Customer Service, POOR! ! Food, decent! As I was walking to the door, another young man appeared to be racing me. Little did he know or could see that there was a toddler in front of me that was actually running to the door that I was chasing. We walk in and two of the young men get huge smiles on their face. I guess they were excited to see the young man racing me to the door. There's 3 people on staff... 2 behind the register and 1 stocking the chips. No greeting at all. They just sit there talking to the racer walker. Finally one of the young men walk towards me but says nothing... I waited, purposely, about 2 minutes and then he says, "are you gonna know what you want" I read my order off and he calls for the young man (Seyten) that was originally stocking chips and asked if he could "sprinkle" although he was doing absolutely nothing but asking the guy that came in (Micah) if he wanted a free sandwich. I waited for Seyten to come and I didn't mind at all because he was clearly busy in the back and still turned out to be so polite.. very manner-able and when I asked him for a few things on the side, he went to the back to get a bowl then immediately changed his gloves out. I can tell he is the responsible one that they make do all the work. Micah (not currently working), Noah and especially the other young boy on shift tonight need to be fired or re-trained! When we went to jersey mikes in maricopa az 2/22 around 244pm. the employee making the subs was using the same gloves he was touching other things such as the cash register and other things then going back to make the subs. I absolutely love Jersey Mike's in Maricopa. I love being able to see the food being prepared in front of me. It is always clean every time I've been in. It was really important to me after watching Gordon Ramsay's terrible show about the uncleanly places it really turned me off, eating out. I have not been disappointed here. This may be the worst run restaurant I have ever witnessed. I placed an order for pickup and was told the food would be ready by 12:42. I showed up and the order wasn't ready. After waiting 20 minutes the lady running the cashier turned around and grabbed a bag that had been sitting there the entire time, telling me the order was now ready. The hot sub I ordered was like warm and soggy by the time I got home (10 minute drive). Whoever manages this place is doing a horrible job. Atmosphere - My sister-in-law ordered online, she was a pro as it was very easy. I drove to pic up the subs. They are located next to Starbucks next to the CVS. The parking lot is extremely tight. Food - I went with a cold sub. I love my Italian cold cuts. I ordered the lucky lucky #13, The Original Italian. The sub has Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. I had the shakers and jalapenos added with wheat bread. I had to look up prosciuttini, I am use to prosciutto. Prosciuttini it is a spiced prosciutto, in this case black pepper. I unwrapped the sub and it had a thing layers of something on it, maybe all the shakers. The wheat bread was the whitest wheat I have ever saw. They have three size choices, mini, regular, and the giant. I went with the regular coming in at 7 inches. My old sub place the normal one is 8. I hear size does matter. So basically three stars because the bread was coated, the sad wheat bread, and size choices. Really they only have three choices of bread too. Service - My interaction was limited to the pick up. I walked to the register and gave my name for the online order pick up. The bag was sitting there but not seal. If you are done filling the bag, seal it. I don't understand how basic "customer service" completely does not exist with today's working people, which are the same people that demand higher wages. How ironic. I ordered a giant Cali Club Sub, on Rosemary Parm bread. I get home and it's on white bread and there is no bacon. I check my order to ensure I didn't make a mistake when ordering and then call the store. I speak with a lady and ask her if they are out of rosemary parm bread and she says "I have no bread right now...." I said ok, "do you also have no bacon?" She says "I'm cooking bacon right now." I then explain I picked up a sandwich and had just got home with it but the bread was not correct and it was missing bacon. She told me I could come back for a remake or get a refund. This entire situation could have been avoided had they NOTIFIED me when I picked up the sandwich. Furthermore, how completely rude it was to make the sandwich on white bread knowing it's not what I ordered and with a missing key topping. My phone number is right there on the order sheet. I love Jersey Mike's! I'm so happy Maricopa has one. I always get the Turkey and provolone on wheat bread, Mike's way, extra wet. It's way better than anything on the Subway menu. I love how fresh the ingredients tasted. It's simple, healthy, and delicious. The staff here are always working hard; I always see them working on mobile orders and a good amount of customers coming in. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program so you can start earning points! I kept forgetting the first 5x, and then I finally signed up for it and I've been saving up points. The prices for their sandwiches aren't bad at all. Sometimes I get the mega size and it's huge!! I love sharing it with my partner. They keep the tables clean. The restrooms are clean too. My daughter and I stopped in about a month ago. It was almost closing time. We were greeted by a very friendly guy Noah, he was very nice and polite welcomed us in. We just moved to Maricopa and Arizona so being overwhelmed with unpacking and all the moving/ unpacking stuff it was nice to get out and even more feeling important. Ordered 2 regulars and 1 giant, and my giant was missing the other half. And was basically told oh well you can come get you the other half. I literally ordered delivery. If I was able to pick it up I would have just gone in the store from the start. And then the woman that was in charge was rude about the whole situation when I said I would be in the next day to get a refund on the other half of the missing sandwich. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Food was good, however the entire staff needs to be retrained on proper food handling hygiene. The same gloves should not be worn to ring up customers on the register and making subs. If I was starving and on my last legs I wouldn't go back. The staff ignored us for about ten minutes. Nobody else was in the store. Nobody else was waiting on food. The phone was not ringing off the hook. IMNSHO the folks who worked there couldn't care less if you buy there or go someplace else so, we went to Fuddrucker's. Fuddruckers took our order in less than three minutes, the food was out in less than 10 minutes and made exactly the way we'd ordered it. The staff seemed happy to have the business and it showed in all respects. I can't help but note that I'm not the only person who thinks this location of Jersey MIke's has some issues.
