I love Tujunga. I really do. I love the laid back atmosphere, I love my neighbors, and I love love love how many amazing $ restaurants are here. Fresh with quality. Not to mention the variety from Thai to burgers to bakeries to hot wings to middle eastern and now, pizza. I tried a new thing. Spent more than I could have. Ordered delivery but I was told they don't take card payments over the phone. So I waited an hour (the paleo pizza crust is made fresh) and when the guy got here he tried to swipe my card into a cube. It wouldn't work so he asked to use my wifi and get my password for the wifi.? I had to call back to the company. Turns out they can take credit payments over the phone but ... They need you to sign it somehow? No refund, no "let us make it up to you". Nothing. Oh, but he did ask me to leave a yelp review. So here it is. The pizza I ordered came with few toppings (they skimped). My experience was less than great. The pizza was good though and to be fair they were nice over the phone. Had been looking for a local Paleo Pizza place, and was pretty happy to find this one. The Paleo crust is made out of almond meal and it has the texture of a firmer and chewier pie crust, just savory in taste - It tastes pretty good. I thought I would miss out on cheese, but that wasn't the case - the toppings were plentiful and flavorful. I did add a bit of hot sauce to the pizza, as the Jalapenos that came with the pizza were not enough, but that was my personal preference. I ordered "Luke's Pizza," which I will definitely order again. The restaurant itself is on non-nondescript strip mall across the street from a 76 gas station (only reason why I mention it is because it was a little tough to find). I first heard about this place when my coworker brought some to our staff meeting. She had brought a few of the margherita pizzas. The crust is thin, had light crunch, the sauce was not overwhelming and the cheese was fresh and tasted amazing. I love pizza so I tend to be a hard critic. This pizza was good! It was light and I could easily eat a few slices! I ordered again from them a few days later. I saw that they had a paleo pizza so I thought id give it a try. If you are not used to the alternative flours used in paleo diets I suggest you not get this because it really is an acquired taste. For me this pizza was awesome. It was healthy, lower calorie and still PIZZA, my favorite! The crust tastes different than a normal crust, it had a cookie like texture.. It broke easier than a normal crust and it was a little sweeter than normal. If you're looking for healthy this is honestly the best route id go for pizza! I am gluten intolerant and I gotta say, this was such a unique and tasty gluten free crust. Many pizza places source the same crust so they all kind of taste the same. Since this one is paleo, it stood on its own! A little nutty, soft kind of like a cookie inside, with a crunchy bottom. I got the pepperoni with garlic powder. I really, really liked it a LOT. Even good cold the next day! My fiancé got the Margherita and said it lacked some flavor, his dad got the Island Pizza and loved it. What looked to be a son and father mounting a table against the front of the restaurant and a friendly woman (wife, I assume) who took our order. They were all kind and service was quick. We ordered a Persian Pizza, a Veggie Pizza, and a custom pizza. It was promised within 20 minutes, and 20 minutes later we pulled back in, and here comes the gentleman bringing our pizza out to the car! Talk about wonderful service! The pizza however, was AWESOME. Concept reminded me of "Pieology", but it is SO MUCH BETTER. Good ingredients, not greasy, and cooked to perfection. Probably the best pizza spots in Tujunga. The pizzas are delicious, full of flavor. Prices are a bit higher than Dominos down the street, but I would rather spend money at a mom and pop style pizzeria (good quality and tastes good) than the regular chain pizza places. The only one complaint I have is, they can be a little stingy. Sometimes they don't put enough toppings or sauce. You have to ask and you can tell they don't appreciate that. I always ask for jalapeños and they put one for an entire pizza. One time I asked for extra and she charged me 0.50 cents extra. That's the small stuff I don't appreciate it, but try and ignore it.
