Both of them were professional and helpful. My physical therapist, Haoyu Li was ready to help me recover from my knee replacement surgery. He's friendly, but serious. I've had physical therapy before, even at the Hospital of Special Surgery, but this was a far better experience. I've never respected a therapist the way I do Haoyu. He won't let me give up. Most recently my husband has been learning LSVT BIG from Gordon and is literally making great strides. It is a 16 session course over 4 weeks for people with Parkinson's. My husband also has Alzheimer's, but Gordon is so patient, kind and professional that he is able to meet him where he is. On January 13, 2025, I fell off a Citi Bike on my morning commute to work and sustained a non-operable humeral fracture of the greater tuberosity of the right shoulder. After 3 months of immobilization in a sling, I was able to begin passive PT. It was my good fortune that I selected StarPro Physical Therapy because it was there that I met Frances Esplanada, who, over the course of 12 sessions, began the work of slowly restoring mobility to my shoulder again. This recovery process required that my shoulder be protected while engaging in passive range-of-motion exercises, with the intention of gradually progressing to strength conditioning through resistance training and active movements. Frances clearly understood the nuances of treating this condition, and never pushed me beyond safe limits. Frances is not only highly competent, with an ability to explain the journey of recovery, but she brings a natural levity to the process with her kind and engaging personality. From the initial visit I was impressed by her ability to answer questions in an easily understood manner, with patience and attentiveness, which gave purpose to each exercise and how it would aid in my healing. Thanks to Frances guidance, I've regained much of my shoulder function with minimal pain. I truly believe her expertise helped me achieve the best possible outcome for a non-surgical case like mine. Gorden Golbart at StarPro is helping me with hip issues. Two reasons I am very satisfied with his care: first, he gives me tons of personal attention over a one-hour visit; no getting passed off to assistants as was true at Spear. Even if he is working with a second client he has an eye on me at all times. Second reason: I'm a senior with complex long-standing hip issues. He is very aware and respectful of my issues and careful to challenge without aggravating the existing problems. Having been in PT on and off for years, I've found that the individual therapist is the single most important thing. I don't love the industrial vibe, harsh lighting and background music at this Equinox location but the important thing is the quality of the Therapist. Gorden meets my expectations and I am improving under his care. read more

I have been coming to professional physical therapy for over a year now and I have always felt welcomed and cared for. All the staff here, form the receptionists, to the assistants, to the PTs themselves and so kind and empathetic. They really listen to your wants and needs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone trying to get back to normal physical activity after a surgery, sprain, tear, etc. They take a range of insurance and are really helpful financially with co-pay. Bring it up to you PT or the receptionists (who are absolutely the best, most professional people in the whole place actually!) and see what they can do. Get better! read more

Clean, spacious enough for my needs, and a wonderful therapist, Alanna. She is rigorous and knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.

This place is disgusting with their so-called cancelation policy. I lost my debit card and called to cancel my appointment due to not having my card available on the date of my 2 upcoming appointments. I have ALWAYS paid by card before I go in for my sessions. So I'm not bombarded by bills at a later date. They also have a sign posted that says all co-pays must be paid BEFORE each session. So I comply. Daniela, ( the person I spoke with to give advance notice of cancelation) tells me I will be charged $50 for canceling, even after explaining my situation in detail, and giving the practice more than 24 hours notice. No empathy, or understanding was offered to me. So I will NEVER frequent this establishment again. Me and my Black dollars will go elsewhere. The. END. Also, Richard comes off a tad bit (deleted) in my personal dealings with him as my physical therapist. Good luck with that!! read more

The therapists working at PPT, in particular Therapist Preti Shinde, are very knowledgeable, highly competent, and able to deliver the necessary therapies to address whatever issue their clients are experiencing. Beware before signing up that they will claim to have consulted your insurance and quote your one rate, only to have an entirely different rate show up in the bill. They'll then feign ignorance. Seems like a scam or at least incompetence. Physical therapy itself is fine though the therapists sometimes are forced to see 4 patients at once. They do the best they can considering the circumstances, but that's just far too many patients at once. read more

Beware surprise bills that are way higher than what they say it will cost. They charged for 4-5 duplicate services for every visit in order to get the total as high as possible. They also overbook their therapists, so I had to compete with many other patients at the same time to get any attention. Overall it's an inattentive service, combined with an unscrupulous billing department. read more

Treated here for tendonitis in my foot. After 15 visits (and approx. 8 weeks of faithful execution of a simple daily exercise regime of about 20 min. duration), the tendonitis is resolved. My PT team, Alyssa and Jenna, could not have been nicer or more professional. The place is very clean and efficiently run and I would recommend it to anyone in need of PT. read more
