I came here when it was Jade Twin, and it was ok, I did the combination. It was loud, one big room with everyone in it next to each other. Then I stopped going because I ventured to other massage places until recently I came back last year and I tried almost all of the guys there, they're in their 60's, and their skills are ok, like any other Asian massage place. But there's a new guy there named Yen, yes Yen is a man's name and he is like a bodybuilder, he's full of muscles. He's strong and he has really good massaging skills. He's quite and doesn't talk much, once in awhile he'll ask if you're ok. He does a really good deep tissue massage, and is strictly professional. They have private rooms with thick curtains as a door. The price is still decent. And make sure you tip him well and not the usual 20% y'all think that's what they deserve. Please tip $10 or more per hour, they work hard and is not too much of o ask. The area seems like a seedy place because so many of the old Chinese/Vietnamese men are hanging around the Tip Top restaurants but is safe, there's other restaurants and 2 other massage shops in the same plaza. My opinion, I know Yen is the best one there but you have to call to make an appointment with him because he is part time here. He also works part time at another massage place, Bao Zhi Lin Relax Spa, about 1 miles away. I love going to neighborhood spas. Someone I know recommended Sea Spa so decided to try it out. It's a bit confusing as there are 2 other spas in the same strip mall. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised at the rates for body and foot massage combination. The massage was decent. Spent too much time on the top of my head and not enough on my back and shoulders. But I was enjoying the vibe and thought I would come back. That was until the massage was done. I sat at the chair waiting for my friend to be finished. The masseuse stood by waiting for his tip. So, I went to pay and gave him a $15 tip. He actually yelled out "$15!!" He kept walking back and forth talking to the front desk lady. Clearly was upset. She then came up to me to ask for an additional $5. She said, "you should feel lucky. You got a good massage for cheap." I gave her the additional $5 but also told her that tip is not required and it's dependent on the service you receive. She just smiled and walked away. I know that these are service staff and they rely on their tips. But I tipped almost 30%! I think they offer really low prices because of the competition in their location and just expect their customers to pay the difference. I will not be returning. read more

Great massage experience from start to finish! Squeezing us in was a breeze and we were treated as if we had already been here before. Which was nice because it just showed how sweet everyone is at this location. It felt homey and this business definitely has a massage vibe to it. My boyfriend and I both got a full body massage and we went in feeling heavy and walked out of there feeling like a million bucks and light as a feather! The masseuses there have over 15 years of experience and it definitely shows. I came here for years but since recently returning sadly for those who don't know, they recently switched owners and the original masseuses/masseurs are no longer there. Jade Twin is sadly unfortunately CLOSED. A new business replaced it called "Sea Spa". I walked in after a while of not visiting, and had an awful massage by some bald short guy named Andy. I am being detailed with his description because I don't want anyone else having a stressful massage like I did. I had many massages in my life but this guy seems like he's not entirely certain what he's doing. And he's unsteady, his elbow slipped when rolling out my back causing him to trip on top of me. He squeezed the very top of my nails and fingertips way too hard my nerves burned, and overall it felt like I was getting beat up rather than massaged. I don't mean beat up in like the pressure was too strong but more like the guy was just rough all around and didn't seem too confident where he was pressing. Maybe Sea Massage has other better workers but yeah I won't be returning after that terrible experience with Andy, and also I'm left with grief missing Jade Twin even more, R.I.P. Jade Twin, which always outshined the "5-Star massage" business next door, but today's terrible experience with the newly replaced "Sea Spa" actually makes next door feel much more appealing. This is probably going to be the funniest massage review ever. I decided to come to Jade Twin for a 60 minute foot massage as I've been extra stressed with work lately and wanted to find avenues to decompress. I booked my appointment over the phone the day before and they had plenty of availability. Upon reading the reviews, I saw there were a lot of poor experiences with ppl who only tipped $10, so I came with the expectation that if I enjoyed my massage, I would at least tip $15, if not $20. [Which is honestly crazy because that's a 50%-66% tip] My masseuse was male, probably in his 50s, who did not speak a lick of English. But that's OK because I can understand Mandarin. I took my shoes/socks off and he laid a towel over me. The FOOT massage actually starts with a SCALP massage - and he removed my scrunchie and started working his hands through