My husband and I did the 2 hour horseback ride. Oh, it was so wonderful. Our guide, Rachael, was so awesome! She was very knowledge about the land and gave a great tour. She was so helpful and patient with me...I have little to no experience with horses but greatly enjoyed myself!! It was a walking ride so if you're looking for something else, sadly you'll have to look elsewhere. After the ride we went up to the lodges grill... Oh boy! The service was great. This lodge was absolutely fantastic. The view is absolutely unbeatable from the main deck. Most rooms do not have views, but they are very nice. Upon arrival, the rooms were spotless and everything we could have hoped for. The location is prime for moose watching. In one day, we saw two from the restaurant which we ate at. The dining area has 3 options, all that seemed good and varied to cater to your budget. Overall, it was reasonably priced for the location, great rooms, and amazing view. read more

Here's the thing with lodging here, you're paying a premium for staying inside the park and perhaps for the majestic Grand Tetons view from the inside of the main lodge building. We paid $332/night for our 2 queens cottage room. It was fine, just really dark inside the cottage, a little cramped and somewhat dated. There are no views of the Tetons from the cottages, only from the main lodge rooms which are smaller and even more expensive than the cottage. The dining options here are "okay": a diner (no views to speak of), a high priced restaurant and a breakfast cart. Not bad options but I think one could do better staying in Jackson Hole and make the drive in to the Grand Tetons for day trips. Better value lodging and food options there. For our 9-day, 6 different hotels road trip, this was my least favorite place to stay. read more

We stayed in a patio cottage facing the horse corrals. Way OVERPRICED accommodations. Room was clean, but was very outdated. We had much nicer rooms in Yellowstone for less. They do have one of the best views in the lounge & dining room. So, come for breakfast or for a cocktail. You can still enjoy the view that way. If visiting Yellowstone, stay in Yellowstone with better accommodations & more convenience. Else, stay in one of the towns just outside the park. If visiting the Grand Tetons, stay in Jackson & drive into the park. It's less than 1 hour drive, depending on where you go. Just not worth paying for the overpriced room. read more

Extremely over priced for the accommodations. Rooms were nearly over $350 for one night. There was no fridge, microwave or TV. Breakfast was not included. Wifi was horrible. We were not delighted with the presentation of the room or the area, and nicely asked for a refund, and was granted guarantee to do so, and then a few hours later when we checked back to continue the refund process, they took back what they had originally said, and would not allow a refund whatsoever ... very disappointed! read more

The views were awesome, the staff is amazing, however, much needs improved. The food is overpriced for the quality, I paid $50 for a steak that was worst than what I could get at Longhorn Steakhouse for a fraction of the price. The rooms need updated, but we were hardly In our room anyway. That being said you can beat the view of the mountains and the staff. I see reviews criticizing this lodge because there's no spa or exercise room. Folks, this is a National Park Lodge. The entire park is your exercise room! Someone else said it was too far from Yellowstone. That's because it's in Grand Teton National Park, not Yellowstone National Park. Stay in Yellowstone if you want to be near Yellowstone. They have two great lodges. However, Yellowstone is only 10 miles from Grand Teton, so it is a wonderful day trip from Jackson Lake Lodge. read more

OVERPRICED, DIRTY, AND DATED A terrible hotel. Hasn't been updated since the 1950 - no TV, no air conditioning, no security (even a password) for the Internet. The shower fixtures were falling off the wall and the bathtub was filthy. The overpriced restaurant was fit for a vegan or mountain man. The menu consisted of bison, wild boar and lentils. An older couple came in and sat down at the next table. They put the napkin on their lap, sipped some water, looked at the menu, and got up and left. They were wiser than we were. I ordered mushroom soup. It consisted of chicken broth with floating mushrooms and fettuccini noodles. The park service should allow the Marriott, Hilton, Holliday Inn, or Hyatt to build a rustic lodge in the park. Till then, sleep outside the park or try Jenny Lake Lodge. read more

Do you like MOLD? We were given a room where the was mold along the ceiling drywall in the bathroom. It appeared to have been previously painted over (instead of properly dealt with). When I told the staff of the situation, they transferred us to a smaller, inferior room in the lodge & offered nothing else. I deem it to be completely unacceptable to expect guests to pay $250/night & stay in a room with a health hazard. I wouldn't have paid anything to stay in that room. FIVE stars for the view from the lodge - sunrise or sunset. The only thing I missed was my inability to step on to the balcony (because it was chilly for my skin - Northerners, please do not laugh!) and to view the night sky for astrophotography. The view is the incomparable based on my limited experience (I've lived in south-central Texas for nearly thirty-five years and occasionally travelled to other mountainous regions). The common areas of the Lodge are great and equivalent in some respects to other National Park/Monument facilities. The food options, as usual, have pros and cons. Above all, I fully understand that I am not seeking an urban hotel experience. Use local sunrise/sunset timings to setup your photo shots. The peaks reflect a soft-rose color during sunrise. Signal Mountain summit has direct views for sunrise but the views of the Teton Range are filtered by the trees. read more

