My husband and I had a wonderful time at Zen Springs! Before visiting, I couldn't really wrap my head around it when people described it as an "Airbnb-style spa," but after being there, that is truly the perfect wording for it. Because it is a completely contactless check-in, the process was incredibly easy, and they were so accommodating with our last-minute booking, we reserved our spot just two hours in advance. We booked the two-person VIP suite with a bubble bath and added the romantic setting, which came with lovely candles and fake rose petals. The setup was perfect for us. My husband brought a curated playlist, and it was seamless to plug right into the suite's Bluetooth speaker. There was also a projector displaying colors on the ceiling that really added to the relaxing, romantic ambiance. I am giving four stars instead of five because I have to agree with some previous reviews: the provided towels did smell quite musty, so I would highly suggest bringing your own. Additionally, the yoga mat on the platform had a mildewy smell to it. Overall, it was a beautifully relaxing experience. Towels and a soap dispenser at the shower were also provided already in the room to our surprise. Fun disco-like lights too, just dark so watch your step and don't forget your belongings! Also, the hot tub doesn't come filled, not the sauna hot. Both take time and could eat into your reservation time, so recommend turning those on right away upon your initial entry. They also don't mention online that this place is completely automated! There is no one at the door. Only an automated message or instructions overhead, cameras, a check-in kiosk, and cameras. A spa experience should feel more like a retreat from stress and not like a scene from Hostel. There are no attendants. You are buzzed in and a shady voice beckons you to slide your card and call the number on the sign so that some guy who doesn't identify himself can shame you into accepting a black mold filled room. That was me and my partner's experience. The first room was musty, smelled a bit like urine, and not worth $150 for 90 minutes. I looked up at the vents near the ceiling and could see visible signs of mold. Dude doesn't think he has to answer to the health inspector. I can't ever see it the same. Not bad for a last minute find. We didn't need an appointment - they accept walk ins, but you do need to request for a room with the sauna if you want that. We did the spa room for two people ($80), with the sauna ($30), and two towels ($3/each). Total came out to be $116 for the hour. The bottled water at the front is also $3. The service was good and the room felt clean. The room consists of the hot tub, day bed, shower, sauna, and Bluetooth speakers which was nice addition. I also liked that the ceiling above the hot tub had twinkling star-like lights. The only thing I would change is for the room to look more like the Yelp photos (candles, plants, etc). The Yelp photos made it look more intimate and romantic. But nonetheless, it was still decent and a relaxing experience. One hour was just enough time for us, but it does take time for the hot tub to get filled and sauna to get hot. We start filling the tub, aware that it might take a while ... 30 minutes in (halfway through into our time), we're still waiting for the tub to fill, and there's only about 6 inches of water. The best of all, it's cold freezing water! Read previous reviews and you'll see people complaining about the exact same things. The owner knows about this and makes sure you can't get your money back (see attached picture). Eventually, we decide this isn't worth it and got our belongings to get a refund to leave, without wetting a finger. The owner refused to issue us a refund ($130) and we just left furious, and now I'm writing my first ever Yelp review. It was that bad! I came to Zen Springs pre-Covid and it was fantastic! Post Covid not so much! I came here for my birthday and was so disappointed! I came in earlier in the day and paid ahead of time for a VIP room. The young lady who helped me was very polite, the customer service was good for me before so i didn't expect anything different. My boyfriend and I arrive around 845 for out 1.5 hours session. When we first got in the room we connected our phones to the bluetooth speak (its built into the ceiling, before it was a bluetooth speaker/clock) and began filling the tub. We got the heat to the perfect temperature and got in. While in the tub we noticed HAIR!!! Straight, stringy hair we knew the hair wasnt ours because my boyfriend has locs and i have curly hair. So we drained the tub and pulled the hair out of the filter, i decided that i wanted to wipe the tub down just to be safe. I wipe out the jets and everything, THEY WERE FILTHY!!! I believe there was a total of 6-8 jets and THEY WERE DISGUSTING! I booked for a hour and a half we spent a total of about 30mins in the tub before we saw the hair. Once we cleaned the jets we tried getting back in but just felt like we were sitting in someone else's dirt! I wish they would go back to the cleanliness it was before Covid. The girl at the front desk told me she would have management contact me but its been almost a month and no one has reached out to me AT ALL! I have no intention on returning here. We had a reservation at 7pm and got there at 650 and waited outside as the door was locked. No one was inside. We rang the door bell and waited. After waiting approximately 5-7 minutes a voice came from the camera out front asking if they could help us. I told them we had a reservation. They asked us to call the number outside to be let in. There was no one there. We checked in at the kiosk and got the 2p VIP suite. For 2 hours. However what I originally had booked was selected 30 additional $ for "romantic setting" I did not see that option when we chose our service inside. And there did not appear to be anyone inside. We wanted to buy some scented soaks but again. They were locked up and no one there to let us add those on. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The shower in the room makes a nice touch to rinse off before sitting in water with your S/O. Our room did not have the romantic setting like originally wanted. But we decided well technically we didn't pay for it. However like I mentioned that was what I originally booked. There are no outlets that we could see (we brought our own lights we wanted to plug in) the tub was nice. It definitely does take awhile to fill up. You gotta get the 2 hour package. 