    Outdoor patio

I really enjoyed their outdoor patio area. Cool music playing and a bar there. Definitely a fun vibe, and nice view of Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the atmosphere. I was there with 3 other people. We all had the white bean chili and all 4 of us were disappointed. I am a sucker for things labeled "award winning", but I wish I had asked what award this chili won. It was called "Award Winning White Chicken Chili". This item lacked a description like the rest of the menu items. I wish they had provided a description on the menu because then I wouldn't have ordered it. It had a heavy, cheesy, tangy base. My mom thought it was like Velveeta cheese. It reminded us of a cheese dip instead of a chili. The Mozzarella sticks were okay, nothing special. I enjoyed my chef salad with ranch dressing. I would return and try different items. Friendly and attentive service. Easy parking.

I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews on Yelp. The reviews on google are closer to accurate. This place is a tale of two places. There is an inside bar and dining area and then a nice outdoor patio with views of the bay. We always wait for the outside seating. The food is good but not fine dining. You come for good food, cold beer and a view. They have changed the whitefish and walleye from the last time we were there and both are good. Tried the prime rib on special. It was ok too well done for me but understandable given later in the evening. Pics are after we started eating ... doh!

We've passed this restaurant literally HUNDREDS of times while in TC, always remarking on how busy the parking lot always is and how it must be very good. Finally after years we parked and pooped in for dinner. It's funny after years we assumed what the interior and menu would be.... We were quite off. The inside is updated for sure, this place opened in 1968 and was renovated recently it appears. Bright side and open dining area with a large curved bar on the wall and a huge outdoor patio. The patio allows better views of the east bay of course but on this hot sunny night it was crowded and the road noise may be a downer lol but they did have a stage for live music and a sweet bar so that's cool! The menu was not big as I expected... it was mainly a combo of bar food and family style dinners. My gut told me to get a staple "family" restaurant meal... like a sandwich or a chicken tender basket BUT we noticed a lot of Greek items on the menu... so we decided to try the Greek pizza. We started with fried mushrooms... delicious breading and incredible handmade ranch VERY small portion for the price. The pizza was large and very cheesy but it was not really a Greek pizza... it was more of a cheese pizza with way too many black olive and chunks of gryo meat... it was supposed to have feta. No feta was on this pizza?! None. Not a bad pizza but nothing about it was Greek to us which was disappointing. Beer menu was small, cocktail was weak and small. Service was fine. I'd try this place again but it was just okay for us... first impressions... I'd go again though

Parmesan whitefish... it's what to get here!

Food was good and the service was great. Best cocktail for the money around TC. The view of the bay is nice too.

We got there around 1pm and it was packed, but comfortable. We snagged the last available table and appreciated the good selection of beer and cider. Service was friendly and fast too. Which was good since we were starving. Fried pickles and cheese curds were fresh and not at all greasy. I always appreciate when a kitchen knows how to handle their frying oil. We split the fried apps and a karaage rice bowl for a fine lunch to launch us into the rest of the weekend. I would totally go back to this place.

Dinner was equally uneven. The fried pickles and cheese curds were solid for what they are, and probably the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, the chicken shawarma was awful. It tasted like someone dumped sumac on it and called it a day. That was basically the entire flavor profile: sumac, sumac, and more sumac. I genuinely would not serve that dish to someone I disliked, let alone a paying customer. Overall, there are a few decent fried bar snacks here, but not enough to make up for the bad beer list and the terrible entrée. I'd avoid it.

The slight cherry tang invthe bbq sauce created a very appetizing taste. The wings were cooked perfectly and I highly enjoyed them. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner ($29). This is a local michigan-raised pork with a cherry apple chutney. The pork chop was excellent and the cherry apple chutney was a great addition. It came with mashed potatoes and a cucumber corn medley. They both were very good. North Peak Brewing makes their own Root Beer. Honestly that why I chose to come here. Thankfully the Root Beer was excellent. The service was friendly, but not very efficient. I think they are short staffed because the bar tender was also my waiter and he was busy bartendering! Overall I still rate this a 5 star review. The Wings, Pork Chop, and Root Beer were all excellent and I would return for any of them. So yes I would Return.

This place has potential- it's an adorable cozy hometown bar that has all the feels to be the best place in town- but boy did it drop many balls. Pro: 1: Televisions on around the space with the live football game on! Woohoo 2: jukebox where you can select the tunes. 3: they give you a small cup of crayons for kids, "and they weren't the normal red, blue, green, yellow only!" The pros end there sadly. We stopped in at 6:35 on Sunday. The restaurant was busy but not wild. We stood for ten minutes before anyone greeted us- and when we were greeted the woman said oh there's a table there you can take. So if you stop in I am assuming it's seat yourself?! After seating ourselves we sat at our table another ten minutes without menus, without being greeted. My husband and I looked at each other and laughed- maybe we're supposed to order at the bar?! I got up and got menus for our table. After another 5-8 minutes a server came over and took our order. We ordered two pizzas, a burger, nachos, and a wet chicken burrito. The food took forever to arrive- I mean forever!!!! Like I mentioned we sat at 6:50ish, and our food arrived at 8:04! Our kids were pretty over waiting and so were we. The food was very sub par- we won't be returning unfortunately which is a bummer because the bar is adorable. The nachos were gross and felt like a can of dog food had been poured onto tortilla chips. The only redeeming factor was the sour cream and cheese per our kids. The pizza was pretty awful also! And it's pizza- it's not hard to get pizza right. The pizza was so darn greasy. I couldn't eat mine and our kids only had a few bites. Such a bummer. My husband ate his burger but didn't love it. The burrito was eh- nothing to write home about. I was excited and hopeful about it. The chicken inside was a bit off putting to me. It felt like fake chicken bits which totally creeped me out. After we paid our bill we eagerly left. If you're passing through town keep going. There busy be better. My husband and I only came in for a quick easy good meal- after our time here we wish we'd cooked in.