Great location and all the amenities you need: pool, restaurants, etc. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and informative. The cottages have minor updates, and clean linens. However the bathroom is in need of a deep cleaning. There was a heavy mildew and just plain old dirty smell. Bathtub grout extremely dirty, and tub was clogged. The website compares rooms to upscale hotels, but the upscale hotels I've stayed at have much better smelling bathrooms. read more

Stayed here two nights with three different rooms. Room 1: Within 10 minutes of moving our stuff into the room we noticed a clawing sound in the wall. I get that we're in the wilderness but they need to stay out of the room. So we asked for another room. They moved us two rooms over Room 2: The heating system could never keep the room warming than the low 60s (i'm guessing). We stopped at the desk to tell them of the problem when we headed to the lodge for dinner. Maintenance looked at it while we were eating. When we got back to the room it was warmer but not warm enough. To sit in the room you needed a sweatshirt to be comfortable. Bathroom floor was not exactly clean and they provided no drinking water glasses or coffee mugs. We stayed in that room for one night and then requested a room where the heat actually worked. Room 3: Heat actually worked in this room but lacked coffee mugs. Front desk apologized for the troubles and said they would "do something" for us. The "something" was to offer us coupons for milkshakes!?!?!? Really?!??! The outside temps were in the low 40s at best, we've had issues with heat in the room and you're offering us milkshake coupons?!?!?!? read more

This review is for the Mural Room, where we had lunch on a Thursday afternoon. While the food is standard National Park hotel fare, the service was excellent, and the view of the Tetons was worth the visit alone. They'll tell you themselves, "Some say the panoramic views of the Teton Range from the Mural Dining Room at Jackson Lake Lodge are the finest in any National Park," and I have to imagine that's true. It's why we chose that spot, and we weren't disappointed. In some ways, lunch was really an afterthought. read more

SO OVERPRICED, IT IS RIDICULOUS...STAY AWAY!!! The lodge here is beautiful, but that is where it ends!! The lodge is not in any way close to Jackson Lake OR the Tetons. There is absolutely nothing around the lodge at all! The room they put us in was supposed to have a view of the Tetons, but it only had a meadow view...they said that they do not allow Expedia clients to get the view rooms!!! The room was so dirty that we said they needed to send someone up to clean it before we would settle in. The gentleman that came up said that they do not take any pride at all in keeping the rooms clean!!! At $370 per night, it is terribly overpriced. It wasn't worth $100. They offer nothing in the rooms. No TV, phone, internet, coffee maker, etc. etc. We had booked 2 nights, but were so disgusted with the room that we informed Expedia about it and Expedia called the Lodge and demanded they let us out of the second night. Which they did. We spoke to others in the lounge that evening and they had so many more problems than we did! The previous night they ran out of Propane, so they couldn't serve any meals! Then the next night they had a kitchen fire and couldn't serve meals again! And there is nowhere else to go!! The hotel cannot serve meals to all of the people that they book into the rooms, so there is a long wait when they are serving food. So most people were complaining about that, or the overpriced rooms. We were on an 18 day road trip and were so excited about staying at this lodge. But it turned out to be a nightmare. I literally just checked in to my cottage and am absolutely unimpressed. For $300/per night, my room is awful even for inside the park. They really need to show pictures of the rooms that weren't renovated just for the website. My room smells like 20 year old elk taint. Might as well camp in a tent, at least you get fresh air. Haven't had time to check out the views they advertise but you don't have to pay to look out their windows. I swear all these people giving rave reviews work for this place or something. read more

Spectacular setting. Great ambiance and grounds. Very expensive! WiFi only in the main lodge in the great room. Unfortunately the cleaning personnel are integrity challenged. I accidentally left my power source for my laptop in the main lodge great room late in the evening. I was about the last one to leave for the night. FYI: there are no TVs, refrigerators or A/C in the rooms. Our family stayed here one night. It was convenient to stay in the park however, I would not stay here again. Our room did not have air conditioning. It was hot in our room. I had to get up in the middle of the night to open windows. We live on a farm so we open our windows at night in the summer. However I did not feel safe sleeping here with the windows open as we are on the ground floor. (There is no second floor). When I moved the curtain, I could smell and feel the dust. The curtains are way over due on dry cleaning. The ceiling fan had a layer of dust which you can see along the blades edges. We could also see a dusty spider web running from the ceiling to the fan. Even the coffee maker had dust inside it! We had to buy our coffee in the morning as it grossed me out to use the coffee maker in the room. In the morning we had to purchase coffee, $3.52 for 16 oz.) in the lobby. The counters and floors were clean. It was like the room had just had a quick cleaning between guests but has not had a good spring cleaning in a very very long time. For the price we paid, our room should have been clean. I can live without a tv as we don't subscribe to cable or satalite at home and don't watch tv much but a refrigerator would have been nice as we had lunch meat in our cooler to keep cool. Thankfully the ice maker was close by so we kept ice in the cooler. At check out they charged us another $2.43 for utilities. At check in and check out they asked if we wanted to make a $1 donation to the park. We declined both times. We paid $359.64 for one night with tax plus the $2.43 for utilities plus $7.04 for coffee for 2. I would not stay here again. read more

