First time eating here, my wife and I really enjoyed the food. We first tried the Chingo Chicharrones. They are hot and crisp, arriving popping at the table. The portion is huge (see photo). I would have liked some guac with them as the pico, since the pico, while nice, isn't enough for all the chicharrones. Took half home, and they were great the next day. But the star here is the fish. We had the Ahi Plate, which was amazing! It's very fresh and tasty Ahi Tuna, avocado, pico, pineapple (which really works so well here), and two great sauces: Habanero Mayo and a spicy honey sauce. Wow, this is a great dish! They serve very good horchata, too. Our server, Sabrina, was very attentive. Sat in the lovely patio with our three dogs, so points for being very dog-friendly. We will go back and try more fish dishes, like Ceviche and another of our favorites, Aguachile. read more

Thur was $5 margaritas. The jalapeno was smokey and a bit sweet. The dried jalapeno was HOT. The pineapple margarita was sweet, as expected. Churros were stuffed with apple, drizzled with caramel and served with a scoop of ice cream. Good little joint. My parents have been coming here with my aunt and uncle every Tuesday for the past two years. I have a gluten sensitivity and asked if they could make their quesadilla on their corn tortillas instead of their half corn/half flour tortillas and the waitress said it's against their policy because other people have asked. I did not think that was an unreasonable request, and I was validated seeing that other customer have also asked. They do have one vegetarian taco which is raw veggies with a bit of grilled pineapple on raw circles of jicama. I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone, so I wanted to try their other vegetarian option. A great find for lunch! Stopped in on New Years Day and enjoyed some delicious $5 margaritas (special for the day), a taco platter, and shrimp ceviche. We tried the perrones (shrimp & asada), chori-piña (chorizo & shrimp), and fish tacos and all were delicious! The chorizo was greasier than I expected but it's chorizo so can't be too surprised by that. Ceviche tasted fresh and had a ton of flavor. I had a lime and a grilled pineapple margarita and both were yummy but not too boozy. Our server was super polite and food came out fast. I loved the bright colors and fun music, too! We checked this place last minute and turned out great unexpectedly. As their name says, they are known for Tacos. You can mix and match tacos. President Shrimp and Marinated Chicken were our favorites we went for it again. Though a bit pricier than other place we went to in this town, it's worth it for tacos alone. Liked the fresh guac. Serving was a bit delayed though since the kitchen seemed busy. Lastly highly recommend the churros with ice creams. Churros came in fresh and hot, so went great with the Icecream. read more

Went for $2 fish tacos on Taco Tuesday. Tacos were very good, would be interested in checking out the rest of the menu.

This is a small ma and pa type sit down taco shop that exceeded our expectations. My wife and I shared a 4 taco platter with shrimp, steak, chorizo and fried fish. There was flavor in every single bite, along with various hot sauces at the table to sample. The steak shrimp combo taco was my favorite of them all. The fries that come with the platter was an interesting choice to pair with, but didn't think much of that as we were there to sample the Mexican choices. The shrimp ceviche rivaled those I have had in Mexican costal towns so was very impressed with the taste of it considering finding good seafood in the desert southwest can be a challenge. And the margaritas were unique, especially the grilled pineapple one. While they weren't terribly boozy they had great taste and enjoyed them very much. Friendly service from the moment we walked in as well. Happy we found this place as we will now make it a go to on our trips here. read more

Not the best experience last night. We ordered the queso fundido (mind you, it was $14 for a little tray of cheese). The fundido was chunky, looked like cheap eggs you'd get at a hotel. Zero cheese pull and very runny. We also got taco plates. We both got asada tacos and the meat was very fatty and mostly gristle. Fries were definitely fried in fish oil which makes me concerned about the hygiene of the food. Additionally, I had the abodado and the chicken tasted old, rubbery, and was not edible. We went to tell the server, they brought out a young man who claimed to be the manager. While the manager apologized (which we appreciated), he also got combative when we were explaining that the texture of the queso fundido was chunky when it's supposed to be smooth. We don't appreciate that at all. We went in wanting to support a local business and left under appreciated and misunderstood. I don't foresee us going back after that experience, but hopeful management and owners will work to improve the experience. read more

Used to be something good, now it's not. Asada is all fat and tastes like lard. Fish smell terrible. Taco special no longer exists.

Fish tacos are good. Shrimp tacos are ok. I love the calamari fries. Service is great. The only thing that I didn't like is that they charge you for every little sauce. I asked to substitute ranch dressing for the Chipotle sauce, they still charged me 1.50. I asked for limes for my water, another 1.50. For a second ranch, another 1.50. Come on! A unexpected surprise. We had our dog, so we needed a place that could accommodate her. We thought it was a traditional Mexican place, but it was quite different. I had the ahi tuna tostado and it was delicious and plated nicely. The chicken taco was also yummy. My fiance got the chili kekas and it was tasty. My only complaint was the service. Our server never brought us or the dog water (she did bring treats for the dog, however) and she never checked on us again after the food was brought by someone else. The food here is amazing! I usually only get the Adobado tacos and the guacamle and chips, but my boyfriend and his mom also loved their dishes. My boyfriend gets the fish tacos and loves them! I won't eat fish in New Mexico or anywhere that's not near a coast, but that's just me. Very kind staff, and love that they have outdoor seating. Nice selection of beer. Horrible customer service . I ordered over the phone and waited and waited then a customer did a walk in order . He got his before my phone order . Then they said they couldn't find the order . That they'd have to make it it'll take "a few minutes " longer than I already was there . I said I wanted to speak to the manager to see what they'd say and she said the food fell ? So they had to make another one . BS. Didn't even offer a discount or nothing . After I mentioned that to them all I heard was laughing from those chicks . Horrible experience. Horrible food. Me and my fiancé chose to eat at this new local restaurant for date night in part because if it's relatively good reviews. This was a mistake. We started by ordering calamari and a margarita. The calamari tasted as if it had been fried in 3 day old oil. It did not taste fresh at all. The margarita, while flavorful was extremely weak. When we asked the waitress if she could make another margarita a double she said that she couldn't. We asked if she could simply make a normal margarita but add an extra shot and charge us for it and she said that she couldn't. She gave no explanation and promptly walked away. Our entrees came, fish tacos and the tuna plate. The fish did not taste fresh and the fish tacos tasted of the same overly fried, old oil, calamari. Service was also poor with our waitress barely bothering to ask us if we need anything else. We had to call her attention to ask for napkins and she returned with one single napkin. We asked for the check and had an electronic credit card reader shoved in our faces. While she stood there impatiently waiting for us to enter our tip amount we had the choice between no tip, 15%,20%,25%, Enter your own amount. Would not recommend. read more

I would have liked more cilantro (only tasted it in one bite from three tacos), and some diced tomatoes though, or pico. Also disappointed that their bacon wrapped jalapenos were stuffed with shrimp :( Place was clean, very busy, plenty of seating inside and out.
