The food was tasty, but bland. Plus my shrimp with veggies only had a few shrimp! Why pay extra for a shrimp dish??

I've eaten at Jade Dragon a lot in the past but hadn't ordered in a while. Last week, I decided to order take out. I'm not sure if they changed chefs or if they are trying to cut corners but the food was disappointing. I ordered Vegetable Lo Mein, Garlic Chicken and egg rolls. The Lo Mein was virtually tasteless and some of the vegetables were past their prime. I ordered the garlic chicken spicy and it was so mild, I had to add my own seasoning. The only thing that saved the meal was the egg rolls-delicious! I really like to support local family owned restaurants but I was so disappointed in my food, I won't be ordering at Jade Dragon for a very long time. read more

The Hot & sour soup was very Thick and Sweet. NOT Sour and NOT spicy either. They have All Coke products but NO Coke! What?!! Service was bad. Not once did "waiter" approach the table. Not happy at all. read more

I spend a lot of time here because I love the food. They have mostly Chinese menu items, but they Vietnamese dishes they serve are pretty authentic. The owners are from Vietnam and know their stuff! The atmosphere is nice. I hate those restaurants that are so noisy you can hardly hear yourself think, and this is NOT one of them. It's always been clean, which is important. On a cross-country drive, I was really happy to find this restaurant pretty close to the highway. I was especially drawn to it for the Vietnamese food, which I had been craving. There were several Vietnamese fish and vegetarian options available. The vegetable broth used in the Pho was delicious and different than I was used to. I didn't get a chance to look at the Chinese food on the menu but there seemed to be a lot of options. Our dinners came out in about 3 minutes which was amazing because we were starving. My sister and I ate here for dinner the other night. We loved the food! We each ordered an appetizer and we each had Pho. The Pho was some of the best I've ever had. I've seen some comments on the service and I wonder if they were at the same restaurant because our service was AMAZING! The wait staff was friendly and pleasant and the gentleman who rang us up was very outgoing and fun! Overall we will be coming back! If you're looking for the worst MSG stomachache of your life, look no further. This restaurant has gone drastically downhill since it first opened. It USED TO BE very authentic Vietnamese food, but now it is just a cheap knockoff of what it used to be. Most of the vegetables are clearly out of a can. There is constant yelling coming from the kitchen. The decor is...questionable and there is A LOT of it. Now onto the food itself. One word, sad and painful. No original flavors and you only get a couple of pieces of meat on your meal, the rest of it is large wilting florets of broccoli and a heaping mount of water chestnuts to make it look like you paid for a lot. You can physically taste the amount of MSG in the food from your first bite. And finally, things that are labeled vegetarian on the menu still have meat in them. If you really want to eat here, bring some Tums for after your meal, you're going to need it. read more

Not sure if this is a Chinese place trying to serve Vietnamese or the other way around. Either way it's terrible Vietnamese. The pho was pretty much flavored water and beef in it borderline inedible. Worst pho ever. The bun was another tasteless wonder with instead of grilled steak we ordered, some kind of sweetened beef chips Chinese style. Maybe the Chinese food is passable here but the Vietnamese was enough to turn our stomachs for a couple hours. This place used to have good food. Maybe new cook or new owners. SERVICE: Actually one employee in particular, I think she is the owner who has been quite rude to me on multiple occasions. She gave us the bill even we did not finish our half of the bowl. I had the Pho Dac Biet and I loved this dish. The broth was refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the portion was definitely enough for two. They had alot of traditional Vietnamese items on the menu, but also had some chinese/american dishes which gives this place a good draw for a wider crowd. My wife had the sweet and sour chicken which I sampled and found to be very tasty. Service was excellent and the food came out very quickly. This place deserves all 5 stars just for being the only place in Fargo (or the state) to get Pho. :) read more

I go here often with my Dad for dinners and it is a really great place if you like Americanized Vietnamese food. My regular is the Moo Goo Gai Pan chicken and while they have an endless selection of dishes, I always decide on this one. Their food has always been server hot and fresh and the servers are always polite and attentive. It is a quieter restaurant, so probably not the best place to bring kids. It's pretty average price wise, I believe around $10 a dish. The portions are relatively large though and I almost always have take-home. I believe you can call them to reserve tables for a bigger group and they'll happily accommodate that. read more

Honestly.. one of my favorite spots yet! The mix of the menu is a win-win for me. I've read around that some people were skeptical of the different food offered but it's perfect because my family usually decides on both pho and orange chicken. It's so delicious. So, I sit down to order some food (waiter really nice by the way) and this one guy is having pho while sitting next to an older lady having a conversation in their language, and he sounds mad. I don't really pay attention to it at first. I get my food, start eating, and during their conversation this guy keeps saying, "dumb asses.....f***ing dumb asses" in English during his conversation. I'm thinking he probably got into it with someone earlier or the night before and telling the story. I keep eating and this guy is still talking saying the same things in English every once in a while like he wants the customers to hear him, but then he says, "*something in his language*....hate white people." I'm thinking, "WTF!?...did I just hear that correctly?!" The lady sitting next to him starts saying something to him that would seem like she's telling him to stop saying things like that out loud with customers around, but I really don't know what she was telling him. He clearly works there because he went in the back a couple of times. This was my first time here, and needless to say my last. I've never felt so unwelcomed in a restaurant before. I have to say everyone else was super nice and the food was great which makes it even more crappy for me not want to go back. There's just no way I'm going to eat somewhere where an employee clearly makes me feel he dislikes me and is probably going to spit in my food the first time he has a chance to. I would really hope he's not the owner. If he's not, I hope they fire him because that's just bad for business. There's a lot of other Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants around town for me to go to. There's no doubt in my mind I won't miss this place that much. read more

There are three places, that I know of, in town, that serve traditional style pho. Jade Dragon has the BEST pho in town, with the most authentic taste. I eat here a minimum of 1-2 times a week and I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. read more

I was on one of those vietnamese pho craving yesterday. So I decided to stop by for lunch and get myself a bowl of pho dac biet. What can I say, after I google the address, I found out that this restaurant is actually next door to the asian market I used to buy all my groceries at. I just dont really to bother to look at the complex I guess. What can I say. I love the soup but its a little bit on the sweeter side for me I think. This place was surprisingly good for a place in North Dakota (I always assumed that there were little Asian's living here...). It was the first Asian restaurant that we stumbled upon when we were passing through. They had a lunch special that gave you a great amount of food for the price. I think it was about $7? It included egg drop soup, eggroll, fried rice and I had choose hunan beef. My boyfriend had order the chicken pho, this dish was actually pretty amazing. The broth was on point! Jade Dragon serves both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. Most of the items on the menu are Chinese, so if you are dining with people who like traditional American/Chinese fare, they will not be disappointed. Neither will those who like pho soup, as this is absolutely great. I'm still finding out the best of the other Vietnamese dishes, but so far, all of them have been at least good, and in some cases great. Basically, Jade Dragon is an excellent place that I will continue to go to. read more

Wonderful! Fast, friendly service, they make you feel so welcome when you come in. The food is reasonably priced, plentiful (seriously, bring an appetite, they really load your plate down), a nice variety of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes and it tastes just so dang good! Best (and only?) Vietnamese in the area. Family run, service is efficient & good. Spring rolls are as spartan as the decor but cream cheese wontons will satisfy your craving for sweet. Skip the Chinese dishes & go straight for the Vietnamese - pho or noodle bowls are the best! I recommend the mock duck noodle bowl. One of my top 10 restaurants in Fargo Moorhead.