1 hour would feel really rushed to shower off, fill the tub and enjoy the water. The hot water took awhile to get hot as well. The light inside the tub was cool. I brought our own towels as I read a review about this place that said the towels smelled like Pee. And. They do. They definitely smell like urine. Overall husband and I had a nice time, we got out the tub about 830 showered off dried off and left right at 9pm. We do feel however that it's just not worth the price tag. The online reservation trick they have is really uncomfortable- called at 2 pm and asked to make reservation and they asked to make online reservation, I asked if the vip room is reserved for today and they said no it's available. I've been a Zen Springs client for many years, but haven't been since before the pandemic and was excited to have a little nostalgic soak. I was given conflicting information about how to make a reservation. The price went up! A Lot! I recall the best room they had was $70 and hour, now the cheapest is $110 for 45 minutes. What they don't tell you is that the saunas in the rooms are not included at that price and are a $35 upcharge. The tub tasks forever to fill, like a third of our slot. They do not provide floor mats or towels specifically for the floor and we both had "close calls" slipping as we exited the tub. It makes me sad, but I will NEVER give ZS another dollar. The clerk gave my ID to another customer and it was totally his fault because instead of doing his job and attending to the desk he left my ID and another customer's ID on the counter resulting in the other customer taking my ID. Complete and flagrant disrespect and disregard for my safety and security. Was not apologetic. Made lazy excuses. Did not offer to refund (the only acceptable way to excuse this behavior). Did not pressure the other customer to rerun. I waited 40 minutes for my ID! This business jeopardized my privacy and I will most definitely be reporting them to the better business bureau. I recommend not ever stepping foot in this establishment. The only way to shut it down is to not go. These people are criminals and should be held accountable. I think people are being very hard on this place. They have private rooms with hot tubs, a bed and a shower. They did have a problem a while back ago with the towels smelling bad like they were sour. They seemed to fix the problem now. I go there all the time. It's easy to get a room if you just walk in yes, it takes time for the hot tub to fill up but it's not that big of a deal. Sometimes the staff has not been super friendly, but most of the time they are. I always leave a tip in the room when I leave and sometimes I tip them before hand. A little bit goes a long way I recommend this place. read more

This space used to be my favorite. I pretty sure I've spent over $2000 over the many years booking the VIP room and a few of the others. I'm talking about at least 8/10 years. However the updates and upgrades on the space isn't up to par. It started with some of the lights not working, then the waterfall on the tub. Next the steam isn't working in the shower, and there were knobs missing on the controls. I tried a couple more times but when I made a complaint about it, the owner just said he would check and maybe credit me a discount. I didn't want a discount, I just wanted the space and service to be in order and ready for the full experience. After all, the rates had gone up quite a bit and the service was definitely no where as good as it was. Because I liked the space so much, I didn't want to give them a bad review or say anything because I thought I could just find a new space that had the same features and vibe. However, Zen Springs is a very unique place and it should be a great experience. I've thought about going back to check things out. I would definitely need to do a walkthrough before booking again. I just would hate to book the room and get there and be disappointed because a mirror is cracked or the steam, lights, Bluetooth or controls aren't working, after paying $130 an hour and get there and in, just to figure it out. The owner or the main manager seems to be a cool guy. But maybe it's just time for a revamp of the full business. It gets like that sometimes, even for the best. I hope that someone in management reads this, so maybe if I book again, I would LOVE to say how much has changed and recommend this space again. The rooms are beautiful but the staff are incredible RUDE. After my session I asked for a receipt and was told by a staff that "It's your obligation to know how much you were charged, not mine." Like that doesn't make any sense, on the site it's estimated around $60/hr, how is it not your job to customers the prices or their due amount once finished? First of all it's not a hot tub it's a bathtub. you have to spend about a half hour to fill the bathtub up . then they tell you they're going to give you a 10 minute warning before your time to come out. that was a pure hustle, they never called until we were over out time limit to make us aware we were going be charged an overage fee. they won't give you your ID back until you pay this extra fee which is the other part of the hustle. This was the worst spa experience I've had ever. My reservations were for a VIP room for two. The jacuzzi was more like a bath tub that took about 30 minutes to fill. There was a sauna in the room that we utilized while waiting for the jacuzzi only for it to turn off and we thought that it was broken. When I called the front desk I was told that the sauna was $30 extra which was not a problem. Them cutting off the sauna and not giving us the option of adding it on was. When we got there it was very much disappointing after asking to see the VIP room before we actually committed, there are no candles, no plants, no lights as you enter ( you can turn them on but it just doesn't look like the pictures which is a complete false advertisement ) and no steam room. Only one of the rooms has a sauna which was unavailable when we got there. ( The couple that came ahead of us took it ) however our experience with the receptionist Tianna was exceptional and lovely. She is such a personable woman and the business owner is truly lucky to have her.
