He played with his phone while massaging me with one hand , and the other hand holding his phone . He paused the massage so he can text with both hand, WTF. After all, I still gave him tip, because I felt bad. But then I got upset with myself for gave him tip. I shouldn't give him any. Just don't come here. Great massage experience from start to finish! Squeezing us in was a breeze and we were treated as if we had already been here before. Which was nice because it just showed how sweet everyone is at this location. It felt homey and this business definitely has a massage vibe to it. My boyfriend and I both got a full body massage and we went in feeling heavy and walked out of there feeling like a million bucks and light as a feather! The masseuses there have over 15 years of experience and it definitely shows. Candy has never lied to me about these facts. As far as I know, she is not the kind of person who would lie, nor does she have any reason to do so. I truly do not understand this person's attitude. I've seen some comments complaining about being asked for a $10 tip--please, let's stop this. These professionals spend at least an hour or more providing full-body massages, and they are true masters of their craft. They honestly deserve tips of at least $30-$40 or more. The 5 stars is for my massage therapist & for the front desk who answered the phone. After obviously having a language barrier, she followed up with a text message, giving me the address, a picture of the location and the menu (without me asking) . That's going above and beyond.the massage therapist was excellent I wish I got her name :( . I'm 9 mo pregnant so I really needed this. Only thing I wish is that they don't let other customers use their phones. There was a guy next to me watching videos that was really distracting, but thank God the massage was so good. I came here for years but since recently returning sadly for those who don't know, they recently switched owners and the original masseuses/masseurs are no longer there. Jade Twin is sadly unfortunately CLOSED. A new business replaced it called "Sea Spa". I walked in after a while of not visiting, and had an awful massage by some bald short guy named Andy. I am being detailed with his description because I don't want anyone else having a stressful massage like I did. I had many massages in my life but this guy seems like he's not entirely certain what he's doing. And he's unsteady, his elbow slipped when rolling out my back causing him to trip on top of me. He squeezed the very top of my nails and fingertips way too hard my nerves burned, and overall it felt like I was getting beat up rather than massaged. I don't mean beat up in like the pressure was too strong but more like the guy was just rough all around and didn't seem too confident where he was pressing. Maybe Sea Massage has other better workers but yeah I won't be returning after that terrible experience with Andy, and also I'm left with grief missing Jade Twin even more, R.I.P. Jade Twin, which always outshined the "5-Star massage" business next door, but today's terrible experience with the newly replaced "Sea Spa" actually makes next door feel much more appealing. Very sad. Jade Twin, you will be greatly missed. Owner of Sea Spa, Candy, also lied to me, probably tried to make their business look good. She said they were opened at this location for 20 years. This is probably going to be the funniest massage review ever. I decided to come to Jade Twin for a 60 minute foot massage as I've been extra stressed with work lately and wanted to find avenues to decompress. I booked my appointment over the phone the day before and they had plenty of availability. Upon reading the reviews, I saw there were a lot of poor experiences with ppl who only tipped $10, so I came with the expectation that if I enjoyed my massage, I would at least tip $15, if not $20. [Which is honestly crazy because that's a 50%-66% tip] My masseuse was male, probably in his 50s, who did not speak a lick of English. But that's OK because I can understand Mandarin. I took my shoes/socks off and he laid a towel over me. The FOOT massage actually starts with a SCALP massage - and he removed my scrunchie and started working his hands through my head. It covered my entire scalp including my ears, and then went into my FACE. Mind you, the massage was the first portion of my day before I had actual social activities but with one fell swipe, he wiped away my eye shadow. Another swipe, and my eyeliner is gone. A few more swipes, and honestly my foundation, contour, and blush are all on his fingers or smeared across my face LOL Then, my FOOT massage goes into ARMS. The pressure he was applying was intense. By the time he finally got to my feet, my whole body was pretty much a melted puddle lol. They use a lot of tools - tools that mimic torture devices and I'm a ticklish girlie - so I usually don't opt for massages unless it's feet only. So when I signed up for this FOOT massage, I wasn't expecting it to really be 30 