Jackson Market's description doesn't even come close to capturing what this place really is. Yes, it's a neighborhood market and deli, but step into the back patio and it feels like you've stumbled into something entirely different. The garden is lush and overflowing with greenery, dotted with comfortable seating and the gentle sound of water fountains. It's the kind of space that invites you to slow down and dream a little. There's a quiet magic to it that's hard to explain but easy to feel. The sandwich counter is excellent and absolutely worth it, and if you have the time, ordering a wood-fired pizza and enjoying it out in the garden is the move. The espresso drinks don't quite match the level of the food, but honestly, that's not why you come here. This is a place to decompress, to reset, to breathe. I come here as often as I can and every time, it feels like stepping into a little hidden world.

Talk about hidden - this market is nestled in a residential area, right on the street with all the houses and apartments (which can make parking a bit of an issue). Inside you can choose from all kinds of groceries, sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast too. Ordering is fast and easy but can have a wait depending on what time you are there. We usually take our stuff to go, but you can walk in the back where they have a great chill spot with lots of seating. The portions and prices are what you would expect. Great choices (or make your own) but it's the Italian Sub for me with a great ration of bread/meat/etc as one of my go to places when in Culver City. Quick tip - Do NOT miss the pizza they have in the back area. It is SUPER FRESH and delicious!!

This is a really cute spot in Culver City. Parking can be a bit of a challenge because there isn't dedicated parking and it's in the middle of a neighborhood. We ended up parking in the structure down the street and walking over, which worked out fine. Once inside, you fill out a form, pay for it and then had it to the deli to make your sandwich/wrap. I loved that you can fully customize your wraps and sandwiches and there's so many fresh ingredients to choose from. I built my own veggie wrap, and it was delicious. The veggies were really fresh. The outdoor seating area in the back is beautiful and surprisingly peaceful. It feels like a little garden getaway tucked behind the market. Food also got out to us pretty quickly. My husband tried the pizza that was being served and made in the back. It was okay, but nothing special. I definitely preferred my wrap over the slice I tried. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality and atmosphere make it worth visiting every now and then.

Hidden gem nestled in a cute neighborhood! It looks so small and then there's a beautiful, lush and very large casual patio outside. Seems that they do wood fired pizzas occasionally. Unfortunately, they were not serving it when I was there. I loved that I could customize a sandwich, wrap or salad and it was all boars head selections. They had a little cafe section for coffee and great selection of cold deli items (I.e. pasta salad, potato salad, etc.) and chips and sweets. Loved the variety! Will be back.

LA rarely gives you a true "third place" -- somewhere to just exist. The backyard at Jackson Market and Deli is one of those rare spots. Lush plants, trickling water, chill people -- perfect for a quiet afternoon with a friend. Food is simple, all disposable -- real plates would be a nice touch.

I stumbled upon this gem on a random Saturday. I was craving a fresh deli sandwich, and I found just that here at Jackson Market and Deli. What caught my eye was this small building surrounded by greenery in the middle of a neighborhood. I was able to find parking right in front as I noticed someone leaving, but I am sure parking can be difficult as the street was packed full of vehicles. When my best friend and I walked inside we were greeted immediately. We were directed to ordering station where you fill out a form to build your own sandwich. From the variety of breads, meats, and toppings you can put together a delicious sandwich. While we waited for our sandwich to be made, we walked around the market. I was amazed by all the different drink and food options available. Of course I had to partake and purchase some extra items! Once our names were called and we paid for our sandwiches we noticed people walking out the back of the building and we followed. Wow! the courtyard is absolutely stunning. The perfect set up to study or even have a nice date. Unfortunately, there was no available tables, so we walked around in hopes of finding a place to sit. We did find an open table right in front of the deli. It was still a beautiful scenery and the California sun shining just made it better. Now let's talk about the deli sandwich. One bite in and I knew I would be coming back! This is exactly what a deli sandwich should taste like fresh and layered. It was also pretty huge but somehow, I manage to finish the entire sandwich. My friend was very impressed as well. The next time I am craving a deli sandwich I know exactly where to go. Thank you Jackson Market and Deli :)

So, this is considered a hidden gem. Not many people know about Jackson Market except for locals and people who really scour social media to find unique places. Jackson Market is a middle eastern deli/market/cafe located in a residential neighborhood of Culver City. They are known for their sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, and brunch items but famously known for their beautiful and lush outdoor patio dining area. If your vibe is backyard patio transformed into a secret garden, you'll absolutely fall in love with this place. There are sections where you can either dine with others or be by yourself. Each section has a unique setting. You can also order pizza and coffee drinks outside, too! The service is usually fast, even during the lunch rush. I waited 10 minutes for my customized sandwich, which is not bad. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. To order, you need to fill out a slip and I didn't know that coming in for the first time. I really appreciate the staff member who took the time out to make sure I filled the sheet in correctly. I love bringing friends and family here to give them such a beautiful experience they would never forget.

