Very fun place with cool western saloon vibes, live music and line dancing! You order at the bar and pick up outside, which can get a bit hectic, and their menu is quite limited. I had their classic burger which was a lot smaller than expected and was fine overall, came with really good chips on the side though! Also had a dirty martini that was spectacular

Delicious tacos. Mushroom and bean taco on corn tortillas. Small and simple. Super cute ambiance here with friendly service. Prices ok. Dive bar vibes. Apparently this is the spot to hang if you're going to a show at Pappy & Harriet's next door. Full bar. Super fun and cool. Loads of parking. Take a walk in pioneer town too. The guacamole was absolutely legitimate and the tacos were great. On corn or flour. And fairly priced. Eat well and enjoy your meal. This is definitely a destination location that requires you to have a plan. Especially if you are drinking. It's on a windy mountain road with no service once you get there. Do it! Enjoy your life. I actually enjoyed my breakfast here more than at P&H. The chips and cookies were very good. The cookie was especially unique and delicious."

Absolutely loved this place! Everyone said when you're in Joshua Tree to check out Red Dog Saloon & I stumbled across this place. Tried the margaritas and they were pefect!!! We also got the tacos and chips. These were good but not worth the price. However, I feel like your paying for the experience so I was content with us. Super cool inside the bar and on the patio. It feels like you're in an old western film. Bartender was super friendly and service was fast. If in the area this place is a must see!!!

Churros: 3/5 I was really hoping that these would be good but they were really whatever. Kind of dense with a cardamom kick, I didn't really care for them. The chocolate sauce is not sweet, rather "sophisticated" but meh. Chips + Queso: 3/5 Thick chips, thick queso that tasted like Chipotle's, it was whatever to me. It sat in my stomach like a rock. Dazzling Dallas Manhattan: 5/5 Super strong, dessert vibes without the sweetness. I loved this drink. Really pushed the rating up to a 4 star! If you like your alcohol, highly recommend. Oaxacan Old Fashioned: 3.5/5 It was okay. I always forget that I don't really like mezcal and that's the main flavor. Strong smoke. It is balanced, so I would recommend it to someone who really enjoys that flavor. Ambiance: Western and fun! While I don't recommend kids, I did see some enjoying tacos and chilling with their families Service: It's a bar. Flagging someone down might be hard but everyone was generally pleasant. Parking: There's a lot of parking on dirt roads but if there is an event expect to drive around a couple of times. Some big trucks may make things tricky.

Three of us visited on a honky tonk Sunday night. Parking is easy lot parking. Music was good, employees were kind and let us know that they'd be with us when they were done taking other orders. Drinks are good, food is finger foods. We ordered the tator tots and a chips w salsa. It was okayyyyy. Plenty of seating, free wifi as reception is spotty. Toilets and hand wash basin in the bathroom are black which is sketchy. Could use a more thorough cleaning and a changing out to white color. The surrounding area is Pioneertown, from what I understand was an old movie set. A very fun vibe overall. Time seems to stop when you're there. Fun to experience Be careful of driving on the road at night, we were almost run off the road by overzealous and/or drunk locals.

I love that there's so many options for drinks, that there was many places to sit unlike pappys, and it was very clean. As a vegan, there aren't many options to eat in Joshua tree, but red dog delivered. I loved the Gordo taco, boyfriend and I LOVED the spicy pickles and tots! Pickles were amazing! Kurt was a friendly bartender and made conversation. We shall return!

Super kind people helping us pick our food options at the bar! I really enjoyed the ginger beer, I've never tasted a better one to date. The bar is nice and has indoor and outdoor seating, and overall matches the vibe of Pioneertown.

My partner and I stopped by on our way back to LA from Joshua Tree on a Wednesday afternoon and had a very nice experience! The servers were very kind and gave us great recommendations. The Tacos and Chicken Quesadilla were amazing!! We also had some fun playing N64 games on a console they had there. The saloon had a very welcoming vibe and a lot of history on the walls. Couldn't recommend this place enough!!!

Such a cool western saloon established in 1946 and still serving since way back then! They've got Tex-Mex dishes along with delicious desserts and high quality alcohol. Great staff and bartenders too. It is the spot while visiting Pioneertown. And the best part is that they let you go inside with your dogs!

Specialty Deville margarita not so special...
    Veronica H.

