Atmosphere is great and service was good. However, when your name has "Steakhouse" in the title and you are charging 4-5 star prices, #1 you need to have a grill master that knows how to grill steak to order. #2 (Even though this is Mexico), you need to source decent steak (at least Choice equivalent) if you are charging these prices. I've never in my life sent a steak back until this experience. Asked for medium rare for an 8oz filet which is pretty standard. I watched from the patio as the grill master cooked them and knew as soon as he walked away from the grill at the 2 minute mark, the steaks were in trouble. When he returned at minute 4 to flip, I knew this was not going to be good. Anyway, I'm tired of typing. Beware order extra rare if you want your filet done right. You can always send it back for more grilling. read more

Had a fantastic time, celebrating my birthday here. We had several wonderful servers Jesus, Diana, Manuel and Fernando. We devoured the ribeye which was perfectly prepared by the grill master chef. Food was not good, daughter had a quesadilla and the cheese tasted expired. Wife had tortilla soup, was not good, I tried it and agreed. I had New York steak and it was tough, side of mashed potatoes that were laughable because the serving size was two bites. Ordered four bottles of water for me and family. Didn't think twice about it when they brought a big bottle and filled our glasses. We were biked $30.00 dollars because they brought mineral water. $10.00 a bottle and we had 3. Some are complaining about the pricing, which is is written on the menu, if your cheap ass can't afford it, bring a sandwich next time you come to cabo. Juicy steaks, great espresso martini and friendly service. The melted cheese appetizer was delicious and I like that it was served in a cast iron pan, so we were able eat all the melted and toasted cheese! The football game was on and did not interrupt diners who were not interested in watching. The grill master was out front and I got to watch him at work, turning out dish after dish of all the different cuts of meat that was offered. I wish there were more wines offered by the glass. I'm from California and have been to the wineries on the list from California. Local wines would have peaked my curiosity. It's a Great location, connected to Fiesta Marina being one of their all inclusive restaurants. (However, most of their steaks require an up-charge) we didn't do the all inclusive with Marina Fiesta for this reason. We unfortunately were very disappointed in our steak and manager Javier. We went there to specifically get a good steak and ordered the Filet Mignon. Our waiter however upsold us on the special for $100, which included a 14oz Ribeye steak, shrimp and octopus. Presentation looked great until I cut the ribeye in half and thought, WTH, this is the finest Ribeye I've seen at a restaurant. The shrimp and octopus were good however our ribeye steak was thin, tough and obviously not a 14oz portion. This looked nothing like others that were on the grill out front and we asked to speak to the Manager. Javier however did absolutely nothing to fix what was not right. Another large group next to us were also dissatisfied with their order and we overheard the manager again doing nothing to make it right. Towards the end of our meal it was obvious they wanted us to move on so we ordered another round of beers. After we ordered a third round of beers, our waiter threw the credit card reader down on a service tray behind us in disgust. Maybe they got the point? read more

I gave it 5 because of the experience and the quality of the steak. My girl had shrimp and she said it was excellent. My steak was pretty good. Done right and seasoned well. I'd rate this a top 12 porterhouse out of 15. I was focused on the steak and not the sides. My main complaint is the lack of a good sharp knife to cut through this monster of a steak. The steak had some nice marbling and a nice amount of meat to fat. Mine had some grizzle. The sides (baked potato, corn on the cob, and grilled veggies) were really good! It's obviously a dinner for 2 but at 6'3" and 225 a 2lb 2"+ isn't a rarity for me. It's a very nice experience. The downfall is the dull knife. When you have a decent steak, but can't cut it like intended it takes away from it. But it was seasoned exceptionally well. I did use A1 because a drop does enhance the flavor of the meat. read more

We went to Jack's Steak House because it was part of our hotel's all inclusive package and it did not disappoint. Out of all of the places we ate with the inclusive, it was one of my favorites. Located centrally in the Golden Zone marina, it has beautiful views of the harbor, hills and sunset. We made a reservation and were seated on the patio. They had live music which added to the fun vibes and decor. Great place for steak and wine, but the shrimp was by far the show stopper in my perspective, although I'm not a huge red meat fan. My husband loved his ribeye. Service was good but we had a table of six and they forgot one order of ribeye so one friend had to wait while they added that. They don't specifically have a kids menu, but if you ask they have a chicken tenders and another item. We loved the dessert too, especially the sorbets. Good place to eat and and not too many vendors or tourists depending on the time you go. read more

Expecting a tourist trap on the waterfront I hedged myself bet abs got all you can eat buffet advertised outside. Menu is made for Americans with stuff like ceaser salad, fried shrimp and cheese quesadilla. Wife got the cerviche excluded from the buffet abs that was actually quite good with little pineapple sweetness to offset the sharp acidic lime used. 4 stars Bucket of shrimp was a tiny bucket but had 21-30 count juicy shrimp with fries 4 stars. Everything else like ceaser salad, beef soup, shrimp bisque was very passable 2 stars. Lunch they don't BBQ outside so that was a real bummer as well. read more

