Californias enjoying life!

Eduardo was an amazing server. He was attentive and kind! Don't miss this place. We had the best Steak and Lobster, Tomahawk and margaritas! The live music was amazing! The view at Sunset is very beautiful too!

It's a Great location, connected to Fiesta Marina being one of their all inclusive restaurants. (However, most of their steaks require an up-charge) we didn't do the all inclusive with Marina Fiesta for this reason. We unfortunately were very disappointed in our steak and manager Javier. We went there to specifically get a good steak and ordered the Filet Mignon. Our waiter however upsold us on the special for $100, which included a 14oz Ribeye steak, shrimp and octopus. Presentation looked great until I cut the ribeye in half and thought, WTH, this is the finest Ribeye I've seen at a restaurant. The shrimp and octopus were good however our ribeye steak was thin, tough and obviously not a 14oz portion. This looked nothing like others that were on the grill out front and we asked to speak to the Manager. Javier however did absolutely nothing to fix what was not right. Another large group next to us were also dissatisfied with their order and we overheard the manager again doing nothing to make it right. Towards the end of our meal it was obvious they wanted us to move on so we ordered another round of beers. After we ordered a third round of beers, our waiter threw the credit card reader down on a service tray behind us in disgust. Maybe they got the point?

Porterhouse, baked potatoes, corn, veggies, and the grill

I gave it 5 because of the experience and the quality of the steak. My girl had shrimp and she said it was excellent. My steak was pretty good. Done right and seasoned well. I'd rate this a top 12 porterhouse out of 15. I was focused on the steak and not the sides. My main complaint is the lack of a good sharp knife to cut through this monster of a steak. The steak had some nice marbling and a nice amount of meat to fat. Mine had some grizzle. The sides (baked potato, corn on the cob, and grilled veggies) were really good! It's obviously a dinner for 2 but at 6'3" and 225 a 2lb 2"+ isn't a rarity for me. It's a very nice experience. The downfall is the dull knife. When you have a decent steak, but can't cut it like intended it takes away from it. But it was seasoned exceptionally well. I did use A1 because a drop does enhance the flavor of the meat.

We went to Jack's Steak House because it was part of our hotel's all inclusive package and it did not disappoint. Out of all of the places we ate with the inclusive, it was one of my favorites. Located centrally in the Golden Zone marina, it has beautiful views of the harbor, hills and sunset. We made a reservation and were seated on the patio. They had live music which added to the fun vibes and decor. Great place for steak and wine, but the shrimp was by far the show stopper in my perspective, although I'm not a huge red meat fan. My husband loved his ribeye. Service was good but we had a table of six and they forgot one order of ribeye so one friend had to wait while they added that. They don't specifically have a kids menu, but if you ask they have a chicken tenders and another item. We loved the dessert too, especially the sorbets. Good place to eat and and not too many vendors or tourists depending on the time you go.

Expecting a tourist trap on the waterfront I hedged myself bet abs got all you can eat buffet advertised outside. Menu is made for Americans with stuff like ceaser salad, fried shrimp and cheese quesadilla. Wife got the cerviche excluded from the buffet abs that was actually quite good with little pineapple sweetness to offset the sharp acidic lime used. 4 stars Bucket of shrimp was a tiny bucket but had 21-30 count juicy shrimp with fries 4 stars. Everything else like ceaser salad, beef soup, shrimp bisque was very passable 2 stars. Lunch they don't BBQ outside so that was a real bummer as well.

Pros, it's located on the marina, servers were friendly and the service was fast, and the espresso martini was pretty good. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. As an FYI, if you sit too close to the waterfront, peddlers will bother you to buy products, tours, etc. Cons, the food was terrible and expensive. Over $10 USD for tortilla soup, with no meat/protein and it was so bland. Their signature margarita was $615 pesos (roughly $35 USD). I ordered tempura avocado tacos that were advertised as coming with mixed salad, Mexican sauce and tematada sauce. None of those items were present. It was flour tortillas, cheese and fried avocado. Similar to the soup, they were bland. I'm giving them one star for their staff and the martini. I would not return. There are too many other, much better options on the marina. Also wanted to add, the prices on the receipt were higher than what was on their advertised menu.

My husband and I decided to venture out into town today! We had a wonderful evening at Jack's. Not only were the employees beyond friendly, but the food was delicious. Our waiter Jesus was helpful and very attentive! From the appetizers to the desserts, everything exceeded our expectations. The steak was so tender it melted in your mouth. You can easily tell the ice cream was homemade. I wish we had tried them earlier so we could come back for dinner. Consider sitting inside or at one of the tables farthest from the boardwalk. There are quite a few entrepreneurs who are eager to interrupt dinner for a business deal.

Great marina view and this was part of our inclusive package at Marina Fiesta. We made reservations for dinner and nobody was really in the restaurant but there was live music. The food did take a while to arrive. I ordered the coconut shrimp, which were huge, and really enjoyed them. I also ordered the steak with asparagus and a baked potato and it had good flavor very tender. I got a strawberry mojito to drink and they always tasted so fresh.

Greasy and gross Steak

Dos Stars Jack's. Very disappointed in this restaurant. The food was awful. Our Steak was super greasy with a lot of fat around it. No spice just gross and bland. Drinks were blah too. Service was good. And the Gentlemen playing the guitar that evening made it tolerable to hang in there. Aside from the ambiance of the water and boats, I will not be back. Forks down Jack's.

