Live close by and play the 18 hole, par 3 courses, and the driving fairly often. It's great to finally have a driving range as there isn't many close by to that area and its nice and fairly priced. The 18 hole course is pretty good, challenging, but not completely in the best shape. There are some areas I wish they would focus on and improve. It would really help the look and quality of play. Biggest reason I only give it the rating is the par 3. I've played it a ton and they constantly have signs and markings where they need to repair, but this entire summer nothing has been done and seems to only have gotten worse!! If Jackson golf sees this, please do some work on that course. The mats you tee off on are worn out, fairways have bad patches where you are hitting off dirt, and some of the greens have big chucks of grass missing so your putting off straight dirt. Overall I will play here but it would be nice to see improvements and see that they care about improving the course. read more

The course layout is actually quite interesting, but the course itself is kept in pretty terrible condition. A lot of the holes have huge dry spots with dirt and wet mud (if it's rained) on the fairways, which makes hitting a clean shot much harder. Divots aren't replaced, even overnight, as we were the third group to go out in the morning and I hit more than a couple shots that landed in divots. The greens are nice and well-maintained, but that's the only part of the course that's any good. It sounds like this course played better a few months ago, but it's pretty sad that in peak season, it is in such awful condition. I was very disappointed, especially when I compare it to Jefferson, which I've found to be a much better course overall. read more

An OK place to spend the afternoon with your child who likes to golf. I wouldn't take people from out of town here. Just too run down. It does have a par3 on the premises which is OK for the amount of money you pay, but again... Old, rundown, not well maintained. read more

The worst golf course I've played in years within Seattle. $60 for scotch tape, divot driven, over saturated greens, is not worth your time. Extremely disappointed and won't be going back again. Not to mention the starter claimed the first tee was a dog-leg left...sorry, wut? read more

I'm in the men's club here and it's very active with many activities but for as much as this course is played, its in horrible condition. The course is very difficult and could be one of the best around, but being a Seattle owned course, you rarely ever see any maintenance personnel. Several of the greens are diseased and dieing and they rely on members of the men's club to trim the trees for them. The clubhouse is unspectacular to say the least but the range is amazing although severely underused. If they could pull in 1/4 of what Interbay does it would be a great atmosphere. It seems Jackson put all their $ into a new range but haven't figured out how to market it yet. I'd just head 20 minutes north and play one of the many Snohomish county courses that have less of the Seattle bureaucracy to deal with. read more

Hey, its a pretty good place to play golf. It may not be all as amazing as Snoqualmie Ridge or Desert Canyon or Bear Mountain or those other fancy places. But its convient, and its a good place to play golf. They have a clubhouse with good food, a nine hole course, and a 18 hole course. the waits here are unbearably long. there is no ranger, or if there is, all he/she does is nothing. i really love golfing, but a 6 hour round is unbearable, waiting for every @#$! shot. worst of all, the other day i was 2 min early for a 7:15 am tee time, and the jerkoff kid in the proshop cancelled my tee time and copped a $hithead attitude about it. i mean, jesus h. bald-headed christ, you guys pack the course so tight that i have to wait on every single hole, but then you cancel my tee time because i'm 2 min early instead of 15? dude, it's not my fault if you don't like your job. i didn't pick it for you. maybe you need to go to remedial pro shop school to learn customer service. anyway, Todd at Jefferson Park was able to squeeze me and my friend in 45 min later when Jerky McJackass at Jackson told me the earliest he'd let us on was 9:45. the course itself is all right. not bad for a muni, but west seattle has nicer views and a higher slope rating. jefferson is cool cuz that's where Freddy Couples used to jump the fence to sneak on when he was a kid. read more

This was a beautiful lush golf course located about 10-15 minutes north of Seattle. The course offers rolling fairways and well kept greens. The elevation changes on the course make for challenging play. The price is reasonable and especially low during twilight. I will be returning for many more rounds in the future. This one of 4 muni courses in the Seattle. The course is not in the best shape. This course is very crowded, and the course shows it. Fairways are a little chewed up, and the greens are in decent shape. This is good course for beginners. But due to the amount of traffic this course sees a beginner may not be able to play at a comfortable pace. Staff is nice, but this is not the best muni course in the area. I recommend West Seattle. read more

The changes made over the last few years are adapting rather well in my opinion. The ninth green is very challenging. The risk reward on #10 is fun. Switching up 8 and 16, I think, is working out. Played there yesterday and it was great. 4 stars because the greens were rather slow for this time of the year. read more