minutes of other stuff and 30 minutes of actual foot massage. My jaw/mouth hurt so much at the end of the massage because of how hard I was gritting my teeth from either actual pain or because I was so ticklish. *side note: my 60-minute massage ended in 55 minutes. I also thought it was a little weird at how often his hands grazed my bum or straight up massaged it LOL (not a "me too" moment - just a "wow lol that was weird" - kinda thought) Toward the end, my masseuse was panting LOL and I found myself BEGGING for the massage to be over (in my head) - which is probably a sign that this place is not for me. And with that, I was OK with paying the full price + the $10 tip that gets so much hate from the workers. For what you pay, it is fair-priced. It's not in a private room - although they do have them (maybe for more specialized massages?) It's just a row of massage tables and I could hear a guy snoring loudly throughout my massage. They give you a small basket to put your belongings in. My massage ended with a healthy dose of tiger balm on my neck (and in my hair). Parking was fine - they have a large shared parking lot and plenty of spaces on a weekend afternoon. They accept both cash and credit cards (without additional fees). read more

We had a great experience for our first time at Sea Spa! My friend found this place by google and we called in for 3 massages and they were able to accommodate us in 35 minutes. We chose the 70 minute full body massage for $40 and my masseuse was Judy , my husband got Leah and my friend got a gentleman but I didn't catch his name. I felt like my masseuse really put a lot of effort into it and it was more of a mechanical get the knots out massage than relaxing but I loved it! Probably best massage I've received in a very long time and I loved the hot stone. I will be coming back and making an appointment with Judy again. I did ask for 60min body massage with hot stone and 30 minutes foot I was taken to the middle of a crowded room thinking they are going just massage my feet and take me to another private room For the body. So the foot massage was not a foot massage they only spent 5 mins on my feet mostly my shoulders. Then all of a sudden he closes the curtains and started to pull up my shirt from the back to start on the back very rough and pulled it over my head so unprofessional. I get many massages and normally they provide a towel and step out of the room ALONE TO REMOVE MY CLOTHS. Only reason I stood 1. because my husband is on the side of the curtains getting his well needed massage next to me and 2. I was laying down he couldn't see anything but still thats when I was over it. The massager was ok nothing impressive but I don't like my massager to press his body on me sometimes during the massage I don't know if it was just me or the fact I was already uncomfortable. Then we comes to pay now please let me say I tip according to services when its not a good service and this time I gave a little over 18% but no the lady DEMANDED MORE money even said she can put the extra on my card. I was happy to come here the first time. Just like the other massage places, their foot massage includes a scalp and back massage, too. It's $30 for an hour. Add a $10 tip, so $40 is fine. Inflation is creeping on us! Our masseuse was great the first time. Dudes with strong hands did the job loosening the knots. I just wish these guys didn't smoke because you could smell their breath during the massage. It was nauseating. But everything was great, including the $10 tip at the end. I saw their body language about only $10 tip but didn't complain, which is fine. That's 33% tip! The second time going there, the massage wasn't great like the first time. We also had two different masseuse's this time. Basically, like all the foot massage places we've been to, it's a hit a miss. The fellas the second time, it felt rushed. It was not a massage, and they were basically only pressing my skin without strength. Instead, they complained to me in Chinese about low tipping, my usual $10. Wait. I thought tipping was an option?! Anyhow, they had the nerve to ask me to use my credit card, which I said no. I was cordial and said I would give them more next time. But there won't be a next time. Highly recommended by my parents so gave them a shot when I was in the area. Went for the foot massage which included a good 15min of body/back. Once you get over the fact this place isn't the serene sanctuary you're imagining, it's pretty legit. You are here to get cured. The foot massage is in a shared room with little privacy. But I didn't mind, I was in need of a massage, especially my back, and I am someone with high pressure tolerance. At other massage places, whenever they see thin girls like me, I'll end up with a weak massage, as if they're afraid to break my bones. But to my surprise, I was assigned an older, bald masseuse who was ripped. I simultaneously felt like I was getting beat up with a vengeance and a deep tissue massage at the same time. At one point