my head. It covered my entire scalp including my ears, and then went into my FACE. Mind you, the massage was the first portion of my day before I had actual social activities but with one fell swipe, he wiped away my eye shadow. Another swipe, and my eyeliner is gone. A few more swipes, and honestly my foundation, contour, and blush are all on his fingers or smeared across my face LOL Then, my FOOT massage goes into ARMS. The pressure he was applying was intense. By the time he finally got to my feet, my whole body was pretty much a melted puddle lol. They use a lot of tools - tools that mimic torture devices and I'm a ticklish girlie - so I usually don't opt for massages unless it's feet only. So when I signed up for this FOOT massage, I wasn't expecting it to really be 30 minutes of other stuff and 30 minutes of actual foot massage. My jaw/mouth hurt so much at the end of the massage because of how hard I was gritting my teeth from either actual pain or because I was so ticklish. *side note: my 60-minute massage ended in 55 minutes. I also thought it was a little weird at how often his hands grazed my bum or straight up massaged it LOL (not a "me too" moment - just a "wow lol that was weird" - kinda thought) Toward the end, my masseuse was panting LOL and I found myself BEGGING for the massage to be over (in my head) - which is probably a sign that this place is not for me. And with that, I was OK with paying the full price + the $10 tip that gets so much hate from the workers. For what you pay, it is fair-priced. It's not in a private room - although they do have them (maybe for more specialized massages?) It's just a row of massage tables and I could hear a guy snoring loudly throughout my massage. They give you a small basket to put your belongings in. My massage ended with a healthy dose of tiger balm on my neck (and in my hair). We chose the 70 minute full body massage for $40 and my masseuse was Judy , my husband got Leah and my friend got a gentleman but I didn't catch his name. Once you get over the fact this place isn't the serene sanctuary you're imagining, it's pretty legit. You are here to get cured. The foot massage is in a shared room with little privacy. But I didn't mind, I was in need of a massage, especially my back, and I am someone with high pressure tolerance. At other massage places, whenever they see thin girls like me, I'll end up with a weak massage, as if they're afraid to break my bones. But to my surprise, I was assigned an older, bald masseuse who was ripped. I simultaneously felt like I was getting beat up with a vengeance and a deep tissue massage at the same time. I found an excellent masseuse. He's been very consistent. David is the man to go to if you need a professional good masseuse. He hits every spot from head to toes. I wish he could get the neck meridians better, but 95% everywhere else, he's great! I tip him $20 every time. He's that good. Parking is difficult to find on a Friday night, but I was able to park in the 15 minute parking and was fine for an hour. There's still a tad of noise when the masseuses talk between themselves. That is over 30% of the service but it seems to be $15? is the "suggested" amount since the workers are compensated mainly on tips. Yay for foot massages being back in business! I used to live in the SGV so I would get the foot massages often. I now live in the other Valley - the San Fernando Valley and the massage places are a bit suspect, at least the ones in my neighborhood. I was going to be in the neighborhood so I made a reservation for me and my hubby for 12:30PM on a Saturday. This is located in a shopping complex, so we parked and walked to Jade Twin. The guy who worked the front was really friendly. He sat us both in two chairs in the back. My guy started right away but my husband had to wait for his lady to finish up with another client. They have you soak your feet in warm water first and start massaging you. My husband said he waited for maybe 10 minutes but his water started getting cold. Overall the massage was good - my guy was strong but wasn't too aggressive until the end with the neck and back. It got a little intense but felt good. Hubby enjoyed his massage as well. I had a one hour body massage with Steve/Steven yesterday upon a recommendation from a friend. Overall, the massage was satisfactory. However, I felt very uncomfortable as Steve/Steven was aggressively massaging all along my bikini line (skin on skin). It was too close to my genital area. I still tipped him $20 on top of the $40 base price. When I went home, I also realized that my clothes and purse were stained from the massage oil. When I entered the room, there was no place to put down my cloths and belongings. Most massage places will have a basket for my clothes and/or a hook for a purse. I did not find this anywhere nor did the masseuse tell me where to put my belongings. So I put my belongings under the rack of the massage oils. The rack must have been dirty because oil was all over my jean jacket and purse. I was able to get the oil out of my jacket. However, the oil stain is still on my leather purse. I have tried using leather cleaner, baking soda, vinegar, dish soap, and the oil stain will not come out. I'll be going to the dry cleaners and also reaching out to Jade Twin afterwards. read more
