Place has great ambiance. my boyfriend was born in Bremen so we enjoyed all the old pictures along the walls. The service was great. Julia was very attentive. We ordered a pizza and a small Greek salad. Both were delicious and offered plenty! I ordered a dirty martini but when it came, they did not have any olives and had ice chips in the martini which should've been strained out. The server was happy to change it out and the bartender mixed a Jameson whiskey and honey for me instead. There's a ton of room for improvement. First of all it took about 20-30 minutes for us to get dinner after appetizers, and they weren't that busy. Thinking our server waited too long to put it in or just forgot. I'm not sure there's a single adult in the entire building. I'm not even sure if the bartender could drink, he didn't look a day over 15. Maybe I missed it but I ordered a Philly wrap did not see mushrooms in the description came filled with mushrooms, it was soggy, the cheese over powered the under seasoned meat. Our server was not very attentive either. I feel like management should've done a table touch but i really didn't see anyone who was a manager the whole time on a Friday night. Kinda wild. I want to love this place but we just cannot get a consistent meal here. The last few burgers I've had were flavorless and overcooked to point of being hockey pucks (ordered medium). Fried appetizers clearly under fried. Waitstaff has improved a lot and usually happy with service, though host station is not great and would be better staffed by ppl not afraid to make eye contact, speak up, and not eat at the host station. Hours are wrong. Arrived on Friday at 12:50 and doors were locked. No holiday. I am not sure why they were closed.

My husband and I went in on a Saturday around 2:00 and sat at the bar. Kristin was the bartender and did an amazing job. We shared the buffalo dip appetizer and a pepperoni/jalapeno pizza and they were both delicious! Will definitely be back! read more

We came to The Grill Downtown and only had a minimal wait. We came at the peak of dinner on a Thursday night. I really like the atmosphere inside. There is a bar to sit at if you prefer. I love a place that makes their own ranch. The appetizers were delicious. The pimento cheese dip and okra were very tasty. My husband got the Salmon and I got the shrimp and grits. I thought the shrimp and grits were a little salty but it could be the fact it was made with bacon gravy. Service was great and we want to go back and try other items on the menu. There are bar bites with wings and then there are items that involve steaks, salmon, and pasta. So an update from the previous post: I made a reservation for my father-in-law's birthday. Service and food were just as good as the first time! I tried the fried grouper and my husband got the bone in pork chop. Both were so satisfying! Decided on the bone-in pork chop with fried corn and steamed broccoli. Not sure I have room for dessert but may order it anyway to take back to my hotel. read more

They only get 1 star because zero is not an option! Ordered an appetizer and a burger to split with my sister. Another party arrived, ordered their food and received their app right away! I asked the bartender why they got theirs so quickly and I didn't and she replied, you didn't tell me it was an app!!!!! WTF!!! Worst experience that I've ever had at a restaurant. Was seated and sat there for at least 30 to 45 waiting on our drinks because the bar tender was blowing kisses at the owner instead of making drinks. Then waited forever for our food for it to come out cold and dried out. Then the manager came to speak to us and told us that "she didn't care if we came back or not" her words!! That the bar tender was her best friend and roommate and she was gonna defend her no matter what. And we were only expressing our concerns about her not doing her job and blowing kisses at the owner instead. Then the manager walks up to the owner and tells him and he laughed. It's a piss poor running business. This isn't the first time that I have had a bad experience at this same restaurant but wanted to give them a second chance. Never again. And not to mention that the owner just sits at the bar and constantly drinks. and one more thing, they were out of half of the food that was on the menu. read more

I want to give this place more but they definitely have to work on some thangs. First and foremost the hostess we have seen every single time we come is rude and unprofessional. I get it she's young but when you walk in and she finishes her text and then looks up at you without a expression and simple says "how many?" Is a little off putting. Ignored that and got sat. Waitresses are attentive (from what we have had) and never messed up a order or forgot anything. They get 5 stars! Food is half good half mediocre. Ordered a smash burger our first visit. Wasn't what you would typically consider a smash burger. Disappointing but decent none the less. Prices aren't too bad. One of the better options for a nice dinner in the area. read more
