Our server was friendly, helpful, and knew her way around the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was lovely with the big open windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delightful. We had the beignet for appetizer. Corn beef hash, and short rib benedict. For beverages we did an NA mimosa: soda water and orange juice.

Elegant and delicious! On our way to the Upper peninsula we stopped for oysters during happy hour. Very standard "East Coast Oysters" but always hit the spot! Happy hour is a 20% discount, Oysters not included! Chris was an excellent bartender, she was super relaxed and poised to help! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was pretty dead but the bar rail was pretty populated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All in all a fantastic happy hour spot for nicer drinks and one of the only northern Michigan spots for Oysters!!!

Service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We stayed at the hotel there for two nights and didn't even dream of eating there until the morning we were leaving. We sat down and had breakfast and I was so angry with myself that we had already checked out and we should have been eating here the whole time. I can totally see why they have won best restaurant 6 years in a row. Portions are not skimpy but not gluttonous. I love the little fruit salad topped with freshly whipped cream, you could totally taste it was freshly whipped cream, with every dish and an option for a tomato basil salad instead of getting potatoes, since I'm not a big potato person. I could cut my filet with the butter knife and it was perfectly cooked I can't say enough good things about this place. I did feel like the prices for dinner we're on the higher end but if their quality of their food was anything like what we had for breakfast it's probably worth the price.

With all the great places to eat in traverse city why would you go to a hotel lobby to eat? Because the food is really good and always great service !!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are remodeling so it's going to be an updated atmosphere too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was our first night in Traverse City and we came here for dinner. We were a little skeptical of it being in a local hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good as was the service. I had the Maple & Fig Glazed Salmon, which was delicious. My wife had the Lake Huron Yellow Perch, which was very good, but the menu should say that it's fried.

That being picky though, the place feels welcoming and is brightly lit and feels well cared for. I ordered the Pot Roast ($20). It's described as slow roasted with carrots and onions and mashed potatoes. It was fantastic. The meat was tender and delicious. the gravy was perfect without overpowering. The carrots and onions were a great compliment. Plus the real mashed potatoes were made to perfection. Smooth, yet still had the potatoness to the texture. The taste was one of the better mashed potatoes I've had in TC. I don't know what they do th their TC Cherry Coke, but it is spectacular. Lastly for dessert I got their Lava Cake ($7), it was fine, but disappointing after such a great meal. I don't know if it was from frozen or what. However the texture was a little off andvthe taste was only okay. I wouldn't get it again. The service was very friendly and super helpful. Overall a 4 1/2 star review. Since I have to round, I'm going to forgive the dessert and give a full 5 stars. Would I return? Absolutely. Especially if I'm craving Pot Roast.

Prices are on par with touristy craft beer destinations. We appreciated the quick accommodating service and the waitress going out of her way to find the FIFA England vs. Panama game. Food was good. I had a bite of hubby's walleye fried fish sandwich and the tartar sauce was out of this world good. I enjoyed the added ginger. Overall, a nice easy stop along the way. We appreciated they could accommodate 10 of us and indulge the birthday guest with a special German chocolate cake that was purchased at another location. Very awesome customer service. The slight cherry tang invthe bbq sauce created a very appetizing taste. The wings were cooked perfectly and I highly enjoyed them. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner ($29). This is a local michigan-raised pork with a cherry apple chutney. The pork chop was excellent and the cherry apple chutney was a great addition. It came with mashed potatoes and a cucumber corn medley. They both were very good. North Peak Brewing makes their own Root Beer. Honestly that why I chose to come here. Thankfully the Root Beer was excellent. The service was friendly, but not very efficient. I think they are short staffed because the bar tender was also my waiter and he was busy bartendering! Overall I still rate this a 5 star review. The Wings, Pork Chop, and Root Beer were all excellent and I would return for any of them. So yes I would Return.

When we ordered, the bartender didn't drink which made it hard to know what certain beers taste like, but honestly, no judgement because he did the right thing and offered tastes of beer which was awesome and helpful! So service wise I would say great! The beer tasted really good as well and was decently priced. They had a bourbon barrel stout which was pretty good and newly released. The biggest issue we had was with the food. I ordered the spam sandwich with chips and my wife ordered the chicken quesadilla. While the food was cheap, the quality of the food also seems that way too based off what we ordered. The spam sandwich was supposed to be teriyaki flavored, and didn't get any of that. There wasn't a lot of thousand island dressing on it too, which made the sandwich dry. The chips that were served were clearly out of a bag as they were cold, which made it seem like I could have just gotten a bag myself. I would have paid a few dollars extra to get something fresh like fries. While spam comes from a can and I know this, my wife's chicken quesadilla had chicken that was clearly from a can - it was sopping wet, and the meat was very chunky, and very salty. This made us worry the rest of the food may not be very fresh. While we did have that experience, I will say the pretzel bites were really good and did seem fresh, and they were sourdough! So that was nice. I think this place has very good beer, and a really cool bar setup with a nice stage, arcade machines, and much more. However, I wouldn't come back here for lunch. Instead, I would make food at home. I would highly recommend more fresher options, and I would pay a little more for better quality food.

The ambiance was first-rate: we were seated at a table with a clear view of the waterfront. Service was equal to anything one might expect from a Michelin/starred restaurant: attentive without being intrusive; able to answer most questions or obtain the answer if not known. We had a couple of glasses of wine. The server was helpful in suggesting a glass for each of us that matched our meals well. And speaking of the meals: We shared the cacio y pepe, which was a plentiful (almost too plentiful) serving of romaine lettuce, covered - a bit to excess --with a dressing. The dressing was tasty, but a bit less might have improved the dish. The co-diner got the seafood dumpling appetizer. The soup had a nice broth, and the dumpling was nicely flavored. Unfortunately, it also came with a chile, the heat of which tended to overwhelm the rest of the dish. For our mains, the co-diner got a salmon entree. He thought the salmon selected for the dish was quite a bit "fishier" in taste than the salmon we like to cook at home. The way the salmon was cooked was fine. It would have improved the dish if a better quality of salmon had been used. I ordered the rack of lamb, medium rare. It arrived, and was very rare - so much so that the inner pieces were borderline raw: not what I asked for. The lamb could also have been trimmed a bit, as the fat was clearly visible as a large part of the dish. It came with some nice mushrooms, and a green sauce made from pulverized veggies - very good. For dessert, we shared a piece of spice cake, with tart cherries and mascarpone. Our server also brought us a bonus dessert of a fluffy cheesecake with salted caramel topping, and ginger snaps on the side. Must say, the desserts were the highlight of the meal. All in all, while the front of the house reached a high level, the back of house fell a bit short of what one might expect from a restaurant of that quality.
