I am resorting to yelp since unable to contact Jack in the Box. When we entered there was two customers ordering. I told the clerk that we were still deciding. She went to do other things. As me and my 15yr old Autistic son were deciding, the female on the grill started yelling at the rest of the crew using the f word repeatedly. You could see that the front line crew was uncomfortable. My son was also very uncomfortable. He asked if we could go somewhere else, he feared they would start physically fighting. He is not use to people using harsh cursing language. We started to walk towards the door and the order clerk asked if we wanted to order. I said "No thank you. Started a drive thru order & couldnt hear the person on the other side. He (husband) responded he couldnt hear her (Lydia) He stated "The speaker must be going out, I still can't hear you." He turned off the car and started the order again. This time heard her say with an attitude "Like I said..." Husband responded "Like I said, I cant hear you." She came back with something snarky and my husband lost his temper and said "You know what never mind." This time she spoke up louder so we could actually hear her and sarcastically said "Have a good night!" He said "Go f*** yourself" and she said "You go f*** yourself." He asked her name and she said Lydia. I'm not saying my husband was right in his actions but she certainly wasn't professional. Always clean and friendly. The food, hot and fresh. The drive thru moves along at a good pace and if you want to dine in, there is plenty of parking. It's in a complex with a supermarket, gas station, casino, ATM, and other fast food establishments so you can finish multiple errands and eat too! I am always able to get the menu items I want any time I come through the drive thru. Now I have had a couple of mistakes with orders, but the staff always makes it right with a smile and apology. Every time we have gone to this particular Jack in the Box, the service is ALWAYS terrible. The customer service people are never polite. If you dare to say "thank you so much" to them, they just shut the window in your face without even a smile back. As for the food, the last 2 times we went it has been old and cold. We paid for a medium fry, and received a batch that had obviously been sat out after the lunch rush. The most recent time, we were not given any napkins or the sauces we asked for for my childrens nuggets. This stores food is Great, but the service is usually always terrible. Usually the staff is unwelcoming and the line take about 15-25 minutes to get through 4-5 cars. My husband found a bag in his soda and it was absolutely disgusting. We need an alternative in Dayton to this restaurant. I usually am happy with my meal but this time was different. Ordered a buttery jack and got a smashed jack. It was about an inch thick. Nothing like any of the photos on the menu. Well, this JIB keeps getting worse. Not only does the Coke machine keep getting dirtier and dirtier, but it seems that the staff don't really give much of two hoots and a holler once you're inside. It's very similar to Smith's in that they know they have a monopoly as the only fast food joint not named Subway or Taco Bell, and it shows. Compared to the Hwy. 50 location in Carson (which is a nightmare in and of itself) - this place is even more kafkaesque than that store given the bizarre waits combined with the crappy service. The cashier didn't get our order right, which is quite disappointing because we only ordered 4 value menu items, nothing specially made either. Absolute trash place, I don't understand how someone can mess up even the simplest items, I ordered pancakes. Didn't get any syrup. So I had to go back. Their hours say they open at 5:30 (it's on the door, also) but they didn't open until 6am. Finally got some pissy drive-thru service. And I have never once received an order that was fully correct. It's almost become a game, guessing what they'll get wrong. I think we all need to boycott until either they go out of business and we can get something good there, or whoever is in charge of this establishment sits up and takes notice. The problem is, they know that we're very strapped for choice and that we'll put up with their crap for convenience sake. Definitely the worst, most inefficient, overpriced, train wreck of a fast food establishment in all of northern Nevada. I genuinely don't know how corporate hasn't come in and fired the entire useless staff and hired new people. Not a single person there does their job correctly. Spent a total of AN HOUR in the drive thru tonight just trying to get my correct order. I would have gone into the lobby to get faster service, but unsurprisingly they have a handwritten sign saying "Lobby closing at 7pm" directly next to the official sign that says it's supposed to be open until 9. I would give them the benefit of the doubt and say they may have been understaffed, but that's hard to justify when they have 4 employees standing around behind the counter twiddling their thumbs doing nothing and another 2 just sitting at a table chatting and doing nothing. On top of that, I tried to call to speak to a manager and you cannot get ahold of anybody. They just stand there and let the phone ring and ring. The owner only hires braindead teens who are too concerned at a shot for social hour than they are concerned that they have a job and customers who PAY for what they ask for.
