Beware, you can hear through the walls -- cars honking outside, staff chatter (in Chinese) in the lobby and shared space with massage lounge seating, even my boyfriend's snoring in the room next to mine during our sessions. We got the combination massage (30 minutes foot/30 minutes body), and my experience was positive. Pressure wasn't consistent during the entire treatment, but for the most part it was on the deeper side and effective. The first half focused mainly on the back, plus neck, shoulders, and arms, as well as a bit of the legs. The second half, my masseur asked me to "turn over" as he left the room briefly. He meant not only to flip over to lie on my back but also to change positions so that my head would be at the foot of the bed. From there, he did a very detailed job on my legs, feet, and each individual toe, borderline painful but overall good. We paid upfront before our services, including a credit card fee (2.50 per massage). Afterward, we gave a cash tip. They have a sign at the front asking for $20 (with very friendly language), which is the typical amount we tip anyway. The staff was incredibly kind and professional, so I have no complaints.

He was unable to apply much pressure, making the massage ineffective and uncomfortable. I paid for a full-body massage, but only the back side of my body was massaged. The front was completely skipped. When I asked why, I was told the therapist wasn't sure whether it would be appropriate. That explanation made no sense to me, especially since I had already agreed to having a male therapist. If you're advertising a full-body massage, customers should receive a full-body massage. What made the experience even worse was how my friend was treated. After her service was finished, she was told to wait outside in the cold while I was still receiving mine. The area is not the safest, and I found it incredibly unprofessional to ask a paying customer to stand outside and wait. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing massage experiences I've had. Poor service, poor communication, and not the service that was advertised. I will not be returning.

As a first time customer, I didn't know they had a safer parking lot option in the back but was already undressed and on the table. She could have asked me where I parked and told me about the lot in the back when she let me in but didn't. There was some discussion about whether parking on the street in front would be safe but it was inconvenient to dress and re park the car and get undressed again. Masseuse Maria was said to be very good per Cherry but came in with a lot of rushed energy to start the 60 min massage. The pressure was too light at first and Cherry had said for any deeper pressure I would have to pay $80 for the 60 minutes instead of $70 which would be a "very light touch." When I requested deeper pressure from Maria she decided to walk on my body. It was painful at times and I have had this treatment many times elsewhere and it didn't feel the same in terms of her sensitivity to the client's body resistance. I relaxed and dozed off for 20 minutes or so during the body massage after she walked on my back. But she ran out of oil or had some issues with the bottle and was audibly upset about it which ruined the flow. Most of the massage felt rushed and not a calm and relaxing experience. She left to get hot towels and wiping up was rough compared to other experiences. The oil also felt greasy and I showered immediately after, especially because she wore gloves and massaged my face after the body oil. Afterwards I asked for change for a $20, intending to give somewhere between $18-25 for the $60 service. As soon as Maria saw my $20 and I asked for change her attitude turned sour. She came back with two $10 bills and I asked for one $5 and five $1 bills. She was very unhappy and was muttering in Chinese about it. Word of advice - don't assume your customers do not understand/speak Cantonese or Mandarin because many do. Grumbling about getting change for YOUR tip and demanding $20-25 was over the top and was the last straw. Maggie said restaurants charge at least 18% for tip for individual service. She also said her rates of $80 for 60 min was cheap and other places are $130 for 75 min. Honestly, I am dumbfounded because I've never been to any spa where they had this kind of attitude immediately after treatment because a customer requested change for cash for the tip. Maria didn't even charge me for the $60 and was solely focused on her tip. I told Maggie I hadn't been charged as an honest customer and she looked shocked Maria had not charged me for the service yet. Save your money and go elsewhere to relax unless you want to be more stressed about car safety/parking, how much to tip for subpar service that felt rushed and uneven, and how much other massage places charge and how much other customers tip comparatively.

I had called ahead and made a reservation for a 1 hour massage and the masseuse said that was fine. She did refund me $15 - a 30 minute massage is $45. And we didn't leave the customary $20 tip. But I was very disappointed, particularly for my son because this was his first massage experience. Hate to say it but after 5 years of visiting Asian Wellness Center I am going to find a new place. You don't treat loyal customers this way.