Very unique little bar in the heart of Pioneertown. We REALLY enjoyed their tacos, and I recommend two per person. Super fresh and delicious and affordable. Their specialty margarita, the Deville, at $23 was not worth the price. It was pretty small, the tequila tasted weird (and I like reposados), and there was no salt despite requesting it. Definitely enjoyed the Old Western ambiance however and everyone was friendly enough. Service was quick.

I swear I already made a review to this place because it was a pretty awesome place but I don't see my review here and it's asking me to make one. So from what I remember, we had our puppy with us and we weren't allowed to have her very many places, but this place allowed her to go in and they gave us a bowl of water. We had tacos. It was a very nice day and we would like to come back here. We stayed out of Airbnb in Joshua tree we probably will end up coming back. I love this little town and I wish it was closer to me here in Bakersfield.

The ribs were tender with a nice smoky flavor and came off the bone clean. The tri tip was just as solid, juicy and well seasoned with that classic barbecue taste. BUT it was definitely the biggest, most positive surprise when it came to expectations vs. actual quality! We landed in Palm Springs late in the evening and were starving on our way out to Joshua Tree. After a quick Yelp search for something open past 7-8pm, this spot popped up. We pulled into a super quiet parking lot and found this tiny little place. Looking at it from the outside, we honestly figured it would just be a quick, forgettable pitstop. Boy, were we wrong. For starters, the place was relatively full for a Tuesday evening! We ordered the duck confit nachos, the kimchi bulgogi sandwich, and the pony wings. Wow! Granted, our expectations were unfairly low walking in, but this turned out to be probably our second-best meal of the entire week--and we ate out every single day! It absolutely crushed it in terms of exceeding expectations. It also helped that we happened to be there on a Wednesday, so all the wines were half-priced! Unfortunately, since we weren't familiar with the area, we didn't know exactly how much further we had to drive to our accommodations, so we couldn't imbibe more in such a welcoming environment. (Missed opportunity, but safety first!) Oh, and definitely save room for dessert--their pie with ice cream of the day was delicious too! If you are passing through, do not sleep on this place. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area!

The young lady who served us was very sweet and understanding. We had a 2yrld with us and we requested extra pickles (cuz that's all that toddlers want).Eventually another staff member visited our table for some chit chat and had a laugh. We ordered 2 entrees and an app. Crispy chicken sandwich - the crispy coating slid off of the chicken thigh but still had some good flavor. The jalapeño ranch was expected to have somewhat of a kick but was more of a love tap. Imo, the crispy potato chips were a nice touch. Pretzel balls - excited for pretzels and cheese, the plate arrives at the table looking more like falafel than pretzels, they taseted burnt. The cheese they come with however, SPOT ON! My fiance had the Tiny Pony burger and stated the caramelized onions were top notch. Then she proceeded to scarf the burger down and say "it was alright"..... make it make sense. Overall, we will be visiting The Tiny Pony again in the future.

I ordered the espresso martini, which was a fun twist on the classic, and my sister got a mocktail that was similar to an Italian soda. Both arrived quickly and were delicious. To start, we shared the spinach artichoke dip and the goddess salad. I'll let the photos do most of the talking, but both dishes were packed with flavor and the portions were generous. For our entrees, we ordered the seared ahi with fries, a Pilot's Burger, and the Copper Room grilled steak with carrots and the side of sauteed green beans. Honestly, there wasn't a single thing on the table that disappointed. Everything was cooked well, tasted great, and our service was good from start to finish. The food was so filling that we didn't even save room for dessert. The only reason for the missing star was a policy--or decision--that made absolutely no sense to us. My 80-year-old mother asked if her hamburger could be cut in half, and we were told the chef would only do it for an additional charge. Considering the quality of the service and hospitality we experienced everywhere else, that felt surprisingly petty and unnecessary. Thankfully it was the only sour note of the evening, because the food, drinks, and service were otherwise outstanding.

I was one of the first patrons there for the evening and was immediately greeted by one of the women bartending for the night. I was introduced to the full bar, the well stocked fridge filled with beers, seltzers and wines and the specials for the weekend. As the night developed, more and more groups came in, ordered drinks and sat around the bar and tables with plenty of seating and tables available for everyone to hang out comfortably without being on top of one another. My only recommendation for this place when it does get busier, is that they have a designated ordering section at the bar where people can't sit so that those wanting to order or close their tabs can easily get to the bartender without having to awkwardly cut through people that are sitting there. Otherwise, this is a solid spot to hang out and have a couple casual drinks with a divey ambience and local feel.
