I have discovered the only way to get the salad I want exactly as it appears on their menu is to order online. Fine, I can do that. But now that I order online only, they make mistakes each time. Last time they forgot an order of fries and I had to drive back. They were courteous about the mistake but driving back is really annoying. This time, they gave me this large fries not filled up the way it should be. I paid $4.59 plus tax for a large and looks like I got maybe a medium's worth. Usually never write a review on Yelp, but this Jack in the box needs to shift around their employees or get a new manager at night. I understand that it is busy but 10-20 minute waits for the drive thru is a little much. What ever happen to window wait times before corporate stepped in to solve the issues? Window wait times shouldn't be more than 10 minutes when busy and most are 3 or less. They pace needs picked up and issue solved. read more

This place was crazy busy on Sunday--races in the desert? They weren't exactly ready for so much business. That said, they did a reasonable job of making sure people got their food. Great service from a strapping young lad named Dakoda. He took our order with vigor and cheer. He was friendly and knowledgeable in Jack's menu and options. His smile was very charming and warmed the whole dining room when he grinned. He delivered the steaming hot food to our dining table quickly and expertly. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is ok. The drive thru is fast. Try the chicken teriyaki bowl!! If you ask for fresh fries they will happily make them for you. They close the lobby at 10:00 p.m. Their soda machine can be quite inconvenient since it can only be used by a person at a time. read more

I came to this location one early morning when they're open at that time so it's not like they were closed and the ordering screen was off no signs posted but the drive thru lights on-come on people! This has got to be the worst jack in the box in the USA at least in California and I've been to probably 75 locations in the past 10 years. The pot heads that work here almost never get your order correct and their shake machine has been "down" for the past year but only after the pot heads come on shift. They are garbage and i think we'd be better served by another Starbucks rather than the idiots that work at this jack in the box after dark. I just have to give a shout out to the night shift on 9-1-13. We were starving - no kidding - and got there at 09:57. My friend only likes lettuce and bacon on his grilled sourdough chicken club and I wanted to try the sirloin burger on a sourdough bun because the bun it comes with is just total white flour and my arthritis acts up when I eat white flour. I was planning to pay for the order by using one ATM card for a certain amount and then the rest on a second ATM. Well of course, one card wouldn't go through because you can't run more than what you have in the account, even though the cashier was sure she could do it. It doesn't just take out what's there and give you a balance. And if you are a member of the Alta One F.C.U., once you run that card and screw it up, it takes time for it to reset. Longer than you want to spend in a drive through. The manager came over and tried to help and we wound up splitting the orders and trying it that way. No luck with the wronged card! It was spiteful and refused to be run for less. So, even though 3 people tried, I had to surrender my friend's sandwich because that's the one that had been run first. When I delivered the news that we had to give up one of the sandwiches, the manager simply smiled and said, "Don't worry about it. Enjoy both sandwiches and give us a good review on www.jacklistens.com! lol! So I did! And I'm doing it here too! We both appreciated having our food tonight! They worked with my vegetarian diet. The dont have a meatless burger, which is discount because theres no meat. I wanted the spicy sriracha burger, and instead of paying the $4.80, they added all the ingredients separately and it came out to $1.50. This is the closest fast food spot near the CCCC campus. They have an attentive staff that have been able to cater to my special needs, by offering vegetarian suggestions. The restaurant's lobby and bathroom are kept impressively clean. I love getting sourdough grilled cheeses, salads, and flavored iced teas. read more

Outgoing trip to Bishop: -Stopped at JITB...the drive thru sign inserts blew away in front of our eyes...LITERALLY!!! -Car in front of us drove up to said sign and it was blank..Uh, I'll have..... -Peels of hilarious laughter erupting from BF and I -Car in front of us even opens his door and tries to retrieve one of the sign inserts to no avail. Went to Jack in The Box in Ridgecrest around 5 am this morning & was refused service through the drive thru because their night manager Chris Buchan refused to take two separate orders. Keep in mind, my co-worker & I were the only people in the drive thru & had planned on spending well over $50 for the rest of our work group. I stopped at the drive thru window to ask him for a corporate numbers and his name, at which point he become very confrontational, refused to give me a phone number and attempted to hide his name tag.
