I don't normally review fast-food establishments. It's fast food ..... whatever. And, especially when it's a place like Jack in the Box. If you haven't heard of the place, nor been to one yet, that is more strange than myself writing this review for a fast food joint. I've never had a problem with Jack in the Box, it's always been consistent across the books over the years. Whatever I order, has always been as I expected it to be. Especially the $1 chicken sandwich (with tomato) .... I'm a sucker for that one in a pinch. However, as good as my breakfast steak burrito was this morning as I left Spokane Washington heading back home to Montana, it's not the food I want to review. We were blown away by the cashier/customer service professional who greeted us at the counter. Her name is Joanne. She worked the early morning shift on this day of 9/16/2013 (should her manager, who SHOULD be reading this, see this). We think her name tag might have abbreviated to "Jojo" or something else, but she was too busy doing her job and those of 3 others, that we couldn't see it long enough to determine it. We're simply going off of the name on the receipt. It was very apparent that they were understaffed this morning. Joanne was not only running the counter out front, but was obviously in charge of the drive-thru as well. I'm pretty sure there was only one other in the back arranging orders. However, under pressure and backed up, Joanne never missed a beat. She was extremely polite and very customer service oriented. Truly professional. I've had worse experiences in top-notch restaurants. All in all, I would simply drive out to the Valley just to get some Jack in the Box from this particular location, if I should have such a craving or need. Our hopes are that Joanne would become the manager of this location, and be a trainer who could make every location treat their customers this well in due time. Food was alright except for they ran out of sourdough bread for their sourdough jack. Fries were cold so we sent them back and we got hot ones which were good. It's freezing in here. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and smell of piss. read more

I went in on sunday for a breakfast burrito. I usually enjoy them. this one not. the meat was cold, and it tasted like they soaked it in the grease pan. The lady didn't put the lid on my drink and when she handing it to me it fell all over my lap. so when I asked why she didnt put it on she said "Covid". when i asked for a new one she said no, so i got my food and left to clean my car up. I took a bite out of the burrito and it was F****in disgusting. I called back and complained to the manager, well the manager was her. she was like, i made that and i don't see how it was cold or bad. I asked for a refund and she said i would have to wait till monday. I called and called and called.... nobody answered..... so i went to the location and went thru the drive thur. the manager was a complete Bitch. she was arrogant and rude, and didnt want to help. SHAME ON YOU for your attitude lady. NEVER AGAIN....... read more

Tonight I went through the busy drive thru....It was a very long wait time. Finally got to the window and the drive thru window worker not only apologized with a smile for the wait, but offered us free cheesecake. To be honest, we weren't upset to begin with because we could tell it was a very busy time. It was so nice of her to do this for us! Every time we go here, the workers are funny, smiling and always courteous. Thanks for the cheesecake! Keep up the good work! read more

This is one of the worst Jack In The Box locations that I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dining at. In the previous weeks, it feels as if they have only been getting progressively worse; not sure if it's because they have new people working there or if it's just due to the general lack of proper business ethics that these people seem to have lately. You might think I'm being harsh, but rest assured that this response is fully merited. I just returned from Jack In The Box ten minutes ago and feel fairly confident that I'm never returning to this location ever again. My boyfriend and I ordered six tacos with no cheese, pizza bites, one steak and egg burrito, and a sirloin steak burger combo with a large Dr. Pepper and a large strawberry smoothie. In the middle of the ordering process, the guy on the microphone was switched out for a girl who proceeded to make us recite the order again. Everything was correct on the screen but she misread the total amount that was due (stating that it was $32 instead of $22). When we arrived to the drive-thru window to pick up our order, she was incredibly rude and almost spilled the smoothie while handing it over to us -- a smoothie that was originally intended to be a large but somehow suddenly became a regular size instead. We checked the receipt, noting she had marked down the wrong size in comparison to what had been listed on the screen. The sizing issue wasn't so much of a big deal so I ignored it and took a sip, only to discover that it was a strawberry banana shake instead of a strawberry shake... and I'm allergic to bananas. We were hoping this was just another small slip up and proceeded to go back to our apartment, intending to still enjoy our meal. As a side note here, the woman who had provided us with our order at the drive-thru window was still exceptionally rude; most of the people who have worked at the front have always been somewhat friendly and inquired about what we thought about their service and asked us to come again, but this girl didn't even say anything and had the most unfriendly expression on her face I've ever encountered while at a restaurant. Upon arriving home, we realized that there were several more substantial errors with our order. The large Dr. Pepper was apparently substituted for a diet Coke and the steak & egg burrito was cooked incorrectly, had an overabundance of spices, a different sauce that wasn't previously even included, and the eggs were literally inedible. The tacos didn't have any cheese (as requested), but someone apparently thought that the lack of cheese needed to be compensated by dousing the tacos in an excessive amount of sauce. The amount of errors in our order made it almost impossible to enjoy our meal and I can pretty much say that my entire $22 was wasted. We barely received anything that we had originally ordered and the food was so poorly prepared, in combination with horrible customer service. I understand that this is a fast food restaurant and that one can't expect for the food or the orders to be perfect every time, but on a scale of 1 to 10, this experience was a low level 1 and I never want to return to this location ever again. It's fairly disappointing because I really enjoy grabbing a few snacks at Jack In The Box every now and then, but clearly this location in the valley doesn't even care about keeping up to the usual standards of other Jack In The Box locations throughout the city. read more

I realize no customers will ever see this because you only post the best reviews to your site, however I will tell you how horrible the store on Sullivan in Veradale WA truly is anyway. It's close to my house and I have used the drive thru a few times. The burgers and fries are always cold and soggy, they NEVER give you napkins or ketchup...don't even ask if you want cream and sugar in your coffee... and your order is practically thrown at you when you get to the window. Food has actually landed in my lap and on the seat do to their sloppy rudeness. I had to throw my latest order of brunch burger, homestyle potatoes and coffee in the trash because it was completely inedible. The potatoes were literally swimming in grease, the egg burnt and bacon all fat and uncooked on my brunch burger and the coffee? Simply undrinkable. When speaking with the "supposed" manager she giggled thru the entire conversation. Apologizing at one point, but really did NOT seem to care. Even when I told her I had to throw it all away because it was absolutely gross, went to McDonald's in the next town and will not be going back. This is why I say supposed manager....I would hope a real manager would try to make it right and certainly NOT giggle the whole time. I found myself eating here one listless afternoon. I was not in a good mood, so I was expecting to be really pissed off at the service at this place, given its fast food and the workers at those places are paid so poorly they love to take it out on customers and give you minimal service or respect. I had lunch at this place today and drove thru the drive thru, after giving Jack (Hailee) my order I was waiting in line in my truck getting my money ready. My order came to $7.27 and I had to use a $20 so I was looking for some change and I found 26 cents. Well,..... I was thinking that would be enough and I could slide on the penny...right? Normally!....Woooops not this time! I told her all I could find was 26 cents and gave her the money. Sooo... I'm waiting, waiting, she closes the window and stands there looking at the money....then another girl opens the window and hands me my food while Hailee is still standing there...DUH...finally, she opens the window and gives me a whole handful of change...99 cents to be exact and twelve dollars. That's what I was trying to avoid was all the change and spare their change out of the register...right? Anyway she needs to go back to customer service school for sure, I wouldn't want her to be running my cash registers...Common sense, common sense, common sense!
