He was on time and his quote was $250 lower than my gardener (who is NOT a professional tree trimmer) had been dinging me for years! Jae and his crew came out that weekend. I spent an hour with Jae when he came to my house to give me an estimate on the tree removal and cleanup of weeds and overgrown grass. I explained to him what needed to be done. Remove 3 trees and trim below the window line two Hibiscus in my backyard. This was a Friday and he said he would be there on the following Monday. On Monday he called and said he would not make it. Red flag immediately. I asked when can he come and I asked him to call me when he was on his way as I wanted to be there when he came to begin the work. I came home around noon for lunch to wait on his call and for him to come. Well about 1:30 I texted him and said I have to go back to work and can't wait any longer and to call me as I am only a few minutes away at my office. Well I never got a call or text. I came home about 4:30 pm and to my surprise there were people blocking my neighbors driveway and it wasn't Jae. It was a contracted company Jae had called to actually do the job!! I immediately went to my backyard to see what the hell was going on. To my utter dismay and shock, the crew had cut down my wife's memory tree she planted when her father died and removed all the hibiscus and lemon grass trees I specifically told Jae not to cut down. I was furious. I asked the crew (who spoke little to no English) did they talk with Jae and one gentleman said they did and Jae told them to cut everything down!!!! I was pissed. I called Jae and asked him to come over right away and he said that he couldn't. I asked him why he was not here and if he was not going to come he should have told me he was going to contract the job out to other people. I again asked him to come over and explained that these people had ruined my wife's memory tree and cut down the wrong trees and didn't cut down the one tree that they were supposed too. Jae then tried to blame me and say that he texted me I said I have no such text on my phone from him. I would not recommend this company. It appears he will contract out the work and have no control or responsibility about what will happen to your landscape. My geraniums were uprooted and a large succulent. I had to pay hundreds of dollars for an arborist to come out and try to save and propagate roots (that have not grown yet) from my wife's memory tree. My wife gets back in town this month and now I have to explain to her how this horrible thing happened. Please stay away from this service. read more

I needed an overgrown slope with ivy and a bunch of other shrubbery cleaned up. The area had probably not been touched in 5-10 years. I was very picky with how I wanted him to clean the area. The slope is at the back of the property and it backs up to a park. I didn't want them to remove everything and lose our privacy but I also didn't want to have them take away too little and have it seem like they weren't even there. I must say they did just what I wanted. I also needed two trees thinned out to increase the home's curb appeal and open things up in the front yard and they did a great job. The owner came to our home the same day we called for a quote, gave us a VERY good quote, respected my husband when he told him we had another person showing up later to give us another quote, and then he called back to followup with us later that evening (not in a pushy way - just good customer service). Of course we hired Jae, who showed up the next day, on time, with the right equipment, and several workers to complete our small job. Our backyard was a forest of giant birds of paradise, as five plants generated about 40 offshoots over the years, growing into power lines and being generally unsightly. Jae assessed the situation, quoted me an extremely fair price, and showed up with several guys to take care of things. Well, add mine to a long list of happy campers! I had 8 over-grown and very unattractive Italian Cypress tress in my backyard that I had horribly neglected over the years. It had gotten to the point that not only were they eye sores, but because of their height and size, they had become unsafe. I decided to have them taken out. It took a few tried to get Jae out for the estimate, but once he was out - we were rocking and rolling. The project was large - and my next door neighbor threw in a monkey-wrench by having his pool resurfaced on the same day I was having the roots ground out - but, Jae was perfectly cool with sending his guys/coming back a THIRD time to knock out my project.
