This is the best happy hour in Traverse City. Year after year when I visit I make sure to stop here. William the bartender is excellent and never slows down. It gets packed with mostly locals despite that it's in a hotel. 3.50 wells, $4.50 Tito's and soda. Drink specials on everything and appetizers/munchies too. The menu is vast from jalapeño poppers and potatoes skins to lobster risotto and escargot. Steaks, seafood, and the best baked wings ever. Get them blackened. We've dined at ParkShore 4 or 5 times now and the food is always delicious. The service is fantastic! The only downside to ParkShore is that the restaurant is smaller and always busy so it's very loud. If you are looking for a quieter ambiance this is not the right place but it is still a must try. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food tasted. I ordered the salmon dinner and then left room so I could order dessert. I had the New York Cheesecake with caramel sauce, and my waitress said she gave me extra whipped cream. The waitress was attentive and checked on me throughout and made sure to refill my drink before it got too low. The restaurant was a little loud but since I was by myself it was entertaining to listen to the various conversations. I want to try other local restaurants during my stay so I am not sure if I will return again before I go home, but I definitely recommend this restaurant. Wife had a Reuben and liked it. Appetizer of mozzarella sticks to be avoided (soggy). I had special mango burger and it was disappointing. The waitress was very good but seemed spread too thin, we were not overserved. It's a nice place overall and we'd go back again if staying longer. read more

We went on tge Saturday of the Kentucky Derby and they were busy. Our waiter Chris was excellent and attentive. Express martini was good and strong. Late night eats with drinks available. We didn't know that Traverse City outskirts are like family vacation places that close at 9 pm. Unfortunately our resort had no food. We have been going here for a long time and it's going downhill. Yesterday I had the rib special. It was obvious that the ribs had been from another day and reheated. They were tough, and I mean tough. I could hardly cut them with the butter knife they gave me. They were the worst ribs I've ever had at a restaurant! The meager amount of fries were small and hard and they put parmesan cheese on top of them...terrible. A tiny cup of coleslaw that a mouse could eat topped it all off. The service was slow. I get it, good help is hard to find, but they need to pay more or get more staff. I'm sorry to say this place is going downhill fast. Try something else. read more

Parkshore Resort Lounge is a best kept secret to most, but not to the locals who frequent that hidden gem. The lounge has all that you could ask for. We went there twice on the weekend Fri.& Sat. nights because of their DJ Mike and discovered a cornucopia of food. Over our 2 day adventure there In between dances, we dined on Escargot, Raw Oysters, Oysters Rockefeller, Salsa & Chips, Crab Cakes, Quesadillas, White Fish, Lobster Bisque, Texas Burgers, and Chicken Wings. We also drank plenty, Lemon Drop, Pina Colada, Hennessey, and draft beers, Winter Lager, Bells, & Labatt. All the food and drinks were awesome!!!!!!!!!!! The service there was exceptional!, our waitress Rachel was phenomenal, very knowledgeable and charming. The bartender was incredible but didn't get her name. What a quaint hidden gem inside the park shore hotel. It's a rather small place but wow it's Poppin with energy and the service is over the top. The smoked gouda mac and cheese (labeled as a house specialty) was literally dry noodles served in a soup of sauce. The sauce did not stick to the noodles at all and was excessive. The food would've been good if the Alfredo dishes actually came with Alfredo sauce...had to ask for more sauce as we couldn't even tell there was any, the pasta just tasted like noodles. Took 20 ish minutes for sauce by then the noodles were cold. We did not order alcoholic drinks just soda and we got the impression that meant we did not deserve good service (or refills for that matter). The Mac n cheese with lobster however was great. So I usually take bad reviews with a grain of salt if there is at least some 4 star reviews. I shouldn't have here. The service was good. Not anything over the top but good. That's where the good review ends. To sum it up this is probably one of if not the worst meals I've had. It was the prime rib dinner. Steak came out gray and was more medium than medium rare. There was just 0 flavor to it. I should have known when the waitress offered A1 sauce for a prime rib. Who does that... The mashed potatoes were dry and the broccoli I'm not sure how it was cooked but it was under cooked. Both completely void of flavor. The shrimp cocktail we are pretty sure was frozen before we ordered it because it came out warm like they had just microwaved it. The wedge salad was good and the garlic cheese bread was as well. So I guess there is a plus. I normally would have sent it all back but it was late and we had been traveling all day so I just powered thru just simply to get some sustenance. The Park Shore Lounge has excellent food. Wonderful shrimp bisque. But it's very loud in there.

The waitress was nice for starters. The place was poppin on a Friday night! Asked her how the artichoke dip was and she said good.... It was melted bitter with artichoke chunks and some bread ends. Worst appetizer ever! Ordered the pizza and it was ok. The pictures on yelp damn sure don't match what's coming out on the plates!!! We love the Parkshore Lounge. We stop by here every time we come to the Traverse City area. It's been a couple years since we were here last. We were pleasantly surprised at how much cleaner it is now. Megan and William are wonderful! My husband loves their ahi tuna. He loved it so much that he had eight orders in two days. Extremely understaffed. Took 30 minutes to get a food order in (drinks can fairly quickly) not much follow up on how we were doing. Forgot side salads for the prime rib dinners. We had to ask a flustered waitress to get another table some menus because they had not been checked on or offered menus. Food was ok...nothing to write home about and nothing special. We chose this as somewhere that indicated they didn't have a 2 hour wait when called, however, if we would have know that the service was terrible, we would have chosen something else. read more

I ordered the surf n Turf. Lobster tail was overcooked and tasted like rubber. My steak asked for Medium. Came out well. So after waiting another 20 min for another steak to come back well done for the 3rd time. 3 strikes and you're out! The fact that I still had to pay 25$ of the 40$ meal is complete bs. 06/11/2021. Beware of the double tax at this restaurant/lounge. They charged me double. I questioned them in front of patrons and they said they always do this. They corrected the problem and than barred me from coming back. The whitefish was terrible and had to be returned ! I only noticed the tax mark up after checking to be sure the bill was correct. The female bartender acted as the manager who obviously has no management training. In two days i spent $160 and tipped 20%. Even with the food being mid grade food is generous. Very disappointed with the lounge overall, for a $3 over charge,some poor waitress or waiter will lose $15 to $20 in tips and the restaurant will loose another $160 because. When we get in to Traverse city this is the first place we go. Love the artichoke appetizer

So my sister and I were supposed to go to Peru this summer and obviously because of the virus we couldn't. We decided to try and make the best of it and head up to Michigan for a few days. We stayed at the hotel attached to this place and the hotel was just fine but this restaurant is full of awful people. We stopped down for a drink before we went to the lake and we refused to let someone sit next to us (there was a blue X on my seat mind you to indicate you weren't supposed to sit there) at the bar who was there was meet a group of locals who apparently go there often. The group of people harassed my sister and I loudly and not a single person who worked there interfered. The bartender and several of the wait staff were standing right there and watched the whole thing go down. Obviously this bar doesn't follow the guidelines set by the CDC and don't enforce social distancing. I still have a bad taste in my mouth for the way we were treated. If you don't live in Traverse City don't bother going to this place because they'll just treat you like crap. read more

The Parkshore resort has friendly staff and good drink and food specials. You can take your drinks to the beach and walk freely around the resort. This bar offers a lot of freedom to its patrons and is a great spot to drink. More importantly, they are super friendly to new customers and the staff is very accommodating. read more
