Closing shift is extremely rude , and can't take orders correctly. Extremely unprofessional and would not recommend this location

The place was a mess, the bathrooms are dirty. But the main yelp is the cockroaches crawling over the drink tops and drink bar area.

Going to jacks is a highlight of any trip i take to Alabama, and this location maintains the reputation for amazing service and great food that I've come to expect from jacks. I had a slightly longer than wait time (nothing crazy though) and the manager came out and personally apologized to me and gave me a voucher for a free meal at my next visit-just one example of the great folks working here. We placed an online order for the big breakfast sandwiches and neither of our sandwiches were toasted. Very confused because it was our first time trying jacks and we were excited about the Texas toast. It was just normal soft white bread. If that's the case why are the pictures toasted? We also got hash browns and my boyfriends was supposed to be large while mine was regular. They gave us two regular sizes and we were on a road trip so didn't realize till after we started driving when I was taking out the food. Disappointing. read more

My family is new to the South from Southern Commifornia. We've enjoyed the biscuits here a few times, and I may continue occasionally. (They are delicious) But needing employment I thought to apply here locally. During my interview I was told by the assistant manager Megan that because I'm unavailable Sundays (because I attend and am active in church each week with my family,) that I wouldn't be offered a position, and that "other associates have been prevented from attending church regularly because of the management." This sounds and feels very much like discrimination does it not? Being in the "Bible Belt", this is sad. Especially when CEO Todd Bartmess is a professing Christian himself. Just thought I'd give my two cents worth. Doesn't really seem like I would've been a great fit for the team being that I don't like oppressors. This isn't the 4 star receiving atmosphere I thought it was, I was expecting at least an opportunity. Nice to know who's who though in this town, don't want to get caught up being all unequally yoked and stuff. Have a great day. read more

I am going to start with saying that this restaurant was DIRTY. They did not clean up well where the guests sit and there were flies everywhere. I understand we visited it the middle of the summer, it was hot and busy but their staff really needs to keep up with cleaning. The bathroom was also DISGUSTING. I had to pee very badly while on our roadtrip from Texas and it just was not possible to use their restrooms. I had to run into the McDonalds across the street because Jack's bathroom was unbearable. The reason I am rating this review so high is due to the food actually being AWESOME and fresh for being so darn cheap. We got the food to go and ate in the car due to the interior situation. I had just a simple bacon cheeseburger and my husband got a chicken sandwich with the crinkle fries. Those fries were SO GOOD. I think we spent $10. We would like to try another Jacks in the future to compare and see if the quality is as good, but we don't have any near us at this time. From what we could see, there is a reason this place is so busy, its pretty good and a great price point. read more

By far the slowest fast food location that I have ever been to. Not to mention the most unfriendly too.

Don't let the fact that this is a big fast food chain fool you! These people (specifically speaking of the weekday AM staff but I've never had a bad experience here, no matter the time) treat you like you've walked into a little Mom and Pop cafe where they know your name, your order, where you sit, and when you'll be back. They're super affordable and this is often a pre-school treat for my girls and myself. This most recent time, I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I wanted my usual vanilla iced coffee (runs on the sweet side but it's delicious!) But I was so impressed with the fact that the cashier knew what I wanted almost before I knew, that I went ahead and ordered it!! This location is always clean and though I usually only come in the mornings (and thus can really only speak to the morning staff) I think it's fair to say this is the best Jack's-- but maybe I'm biased. read more

I OVER love Jack's! Awhile back my order had gotten messed up and unfortunately I didn't check it prior to leaving the window because I never really have to. It was nothing major but enough for me to inform them about it. Well they offered to replace it, of course, because that's just how dedicated they are to customer satisfaction. When I went back to get the replacement order a few days later, the manager not only replaced MINE, but also gave my two young children a happy meal each just for my "trouble". She was AWESOME! And not just because of the free happy meals. She made sure she had everything correct with my order, apologized about it, didn't make me feel like I was committing a crime by having it replaced, just all around a very nice woman. This Jack's is just amazing. Staff are always friendly, food is always good and fresh. They rarely mess orders up but the one time they did mess mine up and I went back to get it corrected. The Manager came out and apologized, corrected my order AND refunded my money. Now that is customer service. I never expected that level of service. Just outstanding. Love eating here, their fries are so good and I love their breakfast. Heck, everything is awesome! read more
