Decent place to come grab a beer and watch football, but will never live up to Schooners that it replaced. I was surprised when I finally tried Happy Hours that their menu is almost identical to what I remembered of Schooners, so I thought maybe I could come around. They have a decent draft beer list, and long cocktail menu, as well as very similar daily deals throughout the week to what Schooners had. The interior is pretty dark, with black and white decor - they removed the rustic charm from Schooners without really adding any improvements imo. The chicken caesar salad I had my first visit was not very good, the chicken was clearly from frozen. However the buffalo chicken fries my table shared were pretty good. My second visit I got the buffalo chicken wrap which I enjoyed, but the service that visit was awful. They seemed severely understaffed, and it took over an hour from when we sat down to when we got our food. Overall probably won't be trying here again for a while. read more

I love this place. They have a specialty drink list. Every drink on the list is served in a schooner glass. They use good liquor also for the drinks. So far my favorite is their Mai Tai. Awesome! They have daily menu specials too. I like bar bites and they have a good simple menu. My favorite item is the 3 crispy taco plate. Can't forget the fried pickles... The wait staff were fantastic! Very friendly and helpful. Super nice and attentive. We went on $20 ribeye Thursday. While I ate all my ribeye (I had missed lunch and on the road for 4 hours), I was disappointed. I ordered it medium rare. When it arrived it was more on the rare side and room temperature. The mash potatoes under the steak rather than beside it was a little unusual and felt like we were shorted on potatoes. The broccolini was pretty good. I should have went with a burger or pizza. First time eating at Happy Hours bar and grill. I ended up getting the Rise N' Shine burger, as shown. I was pleased that the TVs were showing game six of the NBA Finals, Indiana Pacers vs Oklahoma City Thunder, which was a nice atmosphere. The service wasn't horrible. The burger was amazing! I need to go back a couple more times to make sure it's consistently that amazing. My only tiny harp was I had asked for tater tots and was given fries. Again, that's just me but the fries were good. We tried this place twice when they first opened and weren't too impressed. We decided to wait a while for them to work out the kinks and tried them again just yesterday. This time the quality of food was so much better. We enjoyed everything we had and it all came out hot with great flavor. The one thing that took a star away was service. Service with a smile seems to be a dying art and there was one person working the entire front of the house. So the bar tender was also the waitress and this meant it took time for everything. On a Saturday that's pretty crazy. So hopefully they hire more people for a better, more consistent flow of Service. read more

We LOVED it. They had the best pipers I had in the very long time. Pretzel was wonderful too. We had one like this in Denver a few years ago. A new place that has worked out the kinks and mishaps that come with opening a new spot! Pretty slow on a Thursday. Staff were very attentive and got things done. Hustle when needed and were more than accommodating. From the time we walked in food on table within 30 min and drinks were good.. Ive consistently heard bad things about this place and its a shame because schooners was such a great restaurant and I loved them but happy hour has the worst staff. They have no problem ignoring customers while they chat it up with friends, so disrespectful!! The food is ok but not worth it read more

The food was fried subpar bar food, the drinks are very "college style" with lots of flavored alcohol and mixed alcohol, nothing impressive or exciting. I have mixed feelings about this place. The servers are nice but the food is hit or miss. I wasn't a fan of their blue cheese burger, but did enjoy the fries. I had a side Cesar salad. I really liked it. Which prompted me to order it for take-out another night.. Drove across town & when I got home I noticed they gave me ranch, so I went back, they apologized for the mistake. The lady gave me a free churro for the inconvenience. I thought that was really sweet. Got back home and this time they had given me Italian dressing. Still no ceasar. By the time the waitress was done chatting with the tables long enough to take my payment I asked her to please heat it up (again, I've been looking at it for 20 minutes so I know it isn't exactly fresh off the grill).
