Deeply impressed with this spot both ambiance and variety. Hard to convince me food quality wise to love something more than bay cities but it just MIGHT take the cake. Jackson market as a whole in terms of ambiance, variety, taste definitely overtakes bay cities but if you're just talking about comparing food quality sand which to sand which it will be a tough TIE (it's not less) than bay cities. Bay cities is loaded and so is Jackson but bay cities is a little more juicier where the inside sandwich ingredients shine more and you can definitely taste each of the ingredients eg banana peppers meats deli cheese etc. Jackson market's Italian sub had harder bread but I could see like some would argue it's more balanced. It definitely is a little less juicy and even though there were complimentary banana peppers I hardly tasted it at all as it was sprinkled far and few. If you paid for an added topping eg. Jalepenos they were definitely generous with it. Tip: DO NOT get the French baguette toasted as it'll be too hard. The market is fun because it also offers wine selections ($20-$60), not a fun cheese selection like bay cities, pasta salad, bomb tiramisu, has an entire PIZZA OVEN in the back, fun canned drinks including GUAYABA (an aloe tasting like drink), pastries, and chips/snacks. Ambiance - the patio in the back is spacious and big. They don't allow you to bring a computer to work there and the WiFi and service is pretty bad there. Parking - street parking along residential homes 2 subs ($14.99/each), 2 drinks, 1 large chip ($4.95) came out to be around $44. Overall an amazing find. This was a random choice today. I Googled sandwiches near me, and Jackson Market popped up. I have passed the place many times, unaware that it is a deli/pizza joint. It's tucked away in a residential neighborhood and parking can get a little tight. When I walked in, it was a little confusing because I did not see any clear directions on how to place my order. I asked another customer who appeared to have been there before and he guided me to this counter with paper that had menu items on it. You have to checkmark the ingredients you want on your sandwich or whatever you're ordering. I wanted an Italian sub, I wasn't sure if I should check off ingredients for an Italian sub, or if just checking Italian sub and the type of bread I wanted would get me a sub with the standard ingredients for an Italian sub. The sub was definitely not what I expected, it was dry and flavorless. I wanted extra onions, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and extra mayonnaise. None of those ingredients were present, and there was no clear way for me to make the request because it's nearly impossible to interact with the people preparing the food. When it was all said and done, I would definitely not order an Italian sub from here again. Definitely organized chaos! Or, just unorganized depending on how you look at it. It all just appeared to be a little chaotic. I also grabbed some tuna and watermelon, which was a refrigerated section in plastic containers. I ordered the tuna because it listed onions and celery as two of the main ingredients I look for in tuna. The tuna was dry and flavorless. I will need to add more celery, onions, mayonnaise, salt and pepper with a few other ingredients, which means I could have made it myself. I also ordered watermelon, which was not sweet, it tasted like it was cut too close to the rind. I'm still not sure how I feel about Jackson Market. Based on some of the responses from the owners, I don't think I would return. I don't understand why we can't come to a platform like Yelp and give our honest opinion without the owners responding so harshly, instead of taking the criticism and using it to their advantage, or not. Ordered ahead via their website. The ordering process inside is grab a paper at the counter and place it back. Then wait. The checkout process is unorganized during the lunch and weekend rush. The customer service is friendly. I usually get the build your own veggie and add every free topping. I wish they had veggie protein options such as tofu, black beans (or even black bean paste), or falafels. They do have plain hummus and cheese for protein but that hits like 2 grams. There's a patio that's cute and encourages community. There's also the property next door that is a pond which has some tables and chairs if there's an overflow or you're introverted. Sometimes we go to the park around the corner since there's shade. Sandwiches are about $12-$18 depending on on what you add. read more

Walking into this very well kept market I suddenly felt the urge to buy all items in sight. There are flowers for sale, juices, food items and all the best things a market can offer. Met with a warm greeting from staff I feel already inclined to come back sooner rather than later. I met a friend for sandwich, I enjoyed the Reuben and I am blown away. All of my tastebuds danced at the first bite. You fill out a sheet that is left near the counter by the menu's to either build your own or select one of the signature dishes. Note, they do also have Halal options which is a HUGE plus! Their Deli menu is meant to be enjoyed by all, handful of vegetarian options as well. I'd recommend extra toasted love to any sandwich or panini as it is an option on the sheet you fill out. Stepping into the back patio lounge area, there are many tables and seating places to choose from. Theres almost a sense of peace and serenity you experience while in the patio. Theres koi fish, shaded areas and a very cool pizza station! Plenty of seating, I noticed there was a late morning rush but there was still plenty of room for all to sit and enjoy the summer weather. My only side note that may deter people wanting to visit, parking may be hard to find given that this Market place is splat in the middle of a residential part of Culver City. A fun little neighborhood market. Get