The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly made and refreshing, pairing so well with the food. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Beautiful atmosphere with lights, plenty of tables, and clean bathrooms. The seafood is so fresh! We ordered the crab meat tostada, aguichiles, ceviche, grilled octopus dinner, garlic shrimp dinner, and fresh grilled fish (Acapulco style) for 2. The dinner plates cakes with a side of rice and steamed mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh, delicious, tender, and so flavorful. As a group, we couldn't come to a consensus on what each of our favorite dish was. We each had our own favorite. Crab meat was sweet, garlic shrimp was buttery, grilled octopus was so tender, aguichiles was so citrusy... I can go on and on. Ask for fresh tortillas. Also don't skip their margarita. Strong, citrusy, and generous serving. They accept USD or pesos. Also strolling musicians will come by your table asking to play a song. Some will tell you the price up front others will expect a tip at the end.

One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I'm not a fan of garlic and didn't know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water -- still amazing. Calamari Fresh, tender, and very well cooked. Seafood Special Combination Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others. Price & Value The prices here are unbelievably cheap. * 6 chocolate clams = 285 pesos * Waldorf restaurant: 2 clams for $48 USD * Another place we tried: 2 clams for 340 pesos After eating around Cabo, this place clearly stood out for both quality and price. Overall Huge portions, super fresh seafood, local vibes, and unbeatable value. If you're anywhere near Cabo San Lucas, this spot is a must-visit.

From the street it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall, the kind of spot you might almost miss if you're busy chasing fancy marina restaurants. But step inside and suddenly you're in on the secret. Open air, flags hanging everywhere, signatures on the walls from travelers who clearly had a very good night, and the kind of energy that says dinner might get a little rowdy. Now let's talk shrimp. Big, juicy, swimming in garlic, lime, butter, and Baja attitude. The kind of seafood that makes you stop mid-bite and look at your table like, "Yep... we picked the right place." If you love seafood with a Mexican twist, this place doesn't mess around. And then there's the legendary Bulldog drink. It's tequila, beer, citrus, and just enough mischief to make the table louder after the first round. Order one and you'll understand why people start signing their names on the walls like they just joined a Cabo fraternity. Bottom line: this isn't just dinner. It's a little Cabo adventure wrapped in garlic shrimp and cold drinks. If you want quiet elegance, go somewhere else. But if you want flavor, personality, and a story to tell later... pull up a chair. Killer line: Some restaurants serve food Maro's serves memories with a side of shrimp.

I have been coming to Maro's Shrimp House since I found it, probably on Tripadvisor at the time,…read more way back in June 2016 and we make it a must on every trip to Cabo. Even when I was in Cabo on a cruise ship last Friday (11/28), had to hole up in my cabin on my laptop and work a half day (until 11am), missing out on my family's morning excursion all with a 1pm last tender call to get back to the ship... After my wife, mother-in-law, daughter & son's excursion with well reviewed Real Baja Tours (which I arranged separately instead of through the ship), all but my son were dropped off back at the ship as they wanted to skip out on the amazingness of Maro's. Yeah, I KNOW!! CRAZY!! The driver was nice enough to drop my son off at Maro's afterwards and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, just a few minutes before their 12pm opening time. Even though, we were a few minutes early, they gladly seated us right away. And very surprisingly, we were the only ones there for a good 20 minutes. From our very first visit in 2016, it is quite clear that the only things you need order is the shrimp and lobster which are fantastic...and THE BULLDOG (basically a giant schooner of margarita with an upended Coronita standing on its drowning head)...well, no Bulldogs for the boy. Service is very efficient and the friendly staff (despite not knowing too much English, except Maro himself, of course) is very attentive to any calls we had for refills of GARLIC WITH BUTTER (soooo much garlic, it was fantastic) & my dear, dear Bulldogs. Speaking of Bulldogs, they keep track of the most Bulldogs drunken in a sitting. I believe the current leader had 22...which is a superhuman feet because I was feeling quite FINE (read: tipsy) after my two. Also speaking of Bulldogs, on a visit in 2024, my kids, one friend of theirs and I witnessed a server giving 3 ladies a lapdance when they ordered one to share. Now that's service! Lol. Having told the staff we had to get outta there at 12:30pm, they delivered our wonderful meals very promptly and after first giving us totopos (tortilla chips) with two kinds of delicious salsa (well, a salsa and a pico de gallo). We each ordered the 1/4 kilo of lobster and 1/4 medium shrimp for $24.95 USD. (Note prices on the menu are conveniently in USD.) This was more than ample for one person but we prodded on and thoroughly enjoyed it, as always. With each plate, they serve the seafood with a very tasty rice pilaf and some pieces of squash or something I still can't figure out and after 2 Bulldogs, I completely forgot to ask about. They also give you a piping hot cup of that GARLIC WITH BUTTER served over a candle to keep hot which is brilliant. There is nothing worse than eating your giant platter of lobster and shrimp and the butter starts getting cold and becomes gluey and gloppy. That stuff is so good, we asked for another cup (and unlike American restaurants, it was free). On our visit in 2024, we actually got to meet Maro himself, took a picture with him, printed and framed it at home, brought it with us on the cruise and mounted it on the wall to the right of the L.A. Dodger flag, naturally. Since there wasn't any room left to write something with a provided marker, I added my DK to the bottom of the UCLA Bruin flag hidden near the back to the left. Oh, while you might think this place is a dingey dive by the look of the joint with its millions of marked up mostly collegiate flags lining the walls and rafters, the food makes it absolutely worth a visit...or two while you're in town. So save Edith's or Hacienda Y Cucina for the evenings (unless you want what I suspect would be a super fun & roudier crowd in the evenings). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wow, that's a David K 4x HIGHLY RECOMMEND so ya better go!
