Jack in the Box used to be my go-to place for late night snacks or a pit stop after a long day on the road. I stopped going here because I got fed up with the inconsistency in the food after each visit and I've noticed that this location in particular seems to run very poorly in the evenings. I wanted to try the Triple Bonus Jack and the Hot Honey Spicy Chicken Strips since they were new. After struggling to place my order with the employee who was not listening to a word I said, I ended up leaving with the burger and no chicken strips because they ran out. I thought they gave me the wrong size burger because it was very small and flat but no, it was the right one. Unfortunately the patties were the smallest and thinnest patties I have ever seen on a burger. It didn't taste good either. It's a good thing I avoided the chicken strips because I found out that the five piece strips were about $8 by themselves and the large burger combo I had was about $9. The tacos I ordered tasted like cardboard, the service was slow and had to wait when I was the only one in the drive thru, ambiance is a positive. This has happened a couple of times with the food being inedible. First time in live I've done this, I called corporate and complained about the food and service at this location. It's not worth it even for a quick meal. Never going back. read more

My decision to begin reviewing fast food restaurants has continued. We stopped at Jack in the Box today for a quick lunch. My wife had the buttery cheeseburger with curly fries and I had the ultimate cheeseburger (2 patties with Swiss and cheddar) with onion rings. Wow! Jack in the Box, where have you been all my life? I had not been to a Jack in the Box for many years and decided to give it a try. Wow! First thing to note: most of the negative reviews on Yelp are from three to six years ago. And, most negative remarks concerned service at the drive up window. Well, over the past few years I've noticed that this Jack in the Box does a good drive up business. So, my dear readers...just ignore the negativity. As I walked in I found a spacious, clean, bright, well laid out environment. The service at the counter was efficient and friendly. They called my number when the food was ready and presented it to me in a little basket. Drinks are self serve. Today I sampled the Bacon Double Green Chile Smash Burger with cheese which came with a drink and curly fries. Also experienced their breaded spicy chicken sandwich which came with lettuce and tomato and mayo. The big burger was really good: flavorful meat patties, gooey cheese, and delicious spicy green chile. This was one delicious burger! Rate it an "A-." The burger meal came to around twelve dollars...a super value for these times. I'll return for this meal for certain. The spicy chicken sandwich with mayo, tomato, cheese, and lettuce on a brioche bun was very good also. It was a little crispy and flavorful for chicken. A very good sandwich for the price. Rate it a "B+." The curly fries were good but not outstanding. Rate them "B " So, concerning the entire dining experience: quick service, great pricing, delicious burger and otherwise good food, and nice ambiance. Rate the overall dining experience Four Stars...meaning really good for a fast food restaurant. I'll be back...and before long. (PS: the only thing I didn't care for was the music. The spot was super clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food was made fresh (not sitting under heat lamp). This is a really great Jack in the Box location. It's clean and the staff were all very nice. The soda machine is awesome, so many choices...my kids had a blast! The food tasted fresh and it came out fast. I'll definitely go back to this location if I'm craving jack in the box in the future. read more

This Jack In The Box is located in a more remote area that is developing. It's by the freeway, so this place is great for a quick bite. It probably has the best view of the Organ Mountains. I like how quick their service is. The place is new and clean. I like their coupon deals too. read more

$7 for a triple bacon cheesy Jack that was about three bites and couldn't fill up a two year old kid. The hamburger patties were tiny dried up mini hockey pucks, the bacon was almost non existent and the cheese was nasty. I've also had the loaded tacos and almost threw up about hour after eating them. My wife had a breakfast burrito that was decent but why would I go to Jack in the box for a breakfast burrito when there are 50 other places in Cruces that blow them away for less money? They are relatively new so I gave them a second chance but I will never go back. Go to Carl's Jr and get a burger that will actually fill you up. Or, if you have time, go to Burger Nook and support local and get a real hamburger for less cost. read more

Not thrilled. I expect terrible service from fast food and terrible food but what I get here is past terrible. The food is normally raw and inedible. The pancakes are gooey on most occasions and I've been given raw food to the point that I report it to their corporate office. I've tried breakfast foods, rice bowls, burgers, donuts, dessert and even drinks and not once have I been happy. The breakfast is always cold and most the time the sausage or bacon is raw. The eggs are just a flat mess all glued together and the hash browns are greasy flat messes. The rice bowl is a joke and is cold with sometimes frozen veggies and meats. The sauce is similar to glue. Donuts are usually raw in the middle or very overlooked. Desserts are ok if you like doughy cookies. Drinks are never accurate and taste like the brix is off when you get soda. The tea is watery and the smoothies are chunky and disgusting. If you're brave enough to try ice cream you won't be happy it tastes like they water it down and then freeze it. So do yourself a favor and stay away. The drive through is terrible also. Good luck. read more

I really like this Jack n the box. It's right by my home, so it's easy to get to, and it's the largest Jack in the city. The staff has always been very pleasant, often going out of their way to bring your meal to you. Food is always prepared and hot (or cold if it's a cold item). The food is good for fast food. Bigger orders can often take extra time. read more

I really like this location! They make everything fresh and don't let anything sit under the light and their management is great. There's constant employee turnover, but it is consistently fast and hot. I'd be surprised to hear that someone had a bad experience at this location, any bad reviews were probably meant for the Lohman location, which is famously toxic even when intoxicated. read more

Let's just say if you want food poisoning with you order come here. I had the croissant breakfast sand which and apparently it came with a side of salmonella . Long story short I was sick for days and had to visit my doctor. But hey maybe this place is for you. #1 The first thing I asked for on my chicken sandwich was NO SAUCE. And what do they do? They add sauce. I'm not allergic but you know what? What if I was? #2 I ordered a medium drink and said "Medium Strawberry Lemonade". Now, this Jack in the Box has a serve your own drink thing so they usually have the said flavor of lemonade. But yet, there was no lemonade left. Nor any lemonade or "light" lemonade in the machine. Not that they should know exactly but maybe they could have said "Oh I'm sorry M'am but we're out of lemonade." Overall, one of the worst experiences I've had at any Jack in the Box. I walked 3.5 miles and all I wanted was a sandwich with no sauce. I may return but there's no saying I will in the near future. C'mon, Jack in the Box. Get it together. This IS meant for the one on Sonoma Ranch. And it's not the first time this Jack in the Box has messed up my order. read more
