITB! I don't have to repeat my order over and over again and still not have it right, I always get all of the condiments I asked for and yes! I even get my straw, napkins, and eating utensils! The order is always correct and it is always hot. The people are friendly yet professional and they all know their duties. The bacon cheeseburger I had was great the fries were just barely warm but the service was great and very friendly and polite. The other burgers were great. The only real complaint was the french fries. When we were leaving everyone said good bye and were extremely friendly. I wish all restaurants and fast food restaurants were just as friendly.
