Reserved a table for 20 a month ago for a work project celebration. Arrived and they had an indoor space set up, it was the first warm day so our team asked if we could sit outside since no one was out there. They were so patient with us and accommodating and set up tables outside. I know it was a huge inconvenience, so it is appreciated. The server was super friendly and came by the table a lot to make sure we had water, chips, and salsa. We all ordered margaritas and four of the shareable platters. In my previous review we had excellent service and food. This time not so much. While the food was excellent, the service was pretty lacking. One bowl of chips with no offer for more, drinks were only refilled once (which is precisely how many times we saw the waitress). Most of the evening our glasses remained empty. Maybe it was because we were outside with a handful of others, not sure. The indoor part of the restaurant had several empty tables, so it wasn't that they were just trying to keep up with a big crowd. Either way a bit disappointing. The food on the other hand was very good. My 'ol standby, chimichangas, were fantastic, and my wife says the taquitos were very good as well. This was our first time here and I'm very pleased with the food and service. We ordered a flight of tacos and the rebel fries, which hit the spot and compared to Mexican food back home. Our server was Celia-she was great and even helped me celebrate my boyfriend today, as it was his birthday. I was very disappointed. We buy a lot of raw ingredients from their market in the Valley. We are always happy with the result. We made a special trip up to to the GU area just to try the place. And I should have known that mediocre "Mexican food" meant the service would be abdominal and it was! Me and my roomate went into the restaurant yesterday June 26th between 8pm and 9 pm and immediately as we walked in were met with unwelcoming looks. My roommate who has a disability tried to communicate that he wanted to sit at the bar to have a drink and look at the me since we usually order from food delivery and the menue and prices tend to differ. As we sat at the bar the staff comes up and says you can order to go but my boss (Collin) said we can serve you! I was initially dumbfounded because we were provided no reason nor did the manager come and talk to us and I would ask that you pull all you security feed and see that he was in No way disrespectful or disruptive. I really don't understand and the restaurant did not apologize. My roomate was so embarrassed that he just wanted to leave and I think that's what made me the most upset. Lack up communication and empathy from this place lead to my roomate feeling so bad he wanted to leave. The food was decent but nothing worth screaming for. I can get better tacos at a small taco truck downtown to be completely honest. The margarita flights... NOT worth the money. They were so sweet and could not taste any alcohol we had to order extra shots to put in our flights which made them even more expensive after already being $20. Yikes. The service was good, our server was really funny and nice but service was veryyyy slow and we sat there in total for almost 2 hours with a party of 5.
