He even helped to make sure the table stopped wiggling when he saw it being a problem. He was very sweet to my kiddos, who are picky and easily distracted. On Sunday 5-24-2026, at five am I was seated in the Ridgecrest Dennys to order breakfast. The waiter was busy clearing tables & eventually served me requested coffee & ice water. I like me some Denny's We got stuck in the desert for 3 hours with our truck and this was the only restaurant open new years eve. It was nice and warm inside, everything clean, including the bathroom. Our waiter was super funny and nice, same with the chef. I love night crew antics The morning/day crew needs to get it together because they did not prep the kitchen well with defrosted meats that were on the menu. So there were people waiting up to an hour for their takeout while we sat in the restaurant. Which I feel is unacceptable because they are a 24 hour establishment, get it together and take care of your night crew because they also work off tips and it's a disrespectful practice. Gave my kind waiter a fat tip and called it a day, after eating a fire burger with bacon, and this really good sauce that he recommended. Get the mozz sticks ! Oh, Denny's. Le sigh. Service was great. Prompt, cordial, and accommodating. The smokehouse brisket melt was pretty good. When I got halfway through my Cobb salad, my daughter said, "Wasn't that supposed to have eggs?" The salad even has "egg" in the name lol. It turns out the cooks didn't bother preparing any boiled eggs this evening. So we waited a while just for a boiled egg to be brought to me when we were very finished with dinner. We came here for a late night dinner, and it didn't seem too busy. The interior was nice, but the seating was a little tight. We got the Wild Alaskan Salmon, Oven-Baked Lasagna, and Bourbon Chicken Skillet. The food was flavorful and filling, but the bread was a bland. Service could use some work. Disgusting! My wife unwrapped her untensils and her spoon had caked on food. She informed the waiter and he took the spoon and said that he'd give her a new one. He never brought her a new one. I spoke with the manager and he said that he would address it. Sadly, that's an inadequate response and a health violation which could lead to food poisoning. I am boycotting Denny's from now on as I do not trust their sanitary practices. I hope they go out of business soon! I was right! The staff is super helpful, and friendly. It's a vibe, especially at night. We don't have enough places out here that stay open late. That oven baked Mac n cheese though... so good. Wouldn't expect that from Denny's. I would go there for that alone. They also have good deals, especially if you have a Dennys account. They have a lot of good coupons. My friend and I have been eating at this Denny's in Ridgecrest 2-3 Days per week for more than 2 years. Usually the food is Acceptable Denny's quality. Usually the Service is Excellent due to the fact that we choose to sit at Manny's table. Definitely the best server around. However our recent visit late afternoon Wednesday 11/22/23, proved to be a different experience. My friend ordered Biscuits and Gravy with 4 Sausage Links. The Biscuits were under cooked (raw dough inside), Gravy Cold and Tasteless and Sausage served Raw. I ordered a Veggie Omelette, Hash Brown Potatoes and English Muffin. The Omelette was served Hot but Greasy. The Hash Brown were cold. The English Muffin was HORRIBLE! Obviously, this is BAD COOKS!!! But mostly BAD MANAGEMENT that allows this to happen!!! At these recently INCREASED PRICES (Very High) this should not be tolerated. Please be aware that the food quality at this Denny's may not be what it used to be! Denny's Poor Management has allowed this to happen. Since this meal, both my friend and I have experienced continuing stomach upset and lower intestine problems! Food Poisoning?!?! Maybe. I had the absolute worst service this morning by Liz. Very unfriendly and rude. When she came to our table we didn't get a hello or anything just, what do you want to drink. After waiting 30 minutes we still didn't have our drinks and I had to flag someone down. We finally got our drinks after 40 minutes. Then 15 minutes later our food arrived. Then that was the last week saw her. I noticed she spent 30 minutes talking to another table and completely ignoring us. I wanted more coffee. Again I had to flag someone down. So, long story short Liz is an awful server and I won't be back. Made my experience awful. I did email corporate so we'll see What happens. This is my 1st bad review for a restaurant. So I apologize. A great experience at this Denny's location. The server was courteous and attentive to our needs. We were in before a meeting and we were served nice and quickly with no problems at all. The food was fresh and the prices are (as always) very fair. I went with the Lumberjack Slam and it is just an unbelievable amount of food for the price. Bacon, Ham, Sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, toast (with all the fixins) pancakes...wowza. Talk about a food coma! We left with very full bellies and very happy wallets. This place deserves 5 stars for the staff. The wait staff are always cheerful and friendly. The extended family meets here a few times a month for breakfast. The food has always been cooked to order and has always been served hot. You normally don't wait for refills or the check. If you do just wave at the staff and they will be right over. There is plenty of free parking and parking available for tractor-trailers. Watch the entry and exit of this parking lot so you don't pop a hole in your oil pan. The best entry to their parking lot is near their sign off China Lake Blvd. read more

I've never been a huge Denny's fan, probably because I never grew up or lived close to one, but I'm finding it hard to find anything I like about them, personally. I at least thought I would be safe ordering some scrambled eggs until I learned they use a mix that has dairy in it. If you can't even do scrambled eggs right I probably won't be a big fan of the place. Our waitress was friendly but my boyfriend had to ask 3 times for a side of ranch. In the middle of our meal they started cleaning close to our table and the chemical smell was strong enough to make me feel nauseated. It was late and they gotta clean sometime, but it definitely didn't help me to enjoy my meal. I got a cobb salad and added grilled chicken. The avocado on it was perfect and the chicken was good but a little dry. Everything else was pretty good for a pretty basic salad. Also wish they'd serve some sort of grilled chicken meal that wasn't on the 55+ menu but, not much you can do about that. It was hard finding something here I could eat so based on personal preference and trying to stick to a stricter diet for health reasons, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at a Denny's again. Still think it's A-OK since service was nice, just not a place for me. read more

This is for a party of 2 on a Sunday at about 11 a.m. The food was fine. Service, on the other hand, was lacking. Customers that arrived after us got their food before us. It is now 12:17 and our foid arrived 15 minutes ago. My water glass has been sitting on the edge of the table for a refill for 15 minutes. Not one staff member acknowledged it, refills were never offered. But the host did literally sit at the next table with customers and took their drink orders.
