None of the food we got was that good. It was just decent. Our server was very nice and just an overall good server. However - the next tables server was so obnoxious. She started berating customers to ... a customer. She kept talking down on how her customers don't tip , and if someone goes out to eat they better tip 20 percent or not go out at all. And how she has to tip out to her dishwashers or bar and she needs to be paid. This went on for like 4-5 minutes and really took away from us just wanting to relax. I've never been to a Texas Roadhouse and I didn't know what to expect from a restaurant chain like this but I was pleasantly surprised. We went in at peak dinnertime but were seated right away. It looked like everyone else waiting had big groups of people but it was just two of us so we were seated near the bar. We started with the cactus blossom and it was really good. I haven't had one of these in years (maybe the last time was at a Chili's, but I can't remember). I ordered the blue lemonade and it was mildly sweet but it didn't have any flavor. I ordered the Roadkill for my appetizer. It was ground sirloin with mushrooms, grilled onions, and jack cheese on top. It was pretty good. My sides were the steak fries and the corn. My companion ordered the prime rib. We weren't sure it was available tonight as the waitress said they usually don't serve it on Sundays but for some reason it was on the menu tonight. My companion had a side salad and the chili as well. Everything was good. We had more than enough bread rolls because the staff kept bringing them out to us. The bread was good but by the time we got our entrees we were already stuffed. I couldn't finish my fries and I didn't even touch the corn so I took everything home in a to-go box. The bill was a little over $60 and for two people that's a pretty good deal for the quality and the amount of food we received. I'd add it like this: I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Texas Roadhouse, especially with how the situation was handled by management. I ordered my steak medium rare and specifically reiterated that I wanted it medium rare. When it came out, it was medium well, so they immediately took it back. I had no issue with them correcting the mistake. The problem was that my steak never came back. By the time everyone at my table had completely finished eating, I still had no steak. I finally went to our server and told her not to bring it anymore because everyone was finished and we were getting ready to leave. Rebecca, the manager, came over and said she heard my steak had taken a long time and that she was going to take care of it. I explained that the issue wasn't just that it took too long -- I never received my steak at all, and I wasn't going to pay for something I never received. Then another manager approached me and said, "You're the one that yelled at the manager." That immediately made me uncomfortable because I never yelled at Rebecca. I was disappointed and expressed that disappointment, but I did not yell. Before leaving, I personally went back to Rebecca and told her, "I apologize if you felt that I yelled at you." Rebecca told me that she never said that and never felt that I yelled at her. I told her I was glad to hear that because I don't yell at people -- I was simply very disappointed with what happened. So I'm not sure why another manager approached me and accused me of yelling when Rebecca herself confirmed that wasn't the case. Mistakes with food happen. I understand that. What bothered me was that I never received my corrected meal, everyone at my table finished eating without me, and instead of the situation being resolved, I was made to feel like I had done something wrong. Our server and the service otherwise were fine. My disappointment is with how management handled the situation. I left without the meal I ordered and feeling uncomfortable over an accusation that Rebecca herself said wasn't true. Been here both times I've visited from out of state and the food was consistent and good. Everything is made from scratch, even their sauces. The fresh baked bread is a must! Their check-in system is very efficient and service is always fast and friendly. Every single person at the host stand said "bye" when we left. You also get peanuts while waiting. Inside is very country. I'm not a fan of the raw meat case in the front or the taxidermy animals that stare at you while you eat but I get the vibes they are going for. It's also very loud and a celebratory, which I don't mind. They have great vegetarian option. Yesterday we went and waited 35 minutes which is normal and actually the shortest I've never waited but the waitress knew we have 4 adults and a baby. I told my husband I was going to get a booster seat so my toddler should sit between us. Because he can't sit on his but and eat without one. Today I was there with a couple of friends and we didn't receive our order for 45 minutes after we had sat down . From the looks of it didn't look too busy. Our server wasn't very friendly at all .Not once did we get asked if we needed refills for our drinks .Not once did we get asked if the food was tasing okay . We went here while visiting a friend who lives Las Cruces. We had driven for quite a while and wanted to have some good food and good times. When we got there, it was really busy, but where actually seated within 10 mins. Our server was prompt and polite and got our drink orders and appetizers moving quickly. However my most recent visit did not meet these expectations. Our server, Savannah had a serious attitude problem. My steak was overdone which is not a big deal but I did send it back and she rolled her eyes and took it with a lot of attitude. The Star of the show was the big Bone in Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was tender, flavorful, and juicy with not too much fat. This was an excellent steak for the money. Rate it an "A ." Sure, you can get a slightly better one at places around the country for $80 to $130, but these Roadhouse steaks are great steaks for the masses. My sister and I are seniors and we went to our local Texas Roadhouse for the first time today. I am happy to say it will not be the last time !! Starting out with the wonderful hot rolls was a pleasant surprise. My 6 ounce sirloin was heavenly and cooked perfectly. The rib add-on was the absolute best I have ever eaten, just falling off the bones. My sister had the country fried sirloin and just fell in love with the wonderful 'crunch' it had as well as the wonderful meat inside. The sides were great and our cocktails were perfect also. Bianca was our server and she couldn't have been any better!! The music was a tad too loud so when we go back I will ask to be seated in a quieter section. However, this was a gifted meal for my parents and the fact it was so poorly executed was embarrassing. I also asked for extra bread and butter and got three rolls total (less than you get dining in). I regret choosing this place today and wasting $62.30 on uncooked and overcooked food. I was super impressed with not only how great our food was (get the beef tips with potatoes!!! Medium rare was BOMB) but also how amazing the staff were. Very friendly and absolutely on top of it. But, the food did not dampen in quality or speed. Texas Roadhouse is doing so many things right. Their servers are always cheerful and their food consistent. Our party enjoyed a variety of appetizers, main dishes, and even complementary dessert for our birthday boy! I won't say how old he turned, but the server did such a wonderful job of peer pressuring him into that saddle so we could sing, laugh, and make a memory. We were seated in less than 7 minutes. Our server was right there and patiently explained the menu since we were "first timers". Every single person who came to our table was friendly. The floor under our booth was covered in food and trash, the steak was underwhelming, the window sill had numerous dead flies scattered across it. Our bread rolls were burnt and hard. No catsup came asked twice more. None. Salad came. Asked for pepper. Never came. We ordered bowls of texas chili. When it came it was stone cold, not even lukewarm. Asked for it to be heated.
