He was very open and easy to talk to and wasn't so snobby like other tattoo artists or shops I called. I've been wanting a tattoo for years and I finally got one from Jacob. I wanted a birthmark on my right shoulder/back covered but I didn't know exactly what i wanted so he asked me for a couple of photos of things I like. I'm really into fantasy and nature scenery stuff so I grabbed some photos off the net and showed him. He came up with something quick that fit perfectly onto my shoulder/back. I was impressed. He is cheaper than other many artists taking into the fact that he originally going to add multiple colors but I told him I only wanted blue and black. The work is done at his place. He has two dogs there but don't worry they are friendly. I was petting them while waiting for him to get started. I'm satisfied with my tattoo and I recommend trying him out. Don't advertise yourself on yelp if you aren't going to follow through with what yelp is offering. Hopped on yelp to search for a tattoo shop for literally a quick, maybe 30 min tattoo maybe less. Mind you I have many, so I should be accurate on the time. Yelp said response in 30 min. Cool. Sent a pic of what I wanted and whatever other info it asked from me. Mind you the picture was the size that was wanted if not I would have said otherwise. I am not a difficult person when it comes to tattooing, I have come to learn that artists hate it when we are picky! I wanted an outline, plain and simple. After putting in the request, YELP told me to contact him. He clearly didn't want to be contacted. Or doesn't do small baby pieces and should have said that! He was making the whole situation WAY more difficult than it needed to be. I sent the pic as YELP told me to do. Pointless. Called him for the rest of the info. Pointless. As a reserved shy guy, getting a tattoo is probably the last thing that would come up on others mind. But going to Jacob's place to get tatted was an amazing experience. Great guy with a chill persona that cares for his customer. His attention to detail and his thought process on fixing marginal errors on stencils are quite astonishing. I got a tattoo from Jacob on March 2nd, 2018 and afterwards he told me to just leave it alone and not to put anything on it. During the healing process I notice it is scabbing a lot and the skin is cracking more than a tattoo should so I message Jacob letting him know what's happening and he tells me the same thing which is to leave it alone so that's what I do. Fast forward a month later and I end up having a faded tattoo with scarring on my skin. I call Jacob and explain the situation and he's rude he starts blaming me and denying what he said telling me I took care of it wrong and I should've kept it moisturized when I actually took his aftercare advise I ask him if he can fix it and he tells me I have to pay to get it fixed. Wtf? It's his fault and he wants me to pay to get it fixed. Not happening. You can't call yourself a professional tattoo shop when you treat your customers like this. Now I have a patchy tattoo and scarring on my skin I will get a fix up but not with this tattoo shop. Bad experience won't be coming back. read more

the founder, Jacob, who is also the artist of this private studio located in downtown Pomona has an awesome artist's translation from the ideas in your head to actual commissioned artwork. I asked for a piece of artwork through first person perspective of ancient Mayan architecture through jungle wilderness and it was beyond what I even had on my own head. there was so much detail put into the viewpoint that your eyes could get lost into not only the leaf detail in the foreground, but everything else captured in the background. he's a very gifted artist not only from the finished product, but as well as the side input he had for what I could actually put into words. he's a independent artist and a completely separate entity of any and all local tattoo studio's, which means you get the benefit of getting his full attention on you and your ideas from the moment you schedule to meet him. going back to the location, his studio is so neat and everything has its place. there's a very seemingly luxurious leather tattoo chair which is the center of attention. when we spoke we sat at his desk which has a computer with internet access so he can always reference whatever you need him to at a moment's notice. it's easy to access just south of the 10 freeway and a stone's throw away from the Pomona downtown area and a local brewery, so you're able to grab a beer not two blocks away. all in all, though I did not receive a tattoo from him, which he made me fully aware of that he did there in his studio, he is kind, social, and very personable. he's very willing to accommodate you in every way possible. I would have no problem letting him go wild with any tattoo idea I could conjure. I'll definitely be returning soon. read more