We stayed here during a road trip across the U.S. during the summer of 2014. We were very disappointed in our cabin. It was out-dated, musky and had no A.C. - definitely not worth the price. Do yourself a favor and drive a little farther to stay outside of the park in Jackson Hole. read more

The best part of this place is the view of the mountains and the proximity to wild life. The first time I stayed here I had a moose outside my cabin. The second time I stayed here I had a bear run by our cabin. It is quiet and clean. However the amenities are lacking, no TV in the cabins, no microwave or mini-fridge either. This was hard as we had been camping the week prior and had to keep refilling our cooler with ice and had no way of preparing our food. We actually used our jet boiler to make coffee and oatmeal. The food is average. We ate at the bar and diner. Overall, I think it is worth the cost but I do think it is very expensive for what it is. read more

Some have posted that this is a pricey place and yes, it is a little, but we had never been to Yellowstone and felt it was worth it. We weren't disappointed. Got a cabin close to the pool (that was very clean, not sure if it was updated or not but it certainly was nice) which was great for the kids. The food at the pool is great and the kids that work there are all very nice. We actually talked with some that were there on their day off and it was fun to hear where they were all from. For sure go up and enjoy the view upstairs. The first night there weren't any tables available on the de k and kids aren't allowed in the lounge so a wonderful young lady, Meriam, offered for us to sit in the lobby and serve us there. We had the big huge comfortable couch right smack dab in the middle of the windows so got to enjoy the food and some delicious cocktails (try the huckleberry lemonade!) while playing cards and enjoying the incredible view!! The next night we got a table on the deck (I highly recommend putting on lots of sun screen and maybe wearing a hat, the sun, as beautiful as it is, is a little brutal out there before sunset) and were again very impressed with the food and service. I loved that they are eco friendly!! If you opted not to have housekeeping come while you are staying, you get $5 a day off your bill AND a reusable Grand Teton bad with 2 reusable water bottles in it!! We would DEFINITELY stay here again!! read more

We were also stunned by their unusual and unethical cancellation policy. None of the other parks we've visited have this kind of fleecing policy: $30 per room to cancel regardless of how much in advance one does it. Definitely runs counter to the spirit of the national parks. read more

It is certainly a good location for those who wish to stay inside a National Park that offers a variety of restaurants to choose from. The view from lodge is spectacular and worth the price of two nights' stay but other than that, unless you prefer quiet nights, Jackson is a good closeby option. read more

I think it's overpriced for what you get. No AC and the buildings could be freshened up a bit. What sets this place apart is the pool - kids LOVED it after a week of hiking and the service. The rooms were small but nice. Had lots of room for parking and the view from the hotel was perfect. A couple of things I didn't like were the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there and they charge $5 for cleaning your room. I loved our 2-night stay at JLL! We had a small cabin just a short walk from the lodge. Our room was very simple but clean and comfortable. I slept so well. It was very quiet and peaceful. Stay in the park! Enjoy the amazing views of the Grand Tetons and Jackson Lake. read more

The location is perfect and the staff is incredibly helpful. Drinks in the bar were great. The small batch, local bourbon was delicious. When you come to the Tetons you marvel over the view and are excited to start your adventure there but when we saw the room we were very disappointed. To start there was a large stain on the green bed cover. It clearly was not washed recently. When pulling back the covers I found brown liquid stains on my fitted sheets as well as a lot of hair that was not my own. The other bed in the room had the hair but no stains. The ceiling fan was held together with duct tape and the valance was heavily stained from what looked like a ceiling leak. The tub hadn't been cleaned as there were black marks and the shower curtain was not up! It was folded on the room divider. The hotel book that includes things to do was on its very last legs and the level of dust was not reasonable. I can't even exaggerate as this is all true!! Pictures included! The airport shuttle we were supposed to have didn't arrive so we had to call three more times to have success there. Yes the view is great but the hotel itself needs to focus on cleanliness first!! read more

Location. Location. Location. Perfectly located inside Grand Teton NP and 20 mins away from the south entrance of Yellowstone. That said, rooms have not been updated since the 70s and don't have TVs, although there is a somewhat weak wifi signal available. This was not much of an issue because we were there for nature and the scenery but some might want this to unwind after a day of touring (or to appease kids). The restaurant options on site were nice: fine dining, diner style and a pub with bar food. We did all three places and food was what was to be expected at each. Service is another matter, all park staff are volunteers so don't expect truly professional service at any of the restaurants though it was OK. We would stay here again. read more
