Nasty food experience. I went through drive thru for lunch today. When I looked at the chicken on the spicy crispy chicken sandwich I recieved, it looked kind of flat and burnt. I made the mistake of biting into it anyway and immediately regretted it! It was hard and dehydrated like it was hours old and just thrown in the fryer and reheated. Stomach was upset for hours after. I have eaten there before and it has never been that bad, but it has never been great either. The district manager did call to apoligize and offer me a free meal which is good service. She explained that she reviewed the videos and reminded the employees of food handling procedures so hopefully that will not happen again. read more

This location is okay, but there are better Jack in the Boxes out there. Most of the staff don't speak English very well, so it's a major pain trying to get them to understand and work with a coupon at the drive-thru. Because of the odd location and occasional slowness of the drive-thru, it's not uncommon to see cars backed up to the street waiting in line. If you need a Jack in the Box, there's no real reason to avoid this one, the food has always been up to par with the rest of Jack's establishments. On a more current note: the Bonus Jack combo is a ripoff. It's been a while since I've had a Big Mac, but I'm pretty sure it's bigger than a Bonus Jack. In my honest opinion, you'd be better off with a Big Carl. You'll pay about the same but get twice the burger. read more

A friend had a coupon for buy one teriyaki bowl and get one teriyaki bowl free. We came here for two teriyaki bowls. I'd never had one before. We also used a 2 free taco coupon. Both the teriyaki bowl and tacos were out quickly and quite tasty. I haven't been to Jack in the box for a while, but I find their commercials quite whimsical. You know as pricy and Jack in the Box is compared to other fast food places like McDonald's, I still prefer to come here every night cause they have the best service ever!!! I always come late at night after I'm off of work and that late at night you would expect employees to be grumpy and tired, cause I know I would be, but they are always so nice and have the best service I've seen in a long time. I tell everyone at least at this location their service is the best I've seen in fast food ever hands down. Their food is pretty good but I only keep coming back because of their service and their employees. I've always gone to this jack in the box and I've had somewhat of a problem. I went just a few days ago and ordered 4 tacos regular , and I got my tacos within seconds. As soon as I got to my friends car I checked the bag and was about to eat one and said.. Wait where is my lettuce, why did they give me plain tacos?! So we went threw the drive thru cause I was so tired and as we got to the window they didn't know what was going on, the workers were rude. And they guy that had given me my tacos , I believe his name is angel? Said h were the girl that just came inside right? And I said yes, he proceeded to tell me "next time why don't u come inside of u came inside and ordered" and I was like did he really just tell a customer that?! Not the first time we've had an issue at this location, but typically it was minor enough that we just let it go. Most recently however, we attempted to use the app and upon hitting the "place order" button, it said that specific location wasn't available for mobile ordering. This was already frustrating because it allowed us to get all the way to the end. I sent my son to pick up the food. It was pretty late, so he was tired and not fully focused. Upon ordering and mentioning the issue w the app, the lady said that they could not honor the coupon we were trying to use on the app. Having been in customer service for MANY years, this made me extremely upset to find out. A simple nice gesture (especially since it was not our fault, but their app), would have been to honor it or give a discount elsewhere. After placing the order, he was told to go wait for the food. It was over 10 min of waiting, when finally they brought the food and told him everything had been checked and to have a good night. Upon getting home and opening the bags, over half the food was missing!!!! There was a bag filled with napkins and sauces only. I reached out via survey and complaint on the app but never received a response. Very hesitant to return, as that was $10-15 worth of food not received and the experience overall not good! read more

Worst Jack in the box ever and let me tell you, I occasionally love Jack In The Box because I find their food to be better than other fast food places but, I swear this particular Jack N' The Box has the worst customer service and the poorest quality when it comes to food. I know fast food isn't the healthiest but, why is it that every time I come here their sandwiches and tacos are drenched in oil? The worst part is sometimes it looks old and they just dipped the food back into some hot oil and try re selling that bullshit. Besides the food here being made with poor quality, the workers here have the poorest customer service and have always seemed like they fucking hate their job. Tonight we came thru the drive thru, ordered some food and a coke. After receiving my drink I had noticed that it was only half way filled but, the cashier had left to get the rest of my order so we had waited. It wasn't more than a 2 minute wait. When she finally came to the window we had told her about our cup being half empty and if she could fill it to the top and with attitude she told me that she couldn't take it back and refill it since it had already left the window. I find that very hard to believe considering I've worked at a McDonald's and they usually throw the shit away they take back and just give a new one anyways to avoid conflict. Another thing, at Starbucks which I'm sure they make more money than jack n' the box...They actually take back drinks, throw them away and re make you one if you weren't satisfied with your drink. I don't understand why Jack N' the box couldn't just fill my drink to the top like it should have been. I don't recommend this jack n the box AT ALL!!!!!! If I could I'd give this place no stars. P.S. I just checked my bag of tacos and she didn't even give me taco sauce. I didn't think I had to tell her since it's common sense considering the fact it's like throwing ketchup in the bag for burgers and fries. DON'T EVER COME HERE. TRUST ME. Amanda is very professional, best customer service in Simi Valley for fast food! She's always quick, polite, professional, and she's also a really pretty girl. Always happy when she takes my order cause I know it's gonna be the way I want it ! Don't let the old reviews fool you on this location it's clean professional and all of the above. Amanda does a great job (she's the manager) I think the only thing I could say they should improve with is the fact the there is always at least one drug addict homeless guy asking you for change or drugs at the tables outside. It's very disturbing and I'm sure adults wouldn't want to bring they're kids around that so all the (normal) folks sit inside. They should have a no loitering sign and if they are not there to purchase food, eat and be on they're way, they should call the police and have them fined for loitering. That stuff is not okay, same problem at Carl's Jr. on erringer except there they actually do drugs in the bathroom, hangout inside and ask everyone for change. Simi Valley has some odd characters that should not be getting away with this behavior. read more
