Wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. Regular breakfast spot that didn't "wow" my partner and I. I visited around 9am on a Sunday and there was no wait for a party of 3. Plenty of parking as well. The gravy for our chicken fried steak and eggs were extremely salty. The muffin was dry and hard. The lady that greeted us and sat us must've woke up on the wrong side of bed. But again, not a terrible spot. Overall, good try.

Charming little mom & pop restaurant. Their smoked meats caught my husband's attention and we decided to grab a quick bite. Staff was very nice, quick service, and clean restaurant. Their food is good. Your run of the mill kind of diner food. Big portions for a decent price which was nice. Loved their thick cut steak fries.

I just figured out about prime rib Friday nights. What a deal and a delicious meal for $30!

"Senior Menu" Meatloaf . Also included choice of soup or salad.

Food: 4.25. Came back for their Chicken Fried Biscuit-Wich. Such a great breakfast item. Homemade biscuit with sandwich sized chicken fried steak, crisp bacon, cheese, country gravy, and optional egg. Food came out timely and at right temperature. Next time I will ask for a little more gravy. If not enough gravy, sandwich can be dry because of the biscuit. A side of gravy is $3. Potatoes were good but oily.

There's an answer as to why there always seems to be a wait at Jack's in Old Orcutt. And the answer is that the food is really good, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Kate, Richard, and I made our way to Jack's in Old Orcutt for breakfast (late) just last Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed my BLT with no B as I'm a vegetarian (I wish they had more vegetarian options other than eggs dishes as I don't eat eggs), but with A as in avocado. Richard seemed to enjoy his American breakfast, while all three of us delighted in the order of French toast he put in at the last moment. Kate was impressed with her egg whites and fruit. The free candy in the little bucket at the exit is very special. One more note: the potato salad was muy bueno. Tell me Jack's in Old Orcutt...is it made on the premises?

This place is an old school diner that has been here for a very, very long time. It has changed owners, but it is still just as good as always. Wonderful place for comfort food. They serve biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, waffles, blah blah blah. I have never been here for lunch or dinner, but I am A breakfast regular. It's at the corner of Union and South Broadway. Plenty of free parking on both sides of the street.

This place is still going strong. You cannot beat the portion size for their prices anywhere. We go almost daily there.

Have come here off and on for past year with my wife, it is one of our favorite spots when we want a quiet evening. The place has changed a bit since my first visit in 2003 when Jack's was known for their humongous-sized burgers, but the food continues to be delicious. I've had various breakfast menu options the last three times, but this time I wanted to try the chicken melt. It was very very good. Probably my favorite thing there so far. Onion rings were good, and for a side there was an abundance of them! Didn't get the waitress's name, but she was helpful and provided good service.

Found this place on yelp and really enjoyed their food. Nothing fancy, but the flavors reminded me of something I'd eat at grandmas house.

Great diner for breakfast. Nothing to do in Borecutt so this place is packed on weekend mornings. Pooh bear approved.

Sunday mornings are meant to be leisurely but this time we were in a rush. We had actually slept in until 7am, normally up by 5am without alarms. The hubs event started at 9am so we made the quick drive for a to go order, calling two blocks from the restaurant after glancing at the menu. We both decided the first item on the menu we would try; Orcut Hash, did sourdough toast and homemade biscuit We had just a couple minutes to sit and order iced tea to go. Before the server could get us our iced teas our food was ready. It's super cute inside...can't wait to come back and enjoy the sit down restaurant. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Large alcoholic choice of drinks... really wanted that spicy Mary but since we were in a rush stuck with iced tea. The only 1 minute drive back to the gun range in Santa Maria was grueling smelling that gravy... We were both were thrilled at the large portions. It was amazing! I love gravy and could have used a little bit more but honestly I think it was fine for a normal person plus remember we go to go order so I suspect it soaked up a little on the drive. The staff threw in pepper and Tapatio which the hubs loves. I had Yellow Bird Blue Agave Sriracha in my travel trailer and used a little on it. OMG! It was so good! The potatoes had a nice crunch on them. That gravy was amazing. The biscuit was great, had a bite and saved the rest for later. The hubs managed to eat his whole plate and was stuffed! I might have eaten 1/4 of mine saving it for later. We will for sure be back!

Yesterday, we ordered the steak and eggs and Danie's eggs Benny with trip tip. The steaks were cooked and seasoned very well! Today, we ordered the chicken and waffles and the Orcutt hash - wow! The waffles had such a fluffy center with the lightest crunch on the outside. The bits of pork belly and gravy meshed so well in the Orcutt hash. Our servers were so nice and made it a great experience. Definitely a staple breakfast spot!

We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. This is Grade A customer service and a reason why I'd return to Blast 825 Brewery, so shoutout to Jess! We all appreciate you.

While I had high hopes for a good meal, the experience was significantly marred by several issues: Poor Service: We were largely ignored, with staff failing to address requests. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed, leading to incredibly long wait times for service. It took 25 minutes to be asked what we were drinking, and another 20 minutes for two beers to arrive Food Quality Issues: The food served was of low quality, specifically corn rib appetizer were ice cold , the tri-tip was very over cooked and was difficult to chew. My wife ordered the orcutt hill salad entree. The salad was missing two ingredients. Prosciutto and candied pecans. When asked about it the waitress said I will bring you some. She brought a cup of smoked ham, not prosciutto. She indicated that the kitchen was out of candied pecans. Don't you think that should be disclosed to the customer before ordering ? The salad was small, not an entree size. When we asked about seeing a manager, we got a bill with a neighborhood 15% reduction. When asked about that, I was told, that's all the manager is willing to do. Really ? I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. Sincerely, A Disappointed Customer
