Some friends gifted my partner and I a coupon for a one-hour hot tub session followed by a massage of our choice. The place itself is pretty unassuming from the outside, you wouldn't think much of it walking in, but once you head toward the back, it opens up into these private little pods for each group. That setup really adds a nice sense of privacy, like you have your own little retreat. There's a quick rinse-off shower on the side before you get in, which is convenient, but they don't provide slippers, so if that kind of thing matters to you, definitely bring your own. The hot tubs themselves are relaxing, and I liked that the tops are open, so you still get fresh air and a bit of greenery around you. You can hear some light chatter from neighboring pods, but it honestly just blends into the background and didn't take away from the experience at all. There are free tea bags and hot water in the hallway you pass through on the way to the tubs. It's easy to miss, so grab a cup on your way in. After the hot tub, you head upstairs for the massage... via this tiny spiral staircase that feels a little questionable, not gonna lie. I definitely had a moment of "please don't let me trip right now," but once you make it up, it's totally fine. Booking a 30-45 minute cedar wood sauna at the end of my workday is a new wellness habit. It really helps me reset. I often get an extra boost of energy to keep going for 2-3 more hours. It's only $20-22 and with the extra 15 minute cool-down window included it ends up being 45 minutes to an hour. Well worth it! I've booked the combo room, regular hot tub rooms, and these are fun with another person. The fresh air and trees above make this a nice choice on a sunny day or clear night. I haven't been to Piedmont Springs for a massage in some time but have booked hot tub appointments with no issue. Booked a hot tub followed by a pain/inflammation massage 24 hrs in advance. I arranged my day for this evening appointment and get a call 1-1/2 before that unfortunately they would have to cancel. They make such a point to tell their customers that they'll be changed if they cancel yet it's absolutely no problem if they cancel on the customer. I made the appointment not to relax but to hopefully get some relief. Relief I won't be getting tonight. Seems things haven't changed. read more

I soaked in a hot tub Monday evening, and awoke the next day covered in a poison oak rash. I had not been near nature over the weekend, so am positive that I contracted the rash from their tub. When I called to let Piedmont Springs know, they told me they'd look into it? They did not offer to refund my $30, which would have been the minimum gesture of goodwill. The soak was nice itself, and the moon was glorious. That's the only saving grace of receiving a one star review. The moon did a lot of heavy lifting. read more

This was a nice hot tub experience and a unique activity. We went with a group of 4 and it was $30 per person for an hour. The hot tub is outdoors but enclosed in a wooden structure. The water is very, very hot, almost two hot, and there is one jet that is angled a bit too high so that it splashes water out of the tub. The tub was also filled too full so when all 4 of us got in, a ton of water splashed out and soaked the wooden sides and floor, making everything kind of damp and wet. We got there 10 minutes before our booked time at 6:30pm but the room wasn't ready until 5 minutes after our time started, but they still knocked loudly on the door 15 minutes before 7:30pm telling us our time was almost up. I feel like the time at the beginning should have been accounted for at the end. Towels were provided which was nice but were kind of thin. read more

We've been going to Piedmont Springs for a number of years now, and have sampled their hot tubs and their combo (hot tub and sauna) room. Their beautiful wood tubs are so peaceful to luxuriate in under the starry sky, and I feel so relaxed whenever I spend an hour there. Beyond relaxed. Beyond relaxed, and occasionally, devoid of logical thought. Last week, I was so blissed out on steamy water and air that I failed to take all my stuff with me when I left! And it wasn't just any stuff, it was my wedding rings! Yeah, I know I wasn't the brightest bulb to wear them to a hot tub visit in the first place, but it was a stressful time of year/life (hence the hot tub visit!), and I didn't have time to leave them behind. But as I soaked myself into al dente noodle consistency, all the stress and tension melted out of my body, sweeping away all my customary hypervigilant attention to detail! Not to worry, because even though I know they're not responsible for lost items, Piedmont Springs collectively leapt into action to find them. Manager Ben immediately coordinated the safe return of my cherished possessions, which had been spotted, bagged, and tagged by the night staff, and discovered anew by the cleaning crew. It would have been my own fault for doing so, but it was an absolute miracle for Piedmont Springs to have thwarted my loss. Next time I go in for a combo, I'm gonna get out of the tub two clicks BEFORE my thoughts become soup! read more