I thought he was trying to see how hard he can apply pressure until I "yelped" in pain, no pun intended. But I'm no pussy, so I powered through. One of the best massages of my life! I found an excellent masseuse. He's been very consistent. David is the man to go to if you need a professional good masseuse. He hits every spot from head to toes. I wish he could get the neck meridians better, but 95% everywhere else, he's great! I tip him $20 every time. He's that good. Parking is difficult to find on a Friday night, but I was able to park in the 15 minute parking and was fine for an hour. There's still a tad of noise when the masseuses talk between themselves. Super friendly owner that speaks multiple language. $30 for foot and body combo. Very reasonably priced. But the typical $10 tip is not appropriate or appreciated. That is over 30% of the service but it seems to be $15? is the "suggested" amount since the workers are compensated mainly on tips. Society is getting to a point of tipping fatigue of all the fast food restaurants, service providers, drivers, and so on and so forth! It went from 10%, 15, 20, 25%...I see no end to this madness. Please raise the prices and/or include the tips. That way there are no surprises or disappointments on either side. Yes it was a great deal for a body and foot massage. When the massage is out in open space, not in a private room, I expect for the massage to be given on top of the clothes. For the most part it was a good massage but I was not expecting for my dress to be lifted so she can give me a chair massage nor all of a sudden my bra taken off. That was shocking. She was good on my back but not so much on my arms. I debated to rate them two or three stars. Positives: - clean - accepts CC - walk-ins are welcome - parking - masseuse checked in if I was okay So even though I was shocked by being half naked and even though the arms were okay, how it ended was crap. When it came time to paying and giving tip, I pulled out cash. I handed the amount and was asked for more. I gave a 20% tip and was told the percentage of tip didn't matter and demanded a minimum $10 tip. I looked for signs all over and no where to be found. Yay for foot massages being back in business! I used to live in the SGV so I would get the foot massages often. I now live in the other Valley - the San Fernando Valley and the massage places are a bit suspect, at least the ones in my neighborhood. I was going to be in the neighborhood so I made a reservation for me and my hubby for 12:30PM on a Saturday. This is located in a shopping complex, so we parked and walked to Jade Twin. The guy who worked the front was really friendly. He sat us both in two chairs in the back. My guy started right away but my husband had to wait for his lady to finish up with another client. They have you soak your feet in warm water first and start massaging you. My husband said he waited for maybe 10 minutes but his water started getting cold. Overall the massage was good - my guy was strong but wasn't too aggressive until the end with the neck and back. It got a little intense but felt good. Hubby enjoyed his massage as well. An hour foot massage is $30 which is good. This place takes credit card, but cash is always appreciated. read more

I had a one hour body massage with Steve/Steven yesterday upon a recommendation from a friend. Overall, the massage was satisfactory. However, I felt very uncomfortable as Steve/Steven was aggressively massaging all along my bikini line (skin on skin). It was too close to my genital area. I still tipped him $20 on top of the $40 base price. When I went home, I also realized that my clothes and purse were stained from the massage oil. When I entered the room, there was no place to put down my cloths and belongings. Most massage places will have a basket for my clothes and/or a hook for a purse. I did not find this anywhere nor did the masseuse tell me where to put my belongings. So I put my belongings under the rack of the massage oils. The rack must have been dirty because oil was all over my jean jacket and purse. I was able to get the oil out of my jacket. However, the oil stain is still on my leather purse. I have tried using leather cleaner, baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, and the oil stain will not come out. I'll be going to the dry cleaners and also reaching out to Jade Twin afterwards. read more

The staff was extremely friendly and sanitized everything in front of you. We came for two of the foot and body massages at 9pm and they still accommodated us with smiles. The ambiance really sealed the deal for me, and we came on a day where it was quiet so we had the place to ourselves. The massage itself was so great for me personally. I was already tired from the day's activities, and I felt so relaxed that I actually fell asleep. The staff acted very professionally to my snores...or snorts, and didn't laugh according to my friend :) thank you for that hahah. I'd recommend this place absolutely to anyone in the SGV!
