I am writing as a…read morewitness to share how the front desk experience with receptionist Teresa, has been consistently unprofessional and inappropriate. On multiple occasions, Teresa ignored us at check-in and check-out because she was talking on her personal phone or sometimes because she is chatting with others. She always makes us wait without acknowledgment, and when we did approach the desk, she was visibly irritated and made rude facial expressions. Worse, Teresa is always spoking loudly about other clients and their children, mocking and making disrespectful comments where everyone could hear. She was even talking incredibly loud about her own personal matters, including how she's having a baby, getting tax money, and was being mad because her baby's father gives money to his other child's mother -- all conversations we can hear in the waiting room. The last incident was especially upsetting: she openly gossiped about my niece, and her parents by name to another staff member while we were sitting right there. This made us feel disrespected and humiliated in a place where families should feel supported and safe. I want to make it clear that this type of unprofessional conduct will cost you clients and money. Families will refuse to come to a place where they feel mocked, disrespected, and gossiped about. As Kaiser members, we have already filed formal complaints about this establishment, and we sincerely hope you take immediate action before more families choose to leave for good.

Anakaren, Miriam and Alma have all super helpful is finding availability, cancel or adding sessions and answering any questions you may have. Cynthia will always do her best to help your the billing, authorizations from insurance and answering all your questions. They have all gone above and beyond to help me. Christina is my son case supervisor. She has gone above and beyond to set up his goals and help the therapist in accomplishing them. She even sat in on my son's IEP meeting to show her support for my son and to show his school what Acuity has been working on. She will also join session with the BI's. I can't say enough about Haley. She is my son's BI (Behavioral Intervention). She is big part in my son's continuous improvement. She has helped him so much and continues to help him accomplish milestones every session. She has best patience of any therapist that has worked with my son. I was super impressed when we took a tour of the preschool portion of SLDC. The campus is really…read morehuge and looks like a regular school. But this school really helps kids from infants to their adulthood with learning disabilities. The preschool, in particular, is for everyone. What is really helpful, they use the same helpful techniques for children with learning disabilities in their curriculum. It is like equipping the teachers with super learning powers. It is really to accelerate the learning process. I love how diverse the students who attend this school and teacher ratio is amazing. You have the option of sending your child in for 2xs or 3xs or 4xs or the full the week. The cost to send your child there is extremely reasonable. I was so surprised! Their school schedule is like Centralia's school schedule and has summer school as an option. The only reason why my son has not enrolled yet is my son is receiving certain services from our insurance that is practically the whole day. Once those services go away, we certainly enroll him. I would just schedule a tour and once you go on it, you will be thrilled and ensured that you want your child to attend their preschool program. Oh yeah, their OT class gym is amazing. You should ask for it when you go on the tour to check it out.

We've had the opportunity to work with several wonderful therapists, and we're grateful for all of them. I'd also like to mention his speech therapists, Ms. Dana and Ms. Jena, and Mr. Joseph (OT therapist) to who have been such an important part of his progress. They've taken the time to get to know my son, incorporate his interests into each session, and keep him engaged and motivated to learn. They also do a great job keeping us involved by sharing his progress after each session and giving us ideas for what we can continue working on at home. Watching my son grow in his communication skills has been incredibly rewarding. We know that progress didn't happen overnight, and we're so grateful for the patience, encouragement, and dedication his therapists have shown him. He thrives here. He's made so much progress with both gross motor skills and occupational skills! He gets physical therapy from Byn and Jonathan who are the best!!! Both of them are so good with my son and have really helped him improve! He loves them and is always asking to go "play" with Byn and Jonathan!
