    Outdoor patio

I really enjoyed their outdoor patio area. Cool music playing and a bar there. Definitely a fun vibe, and nice view of Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the atmosphere. I was there with 3 other people. We all had the white bean chili and all 4 of us were disappointed. I am a sucker for things labeled "award winning", but I wish I had asked what award this chili won. It was called "Award Winning White Chicken Chili". This item lacked a description like the rest of the menu items. I wish they had provided a description on the menu because then I wouldn't have ordered it. It had a heavy, cheesy, tangy base. My mom thought it was like Velveeta cheese. It reminded us of a cheese dip instead of a chili. The Mozzarella sticks were okay, nothing special. I enjoyed my chef salad with ranch dressing. I would return and try different items. Friendly and attentive service. Easy parking.

A nasty cup that wasn't washed before served to me.

Food was sent back, waitress was terrible, my cup was gross with something on all grooves inside the cup.

I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews on Yelp. The reviews on google are closer to accurate. This place is a tale of two places. There is an inside bar and dining area and then a nice outdoor patio with views of the bay. We always wait for the outside seating. The food is good but not fine dining. You come for good food, cold beer and a view. They have changed the whitefish and walleye from the last time we were there and both are good. Tried the prime rib on special. It was ok too well done for me but understandable given later in the evening. Pics are after we started eating ... doh!

Food was good and the service was great. Best cocktail for the money around TC. The view of the bay is nice too.

I walked through the door and patrons were throwing popcorn at each other, dipping napkins in beer, and screaming hoarse obscenities at waitstaff. I understand it is a bar, but I didn't expect to find this in Traverse City. We sat down on the other side of the restaurant--"Doublewide" means there are two restaurants in one building, haha--and waited maybe ten minutes for someone to come take our drink order. My dad's drink order came out wrong and ended up being for the man seated behind us, but that wasn't much of a concern; it happens from time to time at different restaurants, so we didn't think much of it. It was only when we ordered and waited ~1.5 hours for our /appetizer/ that things began to look like a problem. Our waitress was very sweet--small, black hair, and too polite for a job like that. She kept saying that the kitchen was behind and they had a lot of orders, and I believed her; a dingy bar-style restaurant probably doesn't have Michelin cooks to begin with, and then you overwhelm them with a weeks worth of tourism? Anyway I don't remember her name but girlie I'm blowing you a kiss I hope you find a better job After my dad's third refill, though, we never saw her again. Other tables that had more people and had come in after us were getting their food, but we never saw our waitress to ask, and this clearly bothered the man seated behind us (the man who you'll recall had swapped drinks with us, party of one, and hadn't gotten his food either). He, my dad, and I asked another waitress how much longer the food would take and she said she would check, but she came back several times with ambiguous answers and never told us. I never expected to spend so long waiting for food. Again, at this point, all we have received is an iced tea and a water. I have medicine I take for my seizures and a neurological condition and did not take them into the restaurant with me because I did not expect to spend two hours twiddling my thumbs. I told the waitress if she didn't have a solid timetable I would have to leave because I had medicine I had to take, and pointed at my medical bracelet. She scoffed and turned away, and did not answer my question. Anyway, we left six dollars for the iced tea and left because girl what are we doing

Prices are on par with touristy craft beer destinations. We appreciated the quick accommodating service and the waitress going out of her way to find the FIFA England vs. Panama game. Food was good. I had a Caesar salad with sardines added for $2 and a cheddar white ale soup. Everything was good and fresh. I had a bite of hubby's walleye fried fish sandwich and the tartar sauce was out of this world good. I enjoyed the added ginger. Overall, a nice easy stop along the way. We appreciated they could accommodate 10 of us and indulge the birthday guest with a special German chocolate cake that was purchased at another location. Very awesome customer service. The slight cherry tang invthe bbq sauce created a very appetizing taste. The wings were cooked perfectly and I highly enjoyed them. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner ($29). This is a local michigan-raised pork with a cherry apple chutney. The pork chop was excellent and the cherry apple chutney was a great addition. It came with mashed potatoes and a cucumber corn medley. They both were very good. North Peak Brewing makes their own Root Beer. Honestly that why I chose to come here. Thankfully the Root Beer was excellent. The service was friendly, but not very efficient. I think they are short staffed because the bar tender was also my waiter and he was busy bartendering! Overall I still rate this a 5 star review. The Wings, Pork Chop, and Root Beer were all excellent and I would return for any of them. So yes I would Return.
