I wish I could give this place no stars if I could! On Valentine's Day my husband and I went to grab something quick at jack in the box around 8:30pm and the lady working was HORRIBLE! Horrible service! The lady at the window gave us our food. We didn't get straws for our drinks and no sauce like we asked when ordering, the lady closed the window so fast before asking if we needed any sauce. My husband was trying to get her attention through the window to ask her. The lady then saw my husband and told the people she was talking to on the headset to hold on and then she open the window very fast and in a pissed off attitude and then says WHAT!?!? We asked we didn't get straws. She then says ok!? Here! And then we said could we please get some sauce she got sooo pissed and said there's some in the bag! This lady was very rude!!! Bad service ,bad workers ,dirty place. I went to Jack In The Box ordered my food at 12:15am and got my food at 12:50am the workers are so bad at doing the drive thru and the front at the same time and do not how to manage when it gets " busy"they act very rude. Workers decided to do drive thru the whole time while having 9 other customers in front waiting for food . When I got my food it wasn't even the way I asked for it and very cold I tried to go back but they had the doors locked when outside in the door it said the dining area closes at 2:00am !!! I've eaten at this JiTB maybe 40 times over the past 22 years. Doesn't sound like a lot, per year, but it's a LOT. Consistently good service. I have recently had their version of the In-N-Out double double. I think it's called the "Double Jack." Very large, very sloppy, lots of Thousand Island-type dressing, very tasty. I recall it being about $5 for the basic sandwich, more with the fries and soda. (Which I rarely get....a cup of water is fine for me.) Carl's Jr. has a similar competitor to the In-N-Out double double. Theirs is called the "California Classic," at $2.49. Smaller than the JiTB version, but satisfying. I've been back to Carl's Jr. several times in recent weeks for their California Classic. The JiTB version is just too much food for me to eat in one sitting. (I weigh 215 lbs, 6'2", but I try not to be a glutton. Too much food leaves me lethargic.) The JiTB version was so large that I took half of it home and microwaved it later. Yeah, the lettuce gets gnarlified in the microwave, but the burger was still pretty tasty several hours later. ( I think the common ingredient here, and with some versions of the Double Double, is the addition of grilled onions. Maybe not to everyone's taste, but I see that all of these competitors with the Double Double make grilled onions the default. Probably McD and BK ought be paying attention.) Generally, I applaud this move by places like Jack in the Box and Carl's Jr. to upgrade their burgers to In-N-Out standards without making them ultra-expensive and without adding all kinds of gimmicks like bacon and avocado and all. (The "Six Dollar Burger for Only $7.59" was not very interesting to me--too much stuff and, of course, eventually a self-referntial joke..) Just emulate the classic double cheeseburger that was (probably) pioneered by Bob's Big Boy back in the 1950s. (I have read that Wendy's has a similar double cheeseburger. I usually order off of their "value menu." And my experience at Burger King and McDonald's in recent years has been terrible. On a trip up north, I stopped in Half Moon Bay (CA) and got some kind of double burger on a long roll...two patties on a long roll. It was nearly inedible and I threw half of it away.) This morning my wife and I decided to get take out from the Watsonville branch drive thru. We ordered 2 of the new chicken,bacon and egg brunchfest burgers with regular fries. When we got home...not even a 5 minute drive...we found that the fries were STONE COLD AND INEDIBLE and that there was No bacon on either order!! Not only was the food order wrong but we were NOT given a receipt. I tried to reach out to Jack through the website but the contact jack section kept cancelling all my information so I am now writing this review here. My family and I came from San Francisco to visit some family and friends, we decided that on our way back we would get something quick to eat. We got off and went inside the moment we stepped in a employee gave us a nasty stare, as we were ordering our food I politely asked the lady for more ketchup and her response was to fill my bag with ketchup. Fast forward when my sister wanted to go to the bathroom she couldn't because they were extremely dirty, there was urine on the floor and the toilet seat, there was no toilet paper and no towels to wipe your hands. I am never coming to this jack in the box ever again. I'be ordered 3 times a breakfast jack. It comes with egg and ham and for an additional 50 cents i add sausage but the same guy that jas taken my order the past 3 times wants to charge me 50 cents for sausage (which i understand) but also 50 cents for the ham, which should already come with my sandwhich.
