This was my 3rd time coming to Blast 825 Brewery and this time was the best. Tonight me and wifey went on a double date with some good friends and chose this spot specifically for the beer, food and of course the Dodger game that was on tonight. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. Management, I am writing to express my frustration regarding my recent visit to your establishment. I will add that we have been frequent customers since day one. While I had high hopes for a good meal, the experience was significantly marred by several issues: Poor Service: We were largely ignored, with staff failing to address requests. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed, leading to incredibly long wait times for service. It took 25 minutes to be asked what we were drinking, and another 20 minutes for two beers to arrive Food Quality Issues: The food served was of low quality, specifically corn rib appetizer were ice cold , the tri-tip was very over cooked and was difficult to chew. My wife ordered the orcutt hill salad entree. The salad was missing two ingredients. Prosciutto and candied pecans. When asked about it the waitress said I will bring you some. She brought a cup of smoked ham, not prosciutto. She indicated that the kitchen was out of candied pecans. Don't you think that should be disclosed to the customer before ordering ? The salad was small, not an entree size. When we asked about seeing a manager, we got a bill with a neighborhood 15% reduction. When asked about that, I was told, that's all the manager is willing to do. Really ? I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future guests. I didn't recall the bacon but it was a great touch. They had plenty of seating inside and in the patio area. They had the soccer game playing with no audio. Came to a Blast 825 for some dinner and the food was good. Wasn't the absolute best, but it's your typical American foods that are good to pair with some drinks. The service was great though. There was some live music and our server was very nice. She was attentive and made sure our drinks were always filled. Went here July 7th in the evening. Service really was subpar. Food was ok, I have had better on other visits. The server was inattentive so I asked someone else for an iced tea refill which they brought with not a single ice cube in it. I feel they really don't give good service unless you are having alcohol. There really was no excuse for the bad service as they were not even busy. read more

On a roadtrip to Santa Maria, stopped for lunch at Blast 825 Brewery. The food was the highlight of this review. Everything ordered was tasty and hot and portioned well. Our waiter: Keira I believe was her name was beyond friendly and hospitable. My family and I had a wonderful early dinner at Blast! The food arrived at our table fresh and delicious, and the lively atmosphere was a huge hit, especially with my toddler, who absolutely loved the music. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff didn't skip a beat. We felt completely tended to and cared for the entire evening. Blast is a great place to get food and drinks later in the evening since most places in Old Town Orcutt close up around 9 pm. They have a real liquor license which is also hard to come by in town. The burgers, wings, and nachos are all excellent... frequent flyers in my world, both in person and via DoorDash or Uber Eats. Service is usually good. Sometimes other patrons can get a little out of hand/loud but I suppose that can happen anywhere. It's a pretty lively place when the live music is going on our back. My wife and I stopped in with her brother while we're visiting the Lopo area. Must say this place was a very pleasant surprise! Our tri-tip salvage and spectacular! The smoked Manhattan pie had was unbelievable! Wife decided on a salad and called her brother had their beef dip sandwich. There were no complaints, only people enjoying their food! Been wanting to try this place for a while and I was happy to finally go. This place was popping on a Saturday night. Expect a wait if you are going for dinner. The wait was like 25 minutes but we grabbed a beer from a local brewery. Service was good despite her having big party tables holding her hostage. Beers were a little slow coming out. I ended getting the serve yourself beer which to me is a great value. Beer selection was solid. Food was solid. Bar food but a little bit more fresh made then most bar food. Food came out timely and at the right temperature but I was disappointed because it looked like a half sandwich (see pic). They should note such on their promo piece. Still, the $12 price is not bad. Walked in here after a loooooooong day of softball with an entire team and families. It was a little bit of a last-minute decision to decide to go out as a team and I suggested this place cause I knew they had large seeing areas so even though we were gonna show up without a reservation they could hopefully accommodate our large 30+ group. The hostess was a little taken it back when I first asked about the possibility because apparently they also had another large party who had reserved their outside patio but after a few minutes the manager came over and said they could put some tables together in their large back room and make it work for us. We had a kids table with 11 girls and then an adults table with like 20+ adults and siblings. Our waitress Kailee was phenomenal! She took every families order and separated it by players name so she was able to manage the separate checks! Drinks and food came out a little slow and in groups and it's true we did have to wait a bit to get waters for our table, but that should totally be expected when you drop 30+ people into service all at once. Thankfully, my family was the one to get our food last and I was very understanding of the situation. Well, I can't speak for 30 of the other people who were there my tri-tip sandwich and fries were hot and delicious. I'd probably try and give them a heads up that I was coming there in a few minutes so they could've tried to set it up and maybe things would've moved slightly smoother, but I wouldn't hesitate to go there again with a large group (or just with my own family). read more

The server forgot the lemon and noticed it once he got to the table and quickly said I'll run and go grab that for you but when he came back the lemon was in his hand and he slid it on to my drink. I hope his hands were clean..? The lemon he placed on my cup didn't look fresh and was mostly seeds. I love this place. The food is great. There are beverages for everybody in your party, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic. The ambience is always fun and festive, especially during the holiday season. All of the employees there everyone from the host/hostess to the fabulous people who bust the tables are always so friendly and welcoming. A staff member saw our order ticket and noticed someone in my party had ordered a specific sandwich. When he noticed that he came over and offered to give this person to my party, some Ajou that he thought paired perfectly with the sandwich. Free of charge didn't come with the sandwich, but it was one of his favorites and he wanted to share that with the person in my party. The employees are so wonderful and they really do treat you like you are local/someone who comes in all the time, even if you aren't. I'm late getting around to this review, but we went about a month ago and truly enjoyed it. It was our first time. We called a few days ahead for a reservation for a big group and they were very accommodating and right on time when we showed up. Our server Alyssa was great and very attentive. We did have an issue with our food being dry but the manager resolved that with the kitchen in the nicest and easiest way. That's the only reason I give it 4 stars. Their drinks were very tasty. The manager gave us dessert on the house for our issue with the food (which we greatly appreciated) and I will say the bread pudding is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Best thing I've ever had. Wish I had noticed what I think was seltzers on tap on the way out, I definitely would've taken advantage of that. Anyways, will definitely be returning when we're in the area again. Was out here for work and had dinner with my coworkers here. One of my coworkers is a local and recommended the carnitas bowl so I went with that. I don't really see or order carnitas bowls back home so I had no expectations when I ordered this. I tried it and it was delicious! I wish I went back and got another one before I left, but there's so many great eateries in the area I had to give those a try. I would come back again for the carnitas bowl because the carnitas were tender and tasty and the rice they used was not regular white rice, I believe it was brown rice, but it was super light, fluffy and savory. It was more than enough for one person, I was full and there was still about 1/4th of the bowl left. We also tried the bread pudding for dessert and it was unbelievably good. FIrst off, the bread part is not super thick at all, it's a thin piece of toasted bread and I thought it wouldn't taste as good, but it actually tasted better than regular bread pudding. I kept staring at it and wondering how they were able to pack the flavor of a proper bread pudding in one thin piece of toasted bread. Everything came out fast and tasted great. They serve Pepsi products here which was also a plus since I'm mostly a Pepsi person. Definitely would come back to try more (the cowboy burger looks so good). read more

This was a lot of food!! The fries were PLENTY! I ordered the fish and coleslaw, it was good, but the fish wasn't my fav. The burger was delicious (they said)! The onion rings were really good!! The service was very attentive and they checked on us often and very polite! The restaurant had an exterior patio, but it was "walled in" to protect you from the Central Coast breeze.