Pros, it's located on the marina, servers were friendly and the service was fast, and the espresso martini was pretty good. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. As an FYI, if you sit too close to the waterfront, peddlers will bother you to buy products, tours, etc. Cons, the food was terrible and expensive. Over $10 USD for tortilla soup, with no meat/protein and it was so bland. Their signature margarita was $615 pesos (roughly $35 USD). I ordered tempura avocado tacos that were advertised as coming with mixed salad, Mexican sauce and tematada sauce. None of those items were present. It was flour tortillas, cheese and fried avocado. Similar to the soup, they were bland. I'm giving them one star for their staff and the martini. I would not return. There are too many other, much better options on the marina. Also wanted to add, the prices on the receipt were higher than what was on their advertised menu. read more

My husband and I decided to venture out into town today! We had a wonderful evening at Jack's. Not only were the employees beyond friendly, but the food was delicious. Our waiter Jesus was helpful and very attentive! From the appetizers to the desserts, everything exceeded our expectations. The steak was so tender it melted in your mouth. You can easily tell the ice cream was homemade. I wish we had tried them earlier so we could come back for dinner. Consider sitting inside or at one of the tables farthest from the boardwalk. I just loved all the pirates movie although I can't stand Johnny Depp radical views but seeing all the peg legged pirates statues put a smile on my face so I decided to get in. Sadly it was booked solid thru next month so I had to stay at the Bahia, come back to read my review on the Bahia, I don't understand all the high ratings, mine will be the most accurate n I don't ever want any Yelper to get ripped off again. There was no other steak house that I could see, I had just had lunch at La Lupita but I'm here to eat!! So we shared a rib eye 350 gram not cheap at 730 pesos about $37 then another $4 for the potato , I'm not a starch eater but this potato was cooked over charcoal it was so flavorful, everything was cooked on real charcoal not the Mickey Mouse briquettes or gas n calling that BBQ! it was mouth watering . The beef should be cooked medium well, I started w medium n it was not dead! Lol I had to send it back n medium well was perfect. It was so hot outside n the pina colada was just so delicious it definitely hit the spot! This is a solid 5 stars restaurant n I can't wait to stay at the Marina Fiesta so I can eat here everyday. After years and years I've still never had a bad meal at Jack's. Sure, it doesn't hurt that it's included in the dining package from my hotel but even if I was a "paying" customer, I think I'd be quite satisfied eating here. Here's my gripe about steak in Mexico... it's almost always overcooked. Finding a perfect medium rare is exactly that, rare. My wife (Mexico born and raised) will suggest it's because red meat usually just gets treated as carne asada and I seem to agree. Jack's though, Jack's gets it right! I actually think that Jack's is overly cautious when it comes to overcooking the meat because during my last visit I had to have the staff throw my NY on for an extra minute or so. The end result: delicious. I was also a big fan of both the Caesar salad and the tortilla soup and it doesn't hurt that the red wine flows freely. We stayed at the HE resorts (el encanto) and got the all inclusive package. This restaurant was part of the all inclusive package and is located at the marina beside the marina sister resort. This was the only restaurant we got to try at the marina and we were so glad we were able to. We went for lunch so it wasn't crowded at all. The pirate theme of the restaurant was nice being that it's right on the marina. We opted to stay outside and they had fans and light mist on so it wasn't hot. Servers were very attentive and we quickly got our drinks - 2 margaritas and 2 shots of tequila! The mango margarita was the best!! The frozen consistency was on point, it was so refreshing. They also gave us chips and salsa while waiting for our food. We ordered the carne asada app which was soo good, highly recommend! For lunch I ordered a salad (cuz i was eating bad all week) which was really good and my hubs got the fish tacos. We've been comparing fish tacos all week and thought these were the best that we've tried from the resort all inclusive plan. The fish was battered and crispy and the tortillas were slightly crisp as well, the sauce they used on the tacos rounded it out nicely. Wish we could've tried the dinner menu as well cuz it looked good. We'll have to try it next time. Check this spot out. Def worth a try if you have the AI plan at the resorts. read more

The service was horrible. I think the waiter was under the influence of methamphetamine. It took so long for our drinks to arrive that I went up to the bar after going to the bathroom and seeing my drinks were still sitting there so I served myself. My partners fillet was over cooked, and the size of my 16 ounce ribeye was more like a 10 ounce. Like I wouldn't notice! They have a nice grill out front which attracted me to the place. But since it is in such a tourist trap area, I think their approach is once they've caught you, they just throw you back and have no expectation of you returning. read more
