Went there to get a quick breakfast, never again. We both ordered French toast with scrambled eggs. I had bacon with mine and my girlfriend had bacon and sausage. After using enough salt and pepper I could eat the bland eggs and hash browns. But what really got me was when I tried to cut the French toast with a plastic fork. I tried stabbing the toast , but was afraid I'd break my fork. I had to use my knife to cut the toast into smaller pieces. And I still couldn't get the fork to pierce the toast. Had the Grande Sausage Breakfast Burrito, and picked up two medium curly fries because the app had a great deal on them. Seriously, get the app if you haven't because there are tons of deals on there. But yeah, breakfast burrito was great and hit the spot. For fast food, you can't really complain. Absolutely TERRIBLE service. It took us 45 minutes to order because the lady taking our order didn't understand English and kept misinterpreting us and getting the quantities wrong. It looked like the person in front of us was having the same problem because they also took 30 minutes. When we pulled up to the window, turns out, she got half of our order wrong. No Dr. Pepper, no straws, no churros, and NO RECEIPT. I peered into the kitchen and there was a rodent staring back at me. It also smelled rancid as if they were storing rotting dead corpses in the freezers when we went back to contest our order (which took and ADDITIONAL 20 MINUTES because she didn't give us our receipt!). Also, the fries chipped our teeth because they were so poorly prepared. My Dr. Pepper was watered down. My chicken was pink in the middle. I'll update if I contract salmonella. A few months ago, they had superb "2 for 1 Jumbo Jacks", and I wrote a 5 star review. No longer do they have it. So I switched to 2 Junior Jumbos for $ 6.50 and was fine. Until yesterday. I got my usual 2 Junior Jumbos and left smiling. Not for too long ! Within about 15 minutes, while driving, I felt nauseaus, then broke out in sweats and my ears began to ring, signaling I may faint. Barely made it to the gasoline station across the street and felt I was getting a bad bowel movement. Layed down in my car and used a plastic bag for the bowel horror. What a mess ! Never before did I have to use my car as a bathroom. Jack in box became "toilet in the car". My head was spinning. Diarrhea continued pretty much into the night. Looks like they got a bad bug in their food. So, next time you go to eat there, have some plastic bags and toilet pater with you. Kindley, they give you actually plenty of napkins, possibly because they know the food will exit you fairly soon ? And nowadays, with all the bugs going around, you better make sure you can convert your car into a bathroom within seconds. And lay down first, so you can faint comfortably. This is a great Jack to grab a quick breakfast. Plus, several cheap gas stations nearby on Highway 62. You can't go wrong with the Meatlovers Burrito Combo ($6.59) . Plenty of food to keep you fortified for hours, and Jack's coffee is really good (I got a refill). The chintzy little hashbrowns patty could be better, but for the price it is just fine. The staff here is incredible! So many talented cooks that work very well together. Greeted in a manner of seconds with a friendly smile. The entire lobby was super clean and my food was 100% correct! Hi desert local for about 30 years now and since I was a kid this has been the go to spot for my entire crew:) and I think , Thursday and Saturdays, some really cool classic car owners have chosen this location to meet up. But even if you don't go on those days, be prepared for a special time. When I told the employees if they could clean the restroom really quick one of them said 'yeah well get to it' and then the 5 of them continued to lean on the walls and talk about some tv show. There were no cars in the drive thru and none in the lobby. I waited a few minutes and asked again, the response was 'can you hold on a second' I responded saying that there was literally shit on the toilet and I didn't feel comfortable using it. Pretty disappointing. I ate a chicken sandwich which looked nothing like the picture and had been obviously pre-pre-precooked. Who knows how early they cook everything? I used to appreciate Jack in the Boxes because you could always get freshly (just cooked!) fried foods. (Jalapeño Poppers, fries, tacos, egg rolls etc.) Super scorching hot and delicious. No more. For a fast food joint this place was definitely five stars. The place was spotless, the restrooms were immaculate, the employees were extremely friendly and well-dressed and company attire. As soon as I walked in the door I was welcomed to Jack in The box by an employee and assured me that someone would take my order quickly. The french fries were hot and crispy, the big chicken sandwich combo meal was excellent, the free eggroll I got with a coupon was great and although I'm not a fan of the tacos both of those that I ordered were delicious. I left completely stuffed and spent just a little over $5. Whoever is responsible for hiring training and supervision of these employees at this store is to be commended. I watch the interaction between those working here and many other customers and they were all just fantastic. This is probably the best Jack in the box that I've been to. Nicely done. read more

Please don't go here they literally tried to still my card by not giving it back to me before my food like they are trained to do in every fast food joint. I really feel like they do this often and took my card number I had it canceled immediately but still was able to track it down and wanted the card back regardless. I went in showed them my ID and they tried to tell me it wasn't my card when my name on the card and ID match. They clearly wanted to keep it badly. We ordered our food, she read it back to us correctly but when we got our food the order was wrong, when we explained this to her she replied "Well when I read you back your order you said it was correct" with a snooty attitude 1. The one thing I really like about the Yucca Valley place is if someone has a large order they usually have them pull around and they bring their food to their car...I usually have a small order and so I don't have to wait forever as I do at most of the other so called fast foods...I usually get a breakfast jack and senior coffee and the food is very good and I think they have the best coffee in town...and from what I have seen the employees are always very pleasant...John... read more

However, I don't know what is going on with this Jack in the Box location because they seriously go above and beyond. I have been here a lot as I deliver for Door Dash, and every time they do such a great job. Even when I have gotten in that late-night drive-thru line that leaks out into the parking lot, they keep the line moving quickly, and my late night snack is always warm and delicious. I have NEVER left this Jack in the Box without feeling better than I did walking in. The people working here treat you like FAMILY. I feel like I'm visiting uncles and aunties whenever I come here! What other fast food place have you been to that does that!? They don't have to do that, but they do! Their milkshakes are the best because they're made with LOVE, people!
