I think the only complaints I had about this place is that it gets super overcrowded since they cut rooftop access ag 1am, and then of course you have the usual, some people just don't know how to act. My experience was not the most amazing experience in the world, but, I still had a great time, and I would come here again with a group of friends or my partner when he is 21. The drinks were a bit more on the expensive side, but I enjoyed that a waitress would come to the rooftop to take drink orders, rather than having some of us wait in a long line! Definitely worth it. I think the club itself looked super aethetic, just was not the best scene for me, as I get claustrophobic. It was super fun to dance here though! And security was very helpful. read more

The service really sucked--I asked for a regular Long Island and the bartender told me it was "not their policy" to serve those particular drinks--I was dumbfounded. So instead I changed my order to a double well gin and tonic which, guess what, cost 19 dollars!!! This location can be so peaceful in the day, but transforms into a bubbly, vibrant atmosphere in the nights. Stopped by to get a couple of my favorite things on the menu, but they had already rotated the selection. The menu is classic, standard bar food nothing too exciting. But the drinks are pretty good. My favorite currently is Del Prete's Mojito -- a twist on a traditional mojito with rum and red wine. A solid upgrade from what it used to be! The rebrand to Jackie's is like the bar version of what the kids are calling a glow up. Went on a friday night and expected to wait a little bit but it wasn't busy at all. Parking is still an issue: street parking that can bring you several blocks away on a busy night. We showed our vaccination cards and was seated immediately. Despite the rainy weather, we decided to sit outside under the heaters because it was cute. Someone in the reviews described this place as "Palm Springs" vibes and that is totally it. We ideally wanted to be in front of the fireplace but we got there a little too late. Our seats were fine and the heaters kept us warm all night (even a little too warm, had to de-layer twice). We ordered a pitcher of their aguafresca margarita that says it has five servings of drinks but for the price of four: we love a good deal (and the aesthetic of a pitcher). Then we also ordered the popcorn chicken, fries, and the hush puppies. Popcorn chicken: Not the small sized popcorn chicken I was expecting. The chicken came out in large pieces served on a metal serving tray. The chicken was tossed in an orange-soy glaze but the chicken stayed crunchy (thanks, second fry). The japanese spice (i'm guessing togarashi or something similar) was faint so my spice-sensitive girlfriend could enjoy the dish as well. The fries were delicious! They were steak fries and seasoned with salt and vinegar powder that was not overpowering in the sour aspect. I would have appreciated a little sweeter dipping sauce than the standard ketchup it was served with (maybe Portland Ketchup Company?) to help balance the overall flavor of everything. All in all: I would order these again. The hush puppies were decent-- while moist and easy to eat with the hot honey and ranch, the basil was lost slightly and the goat cheese was lost almost entirely. Good place for a hangout! Cool place for a summer social. Portland needs more places like this. The upstairs rooftop patio is nice, it's also covered and heated so can be enjoyed even during Portland's wet days. Came on my birthday. I lost my friends inside while going outside by the entrance to catch air and was feeling sick and didn't have my phone. Tried asking the security if I could reenter to reunite with my friends. They refused and I was persistent. Security(tall bald guy) was super rude with uncalled comments towards me and so disrespectful. So i waited outside for my friends. During this , i Saw the security treat other ladies so disrespectful. Laughing at girls throwing up and making ugly comments. There is no respect towards girls there at that place. Let me start off by saying, negative reviews aren't something I write for fun or often. I know businesses can have off days although I decided to visit Jackie's to see what the hype was all about. Initially there was a line, then when it came time to go in I was hardly greeted with a rude security guard. He checked my bag and literally threw my seltzer water away without telling me it was prohibited. It would have been nice to atleast be told with a warning but no. He reached in my bag, matter of fact, GLAD to see an object he could throw away and tossed it straight above me into the bushes. i asked why he did that and he said it's not allowed (after the fact) I felt disrespected and unwelcomed as that was my first point of contact at this location. Had I knew that was even IN my bag I would have left it in my car. Regardless, as i entered the ambiance and music was nice it just left a terrible taste in my mouth, that was my first encounter with this place. I watched the guard a few times to see if maybe it was just me. To give him the benefit of the doubt. That maybe he just didn't particularly like me, but he continued to have a demeanor to him that he didn't want to be there or serve anyone with an ounce of respect or that they were bothering HIM as he was bouncing. I used to come here all the time when the space was Century and I was very excited to see how Jackie's would utilize the cool space! First off, they did an amazing job making this bar very trendy and aesthetically pleasing. If you want cute pics for your instagram, come here! Second, the vibes are a bit different from what it used to be. Instead of having a dance floor running through the bottom, everyone is sitting at a table or up in the stadium seating. I'm not sure if this is because of COVID or it's what the owners are envisioning but it got pretty difficult to find a place to sit after around 8pm. Lastly, the drinks were super fun and delicious and we didn't have any food but it looked absolutely AMAZING and I can't wait to try it out. I'd definitely say that this is a cool place to start out the night and get a few drinks and food! The lines get super long and I'd suggest closing out your tab after every drink. The line was around 20 ppl deep by the time we were about to leave and we were happy to wait in the line but a lot of bars let you close out without waiting so we decided to ask one of the bartenders if we could do that and he was definitely snarky and gave us an attitude. read more

I will never come here again! I feel like I was racially profiled. I came to watch the game 6 between nuggets and the wolves and I ate nachos and had a beer! Well that combination messed my stomach up bad. I went to the bathroom 3x because my guts were bubbling. On that 3rd time after using the bathroom whoever was in charge had the security waiting in the bathroom outside the stall to ask me was ok aka wondering why I went to the bathroom so many times. I didn't know it was a crime to use a public bathroom at a bar where you're spending money and they serve food and drinks that might cause one to use the bathroom! Would give them 3 out of 5. The portion was small. There was an equal amount of banana peppers and fried onions which made it look like there was a lot more calamari than it really was. - Would recommended ordering it with sauce on the side because it made them soggy. Terrible staff.... My gf and I met up with a few co-workers on a busy night, had a couple of drinks and were about to order some food when we over heard the door guy arguing with a customer. I didn't realize what they were arguing about, but the bouncer eventually just told this chick that "all the employees were professional MMA fighters and all he had to do was snap his fingers and the 2 guys in her group were dead, so get them the f- out of his bar." Woah... my gf got super uncomfortable about the whole situation so our whole group left. Otherwise the bar is really pretty, lots of plants, greenery, ect. STAY AWAY LADIES!!! Went here last week with a group of friends and someone for sure slipped something into my drink. After having one drink i completely blacked out, projectile vomited and had the shakes and was escorted home by friends. Don't bother trying to get in on your 21st birthday, because they claim there's an Oregon law where you have to be 21 for 24 hours-- which is BS because it was 10pm and the birthday girl had been bar hopping with her friends for several hours by that point with zero issues. The one we went to after she was turned away from Jackie's even scanned our IDs and the bouncer (along with all others prior) wished her a happy birthday. The OLCC doesn't say anything about having to be 21 for 24 hours. All signs in bars and restaurants say "if you were born AFTER todays date in 2002 we will not serve you alcohol." However, I will give them credit for the added safety measure of bag checks and pat downs. read more
