Went to this Jack's today and saw they had something new called BBQ Bacon Cheese Fries. I went through the drive-thru and decided to order these and boy do I regret it. These were not good at all and ended up just throwing them away. The Fries weren't seasoned with that famous Jack's seasoning that they were known for at all, the cheese had a sour chemical taste to them, and the BBQ sauce was just too much. This Jacks has improved dramatically since last year! They have improved the staff, improve the management, and I've definitely worked on customer service as a whole. They've started to double check their food and order quality! They're also more likely to get things fixed if something does happen to be wrong! I went through the drive-thru to get lunch for my son and myself. They forgot the two cookies that I ordered. I asked for no tomato on my burger and I got a tomato on it. Drive through snack and drink fix location. One huge stand out for this Jack's is proximity to the highway. Very quick easy access on and off the highway making it a prime location. Typical of any other Jack's locations, if you are going through the drive through, they are on a timer system to process customers as quickly as possible. So the wait, even if there are a few cars lines up, is typically very short! As far as sweet tea goes, not the cheapest, but some of the best tasting fast food sweet tea in the south! Also, they make some pretty good fries that come with a dusting of seasoning and are always fresh! Good location and friendly staff. Have been here several times and will continue to use them for quick drink and snack fixes. read more

JACKS has gotten my order wrong 3 out of the 5 times I've been here. Plus the sandwiches usually come out BURNT. I'll send it back and the manager ALWAYS tries to blame me. Ordered online. A 12 piece family chicken meal. Walked in abs was completely ignored for 3-4 minutes with 5 employees wandering around the back. When they finally acknowledged me said "it ain't ready. We have to cook it ". Now keep in mind is ordered it 15 minutes earlier and had arrived at my time the app said it would be ready. Wow! I've tried this Jack's several times in the last 3 months. It's never been a 4 or 5 star but tonight really was sad. I understand that management can only do so much because at least someone comes in to work. Well tonight I walked in and lately I've been going in to see the condition and how they prepared my food. First the place could be cleaned. Employee (males) need belts. I don't want to see your underwear while you're preparing my food or anyone else's. Black shirts were white with flour as if it was a flour bomb explosion. Then young man preparing has on gloves but every 3 to 5 seconds and I'm not fabricating it he wipes his gloves hands on his shirt or sagging jeans. I said something to him as well as the manager. She explained that he can't do that and change the gloves. Well he changed them and within a minute he was doing it again. Maybe he is unconsciously doing it but you can't. Them he pulls out his cell phone and texts, put it back in his pocket and continues to prepare food. My chicken was in the fryer because I asked for it fresh due to last visit I received dried out chicken for the sandwich. Well I asked for a refund before my chicken was cooked and the manager told me she will make my order once the chicken was done. I know this is long but if you go through the drive thru you have no clue of how your food is prepared. I started going in once I noticed that almost every time you have to pull around and wait. So me being curious I wanted to see the operation. I've been in customer service for over 20 years and this is not even satisfactory if given my opinion. I think training and discipline can help (military veteran speaking) and employees suggestions on what they need/want to improve their customer service and work ethic. I will give Jack's a break for a while hopefully they can get it together. I know they are not Chic fil a but please change. read more

Love it, love it, love it!! Now that I no longer live in the Bible Belt's buckle, I miss out on Jack's. Recently, I was back for a visit to this location. Jack's is delicious. The burgers and fried chicken are the stars here at lunch, yet my top recommendation is a visit at breakfast. A few points.... 1. The staff at this location (like at most) are very friendly and helpful. Never a bad service experience. 2. They have broader options for breakfast. You can get pancakes, breakfast platters, and (most importantly) grits. If you have never had grits, Jack's offers a delicious introduction. 3. The chicken biscuit with egg (my favourite) is a bit more expensive, yet worth every bite. 4. For $9.99 you can get a large order of biscuits (I believe 10). These make great additions to any lunch or dinner event. read more

Worst Jack's I have ever been to. Had to listen to the employees screaming at each other while I waited ten minutes on my order inside. Then the employee who bagged my food threw it on the counter and walked away without looking at me. Another lady behind me walked inside to order and no less than four Jacks employees saw her standing there and didn't greet her or take her order so she walked out. They need to close the lobby again at this location. If they don't know how to treat customers properly, we shouldn't be subject to your poor people skills and arguing amongst your co-workers. read more

It's fast food, so it's not like I'm reviewing five star fare here, but for what you expect of Jack's this location is on point. Always very clean on the inside, and the employees always friendly. Fast service. The few times I've had an issue with my order they've been able to resolve it quickly and with no fuss. It's rare that I'm impressed with fast food, but these employees really do make all the difference. Just a quick note about Jack's in general... I like that they keep the menu relatively small. Too many fast food establishments these days seem to want to be a jack-of-all-trades instead of just perfecting what they've got. Great job, guys! Keep it up! read more

Grilled chicken was under cooked. The girl named Maryanne was very rude over the intercom. I asked for my order total and to repeat it back before I got to the window to pay for it. She said it wouldn't be available til I pulled up the window. Upon asking the gentlemen her name at the window, she leans over and yells, "What's wrong why do you want to know my name! That's just odd, sniffed her dark brown hair and rolled eyes and asked me to pull forward because the chicken wasn't cooked. Then to get home and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way! He was slow, he fouled up the order, and he topped it off by sticking his fingers down in our cups when he handed them to us The food was way below the normal Jack's standard. The Jack's on Argo Parkway in Trussville is awwwwweful!!! I purchased a side salad and it had mold, yes "MOLD" on the tomatoes and the lettuce was old as well. All the manager did was take the salad back and give me another one, she could've comped the salad it was only $2.11. Then I went in today to give them another try. I've always received great service from this location except today. I understand today's Christmas Eve and everyone wants to go home and see their loved ones, but if your open and working the shift be respectful. My pregnant wife stopped by today 5:50-5:53 P.M. to order some dinner for a few people who were visiting out of town at our home. The lady working the drive thru or at least handing the food to the paying customers decided she would cuss and chew my wife out because they were having to serve her after 6:00 P.M. when they closed. She told my wife they wanted to get home to their families like she didn't already know this and after my wife apologized. She then left out two of the orders that my wife had ordered. Like I've stated, we have always had great service here but today of all days was one of the worst experiences. She then went on to tell my wife she was quitting because she just couldn't handle this job.