your snack on they've got fresh fruits, chips , candies, nuts , baked goods enough to satisfy. staff was super friendly. Ordered an iced vanilla chai while waiting and it wasn't bad. When you first walk in you're greeted with fresh flowers. No one is rushing you to hurry up and leave. My husband brought me to Jackson Market for the first time in October 2023. It was part of a date day he had planned since we were long distance at the time. I love the array of picnic foods, snacks, and drinks available, as well as the regular sandwich and salad menu. I don't think I've ever gotten anything else besides the melanzane (eggplant) panini. My husband loves their pizza, but we always forget which days they fire up the pizza oven in the back area. When I moved to LA the following year, it became the "hidden gem" spot we would take out-of-town guests. We love the lush greenery, running water fountains, and Edison lights in the back area. It makes you feel as if you are in someone's backyard and can cozy up to work or read a book. It is wild to see how quickly they've expanded in the past three years, particularly with Airbnbs within the space. With that though, it has generated a crowd and impacted our past couple experiences there: getting a seat/table has become increasingly difficult (if you're more than a party of 2), even though I know they've been trying to expand seating options and tried implementing a "no laptop" policy so there might be more table turnovers. Talk about hidden - this market is nestled in a residential area, right on the street with all the houses and apartments (which can make parking a bit of an issue). Inside you can choose from all kinds of groceries, sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast too. Ordering is fast and easy but can have a wait depending on what time you are there. Lovely little market nestled in a cute residential neighborhood in Culver City. I had lunch here with some friends and had a great time sitting out on the gorgeously green patio. The market itself has so many different offerings and I can imagine it is a great one stop shop for the locals. Food orders are taken on little slips of paper and placed in a tray for the deli workers to take and prepare. To eat, I had a chicken salad sandwich on a sourdough baguette and I really enjoyed my food! The chicken salad had a great sweet flavor with apples and cranberries, and it was very creamy with big pieces of chicken. The produce was fresh as well. They were also offering complementary water which I really appreciated with this heat... Workers were friendly and it was a pretty smooth process despite being packed! The patio is pretty large and there's a good amount of seating available. They also have a pizza oven out there where you can order freshly made pizza! This is a really cute spot in Culver City. Parking can be a bit of a challenge because there isn't dedicated parking and it's in the middle of a neighborhood. We ended up parking in the structure down the street and walking over, which worked out fine. Once inside, you fill out a form, pay for it and then had it to the deli to make your sandwich/wrap. I loved that you can fully customize your wraps and sandwiches and there's so many fresh ingredients to choose from. I built my own veggie wrap, and it was delicious. The veggies were really fresh. The outdoor seating area in the back is beautiful and surprisingly peaceful. It feels like a little garden getaway tucked behind the market. Food also got out to us pretty quickly. My husband tried the pizza that was being served and made in the back. It was okay, but nothing special. I definitely preferred my wrap over the slice I tried. I had to enter 1 in order to move forward with review.. I work at Sony Studios blocks away from Jackson Market, and have been a patron for years, ordered food for large work lunches. I have noticed a decrease in friendliness in the last year or so, with at times feeling as if an order for breakfast or lunch night be an imposition. This morning an order was placed for breakfast.. pancakes, 2 fried eggs over medium and bacon. The cook was not friendly and again I felt like I was an imposition. The quality of food is not what it was before, the staff is not who they were before, and my breakfast this morning was the worst food experience I have had. It was awful, stained. Urned pancakes from a grill that was not cleaned and dirty looking eggs. Nothing about today's experience positive, I'm done, and I'll let my cohort and production folks be aware of this experience. Jackson Market is such a cute gem. I love that it's a little deli store in a residential neighborhood. It's a little incognito and I never would have found it if my friend who lives down the street hadn't recommended it. The sandwiches and wraps are great. You can customize everything so it's exactly how you'd like it. They have a nice selection of snacks from different countries (eg. TimTams from Australia) and they're the only place here I've found Ellenos yogurt from Seattle (my favorite). On certain days they have pizza out back. I always tend to miss this. The last time I came I made sure it was a pizza day but they closed early so I wasn't lucky. It's still on my list to try their pizza. They also ran out of bread for sandwiches so I had to do a wrap. Still delicious. What makes this place the best is that they have an outdoor area in the back. It's a beautiful garden and so relaxing. Cute spot, decent food, but the employees who work here...maybe because I came early and they weren't quite awake yet. Felt like they were zombies... I wanted to walk around the market to take a look before deciding. I ended up getting a sandwich and a coffee. You order the sandwich by filling out a sandwich order form (to minimize interactions with their zombie employees, although the woman who was making the sandwich was also the only one who was friendly to me).
