We went to the dolphin avenue location that was listed and couldn't find it, so I called the number listed and got the voicemail. Quickly they called me back and sent me the address of where they were in the evening, at 1033 W Inyokern Rd, which was so kind and I appreciated that service! Immediately upon arrival, you are greeted by the picture of their beautiful family on the outside of the truck and we quickly learned the story of their "Gordito" and how they have run their business in honor of their late son. Before we had even tried a bit of their incredible food, we were already touched by the story and meaning behind their business! And then, we ate the food and oh my goodness was it delicious! We got the quesabirria combo (must try!!!) and then three tacos- pescada, carne asada, and barbacoa. We devoured it all and were in awe of how delicious it is. What an honor it was to meet this incredible couple, learn about the amazing way they honor their son, and enjoy their delicious food.
