If the place gets busy instead of each server having a section of tables, all of the servers service all of the tables so not one of them has a clue what the other has done. Decent chinese place. Not the cheapest, but the food taste different than every other chinese place around poughkeepsie. They give a lot of complementary items such as chinese tea, wontons and fortune cookies, which I found really nice. The only complaint I have is, for a little better than average chinese food, it is more expensive and it honestly shouldn't be. This restaurant needs to be Cleaned and as well the rest rooms. The food was good. The waiter was nasty. He forgets the the old saying the customer is all ways right. My food was very good I had the beef lo main. My wife had chicken sesame seed. She did not Breaded so the waiter said to her he can make it sautéed so she got her meal she got it and she did not care for it. It was steamed instead of sautéed and waiter insisted it was sautéed so I took it home washed off all the sauce off gave it to the dogs they liked it. Have not been to this place in at least 11 years. It was delicious!! Seems like they do mostly takeout, but it was a pleasant place to eat-in. It was a little dark and it would have looked much better if the bar area was lit up...would have given it 5 stars for that! Waitstaff was very attentive. Pace that food was brought to us was good. Soups were delish...won ton not too salty. They kept the fried noodles coming (yum) and the veggie fried rice was perfecto! I had a sizzling seafood dish; quantity and quality was just right. My wife had chicken and shrimp nest...also yummy. And the pistachio ice cream was loaded with pistachios! Nice surprise that this Wappingers Falls landmark still has very good food. Me and my family ordered shrimp and broccoli from this establishment, but when we got it, the shrimp tasted like it was LITERALLY rotten, and the chicken wings tasted a month old. When my mom called to tell the restaurant that they served her spoilt, uncooked food, the woman replied with "what do you want me to do about it?" I was recommended by someone who swore this was the best Chinese food in the area, and she was right. This place has the freshest tasting sweet and sour chicken from what I've tried in this area. When it comes to Chinese takeout I find the quality of meat is usually lacking, which is why I'm so happy to have found a place where I can enjoy my chicken without worrying about it's quality. Plus it's so tasty. The crunchy batter around the sweet and sour chicken is addicting. Based off of Yelp reviews we decided to check this place out. Appetizers Eggroll and Pork Rolls. They came out very fast, and the Pork rolls were lethally hot, as if they were microwaved. The eggroll was generic and had no real flavor. For entrees we had Crispy duck and sesame chicken. The entrees were amazing and totally unexpected. Go there for takeout. I have wanted to try Jade Palace for years, but never had the opportunity until the other night. Outside of New York City, most Chinese food is a buffet experience, and the quality is usually not the best. Jade Palace offers a nice alternative to the low class pig-out troughs that most buffets are. My son and I finally got to go on a quiet evening. We were seated promptly (the place was almost empty) and our server was ready to take a drink order. We started with egg rolls, which were fairly standard but were freshly cooked and not too greasy, but they were extremely hot, temperature wise. Just be cautious. Next up was an order of steamed wontons in hot sesame sauce, which was very good. For my entree, I ordered the beef in hot pepper sauce. This was excellent! The large portion of beef had a slightly charred/grilled flavor, which I like, and the minimal amount of sauce was very light and soy-sauce based; it did not overpower the meat. The actual heat came from a generous topping of grated fresh hot green peppers, which were very lightly stir-fried and served al dente, arranged on top of the meat. This was very different and unexpected, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. My son had the garden variety General Tso's chicken, which he ate heartily. We shared an order of fried rice, which was fresh and actually fried; it was not the pasty yellow rice that some places try to pawn off as fried rice. Very good overall, I will definitely return when I'm in the mood for decent Chinese food. read more

Didn't get them. Ordered moo shu vegetables. Bland to say the least. Egg rolls had obviously been fried twice. Outer skin was dark, dark brown and hard as a rock. Everything ordered was greasy. This is our regular place for Chinese takeout, and the food is usually quite good. We usually order the chicken noodle soup, and the wonton soup is also good. Chicken with broccoli, string beans, or mixed vegetables are favorites, as well as the shrimp lo mein. We've learned to order the dishes with "light oil", as it cuts down the amount of grease used in cooking, and doesn't overpower the vegetable and meat flavors. The restaurant is also good for sit down dinners. They offer a sushi bar as well as the usual Asian fare. A number of renovations have improved the ambiance of the dining room. read more

I went to this restaurant on memorial day weekend of 2016. It started with the service, it had to be the worst waitress I have ever met. I asked for noodles twice and she says OK wait and I waited and waited and waited. Finally after about 10-15 minutes later we got our noodles. I then ordered my food and asked for wonton soup. when I finally received the wonton soup and it turned out to be the worst wonton soup I've ever had. The broth taste completely like water that was just boiled the wontons themselves were hard as if they weren't cooked long enough I've never tasted such tasteless soup in my life. This is one of the very few Chinese restaurant in the area where you can sit and order your meal on your table. They have plenty of non-take out meal that you can choose but most of them are not that good. They give very small portions of meat compared to the other local chinese, and the food is lacking anyways, their sesame chicken has pineapple sauce on it like you get with sweet and sour chicken???! Crab ragoon has almost no filling, dumplings are too doughy and soggy, wonton soup taste like dirty water , and their prices don't make any sense for the portions they give you, I for one am moving on from this place and they're lucky that's all I've said about their poor quality food.