Been a regular for the past 10 years. I used to always get the caprese panini but then 2025 I started ordering the eggplant. Now that I'm vegan mid-2025 to current, I build my own sandwich. The ingredients are always fresh. There's plenty of seating and sometimes it's full, so luckily Jackson market has the lot next door to enjoy your meal and also the park across the street. The customer service is friendly. It does take minimum 15 minutes for a sandwich to be prepared on the weekend. I'm too scared to come during the week. I feel like it gets busy from Sony. I love how the business is intentional and aligns on the correct side of history. I always forget to order the pizza on the weekends bc i love their sandwiches. Would appreciate more plant based protein options like fake turkey slices, tofu, tempeh or falafel!

This place is so cute, total hidden gem!! Only street parking available but it's not too bad. The inside is a small market where you fill out a paper sheet and submit your orders. Then when it's ready you pick up and pay! Omelette was fresh and delicious and the salad comes with balsamic / oil dressing. Would come back to try the paninis and the pizzas (only Friday - Sunday starting at 11:30am)

April 29, 2025 | Culver City: What a beautiful & delicious find! Nestled in between colorful homes in a sweet neighborhood, you will find Jackson Market! Lush greenery, along with the sights & sounds of water flowing from water fountains surrounds the serene back patio, where friends & I also saw two squirrels playing about in the trees! Sandwich | Melanzane: Imagine a Rustic Roll with Grilled Eggplant, fresh mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, nut-free pesto and garlic aïoli piled in between both sides of the bread of a delicious sandwich! It's definitely a flavorful combo! While, I couldn't eat the entire sandwich in one sitting, later on when I had the cold version, I enjoyed it even more!! Back Patio: When you arrive at the restaurant, you pass a few tables and chairs on the front patio! As you walk inside, you walk-through the grocery store! As you continue walking, you'll be amazed when reaching the back patio(I gasped!), as you began to hear the running water from the fountains, lush greenery all around you, and a calming, relaxing vibe, which friends & I enjoyed! We even saw two cute little squirrels playing about in the trees, having a great time! Hahaha! Inside | Store: It's a grocery store where you will discover unique finds! Ordering Process: Be sure to grab the right form, as you began to check all of the items you want to order! Thanks again to the friendly Chef and customer beside me who both pointed out the correct form when I realized that I wasn't finding the item I wanted to order from the menu! Haha! Customer Service: Super friendly! Overall: Yes, I'll definitely be back to enjoy the serene vibes, as well as try even more items on the menu! Let's go!

Freshly made sandwiches and the perfect back patio to enjoy, I couldn't ask for anything more. I made my own for $15.99, and it was loaded with fresh, generous toppings. The honey and black peppered ham with garlic aioli? So flavorful. Even though not everything I asked for was included, my sandwich was still phenomenal. The market is hidden, tucked within the neighborhood. It's as if the market was converted from a home to business. Street parking is available. A few tables for indoor seating and plenty shaded ones outside. The back is a shared space with a pizzeria and neighboring private homes. Their backyard is lush with soo many greens, a koi pond, mini waterfall, and lots of seating for larger parties.

Jackson Market is hiding in plain sight in a residential part of Culver City. In the front, it's a market with an attached deli. Behind that, there is a cozy backyard where you can hang out and even order freshly-baked pizzas. We tried three of these pizzas: sausage party ($21), very veggie ($19), and fungi bianco ($26). My favorite, which I highly recommend, was the fungi bianco, which comes with three cheeses and two types of mushrooms. This is the definition of a hidden gem, and it's one you'll want to check out.

    Do they have halal options?

Yes. Some of the chicken items are halal on the everyday menu (you can confirm with the staff). They have more halal options in Ramadan

    Yes, they have wifi

Are there outlets anywhere in the outside seating area so I can work on my laptop?

Yes, at least one, kind of in the middle by a tree.

Are gluten free desserts offered here made with nut free flours?

Short answer, yes. But that's because gluten is a protein from oats: wheat, barley & rye-like plants. Not peanuts or tree-nuts!… Read more

    Is this place pet friendly?

Yes, I've seen dogs outside at the table but not inside the market. It's kinda tight to have animals in it and there are products all around the store some even low level which aren't really ideal for small children or animals.

Guess what they wanted as soon as they touched down? You got it! Sorrento's Italian Market here in Culver City! Now supposedly over the weekend they're going to make up for their surprise and lack of common courtesy by taking me to some nice restaurant apparently! I'll believe it when I see it. Settled on some hard salami and the sheer smell that emanates from the market. You've heard of or better yet even witnessed the smell that emanates from Pirates of the Caribbean? Well, Sorrento's market has its own unforgettable smell, and it usually winds up in a net gain of about 5 to 10 lb for your waistline. So other than some hard salami, I was sure to get the you know what out of here quickly! But do come by folks! Come from near and come from afar. My family just came from New Orleans (which happens to be the 1st city-yeah even before New York...that saw Sicilians specifically bring their great cuisine to this land) and the first thing they wanted was some hard salami from Sorrento's 2,000 miles away! Lol The spirit of Sorrento's market lives on through current owner Albert Vera Jr, who continues to do his father, mother, and the city of Culver City proud. It's not Culver City if there's not a Vera somewhere, somehow.