We held my husband's golf tournament at Jackson earlier this month. It was a wonderful event handled by a fantastic events manager, Gayle. She did everything possible in order that the event ran smoothly, that I (who never put together a tourney) knew what to do and expect. I will always look to Gayle for guidance in the future as she was just wonderful to work with. Absolute will use for future tournaments! It was a bit dicey with cart rentals - they would only rent one hour prior to the event, even though several people were there before that. But it all worked out fine. First time to play this course, on 5/29/18. Hcp 9. Very professional friendly helpful staff, Will in particular. Lush tees and fairways. Greens run true, on the slow side, quite few bare spots. You guys are smoking something. You're referring to Interbay with the range, "pub" and mini golf. Jackson has no range but does have an 18 hole par 3. It gets two stars for being convenient and not completely run down. The goods: location, decently cheap par 3 that's not so uptight, occasional beverage cart service (you'll need it) and not completely trashed greens for a muni. The downs: They book it up so much that you will NEVER tee off on time and a 5 hour round is pretty quick. The dudes at the pro shop are less than friendly both in person and especially on the phone. Could use some tall hedges bordering the property where the street runs right by tee boxes and greens. A-holes will inevitably honk their horn while you tee off on 11, consider it as added difficulty to the hole. Remember that it's a muni and patrons tend to not be fully aware of etiquette. read more

There is so much wrong with Jackson Park in particular and Premier Golf Co in general it's impossible to include it all. Although Jackson bills itself as "Seattle's Driest Course" there are mud wallows and standing water everywhere because of excessive, indiscriminate watering--so bad, one can lose a ball in the center of a fairway. :-( Many of the groundskeepers appear to despise golfers, because they will move a hole WHILE a ball is on the green, mow WHILE a golfer is on the green, turn on water WHILE a golfer is on the green, and otherwise position themselves (often at length) on fairways or greens while golfers are waiting to take their shots. It seems the motto has become "we don't have to care" and has gotten more prominent the longer it has been managed by Premier. Other beefs include the clubhouse (erratic hours, dreary condition), car paths (eroded from the water, poorly maintained), and pricing structure (e.g. you pay LESS if you get the breakfast sandwich special). There are a couple on staff who are genuinely worth the time because of their helpfulness and positive personality--I doubt they will stay very long. read more

as a public munis go, this isn't bad.. the course overall is on the shorter side, but each side offers a nice stretch of holes that makes it enjoyable.. hole #5 - 8 is a good challenge.. and if you're long enough, you could try to get on one in hole #7.. the back nine stretch of #11 - 15 are the best overall holes at the course.. i won't bore you with the details, but they are tough enough to give even a scratch player a challenge.. the course over the years have gone through some changes, so if it was compared to the mid 90's this is a much better course.. the drainage has improved, but if it rains the balls will plug.. the course is usually in it's best condition in june and july, since they are prepping for the seattle amateur tournament.. but this is a muni and unfortunately when the weather is nice, that's when the hackers come out.. i'm your average hacker, but i do like to play fast and i do prefer to play a round in 4 hours.. but most hackers that play jackson doesn't seem to understand the simple golf etiquette of pace of play.. and this usually results in 6 hour rounds.. and unlike some of the nicer courses in the area, jackson doesn't seem to have marshals to enforce the pace of play.. as other reviewers have noted, they seem to pack in as much tee times as possible, which just causes lot of backups at the par 3s and hole #4 (which lot of players try to get on one).. really, this is my biggest complaint about lot of courses.. don't care if the players are good or not.. just learn the etiquette of pace of play.. i guess that's why i only play there when it rains.. if they can fix the pace of play at jackson, i would give it a 3 star. .the price is reasonable and course isn't bad for a city muni.. but until, they can fix that, it'll just stay as a 2 star course.. read more

I played there on 2/5/15 . What a mess, this course is a goat ranch. What a lack of total maintenance. The course used to have a tall flag stick on 18 and a metal target to see where the green was, no they took both away. Even though the weather was a little rainy some of the tee boxes were flooded from lack of drainage. If want to play a city course try Jefferson or West Seattle, they at least try there not Jackson. Played here 2/17/15. The rain has stopped and it's sunny outside and 60 degrees. The course was challenging but dry in spots and soaked in others. Hole 2 was under repair so I didnt play that hole. Walked in with no tee time, starter got me out quickly I rode in a cart. Will play here again read more

I got a hot dog on the turn, asked for grilled onions, and found 3 hairs in the onions...it had to be on purpose. Do not ask for grilled onions on your hotdog, I strongly suggest just using the raw chopped onions read more