I've always come here to use the combination hot tub sauna room. It's always been lovely with no issues. I booked a reservation over a week in advance for today and found out after checking my email that my reservation had been cancelled. I'm in my swimsuit ready to leave my house and I give them a call to find out what happened as I never got a voicemail or any message from them before this email this morning, day of my appointment. They said they called all the reservations up until Sunday, the day before mine to let them know the room is down. They said they were hoping it would be up and running again by today and it was not and that's fine but they should have let me know and given me a call ASAP, not an email cancellation same day. They didn't offer me anything other than a "sorry". Pretty bad customer service and I'm really upset. read more

My friends and I come regularly on Fridays and we are consistently greeted with blank stares and the sentiment that we are disrupting the ongoing at the front desk. I don't think we've ever been greeted proactively with a hello or even a smile, and so if there is ever an alternative option that opens up nearby we would gladly consider given the boarder line rude treatment. read more

The facilities are clean, have good amount of space, and are easy to navigate if you haven't been here before. It's very private and quiet, we didn't notice any distracting guest noise. We booked our massage appointments about 2 weeks in advance; while there were limited appointments, we were able to coordinate our appointments so that we all finished our massages at the same time. My deep tissue massage was excellent - the masseuse was very accommodating and targeted my tight neck and shoulders. I felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. The front desk clerk very snappily told us so. Might want to make that far more clear or tell us upon entry what we should do. Rather than bite our heads off about it on the way out. Id say max of 3-4 people but two if you're trying to actually relax as they're a bit cozy. Especially maneuvering hanging up your clothes and taking the before and after shower. Two large bathrooms between front door and hot tubs, make sure you go before you hit the hot tub because they're strict on hourly rental and knock too let you know 10-15mts left. Combo room = privacy, luxury, relaxation! I came on my birthday this year. I have been before but it's been years - since before covid! It felt soo so good to treat myself even to an hour of hot tub and dry sauna. 1 hour is $40/person/hour. It's not the cheapest but it's a luxurious treat-yo-self moment lol. The jacuzzi jets are nice and strong. I could stay there the whole hour lol. There is a shower next to jacuzzi and you can come in your clothes or not and just undress /dress in your private combo room. The outdoor portion had jacuzzi and shower, the indoor portion had the dry sauna room and a small area with a bench and hooks for dressing/undressing/towels. Recommend coming with suits on to maximize your time! They provide towels which is nice. They knock when you have 10 minutes left in the room. read more

Just got my first massage ever at Piedmont Springs. I got the Relaxation Massage from Kaitlin. It was so nice! Kaitlin was professional, kind and made me feel safe and cared for. She started the session with a little consultation during which she asked me what I wanted to focus on and also asked about any boundaries I had (areas I didn't want massaged or touched). Her massage made me feel really relaxed, it was just the right amount of pressure and hit area I didn't even realize were tense. When the massage ended, I felt like I was waking up from a really good nap even though I hadn't fallen asleep. The place itself is very cute, clean and comfortable. Had a racist moment in 2017, just after a friend had gifted me several gift certificates for my birthday! So, in 2017, I went there and was greeted with What do you want or, as Karen said How can I help you?? A nasty greeting, she only held for the few black and brown people who entered the establishment. She all but kissed the asses of all the white people. This was shocking since I had been to Piedmont Springs many times and had an appointment each time! I will never go back! I can go to the deep south for that kind of old-fashioned in-your-face racial discrimination! I do not recommend this place unless you are white because you never know when she will show her face. Prior to that racist experience, I had always been treated kindly; however, that horrible day that I was celebrating my birthday, my massage therapist informed me that she was leaving and starting her own business! This used to by go to place for hot tub and sauna, but it has gone down hill. First off, please clean the mold in sauna rooms. You black mold growing at top of wall, in air vents along with various other places. Secondly, staff needs better training. Twice I've been checked into sauna and towels were stink inside the actual sauna! Nasty wet towels. Do you not spray down the sauna after each use? Lastly, my partner got a nasty foot infection from the sauna area. Actually, we strongly believe it was from sauna, since we don't use gym showers or have any exposure to any place that would spread foot fungus.
