Land Rover Lakeside is an absolute joke from sales to service. Jim, the service manager has a God complex and can never admit when him or his service team is at fault. The service department LOST one of my lug-nuts and then proceeded to blame it on me. Stating "it just fell off driving here or someone was trying to steal your rim." It was excuse after excuse. Everytime I would bring my Evoque in for something, I would find new scuffs/scratches on my rims. I have asked multiple times for my car not to go through the car wash, but they never listened and did it anyway of course. I reached out to Jim multiple times explaining the frustration & he proceeded to tell me to go elsewhere for service(all texts are attached.) On multiple occasions, Jim would text me random GIFS that had no correlation to my car(texts attached.) I made a call to the GM about this situation and she didn't seem to be concerned or have any feelings about it whatsoever. If you are thinking about giving your hard earned money to Land Rover Lakeside, don't! Take your money to literally any other dealership even if it a little more of a drive. Beware: All 4 brakes had to be replaced $850.00, 27k mileage.Was told by service manager this was average wear for this vehicle. Outrageous. Called General Manage, was not covered. Most all vehicles brakes last to over 40k. Terrible reliability. THis is not something that customers shoul have to pay for. If they wear out early, and they know this was not caused by neglect which they stated it is only covered for 12 months. It is normal to expect the brakes to be worn down on average at 27,000 miles. Also the 4 year vehicle warranty that is mentioned over and over at purchase is really only for certain items. This luxury vehicle keeps you coming back to spend more and more. NEVER again will i purchase, Lease, or recommend a Range Rover Evoque. I bought my F-Pace from Mike Hinkley last year when he was at Jaguar of Troy and everything went very smoothly. Since then, he's moved to Jaguar Land Rover Lakeside. My Jag had a minor accident while it was parked so I called Mike to see what to do. He gave me the name of someone that took care of the whole thing. She called the other pal's insurance, police, set up the repairs. I didn't have to do anything and they did a great job. Can't even tell that it was ever damaged. Now it's time for the annual service and Lakeside came to my house to pick up the car so I didn't have to drive 15 miles with someone to drop it off. DO NOT GO HERE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. In my opinion WORST DEALERSHIP IN COUNTRY. Let me start out by saying my family member worked at elder ford at the time of repair, as well as me being lifelong friends with Mike Dauod, pre-owned manager at elder ford. I figured they would at least treat me good based on this. They were both threatened to be fired when I made a review when this happened if I did not take the review down. I am currently in the process of filing a lawsuit against The Elder Group, Jaguar of Lakeside and the elder family (Rob). I also have made a complaint with the state of Michigan against the automobile repair license of Rob Elder due to them destroying my car. I would not trust any good reviews here, they all fake accounts I'm thinking. In my opinion this dealership group is the worst possible place you could bring yourself or your car. I was harassed, threatened, assaulted by numerous employees here, to the point where the GM Molly had to physically restrain Parts guy Dave Shobe because he was assaulting me. In my opinion this shop is the most disorganized poorly ran shop ever. Call other jaguar dealerships and ask them what they think of Molly. Everyone hates her because of how they screw over customers. They took my older Jaguar and kept it for months, lied everyday about updates. They will park your car in a certain way, so you can't see the damage to it and then tell you to get lost when complain about their damages. They cut my leather, cut my dash leather, scratched the car to all hell. Gm offered to fix glove box and the repair destroyed my leather that now feels like sandpaper. Complained about this to the owner Rob Elder who told me I am loser and sue him while laughing saying he will not help me one bit. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS. NON-STOP LIES FROM SERVICE ADVISER ALL THE WAY TO THE OWNER. This is not the same elder that Robs mother ran and owned, do not make the mistake coming here like I did. Rob told me personally he would respond to any reviews with more lies to make me look bad. Feel free to contact me if you have been screwed over by this dealership too. When at Jaguar of lakeside being assaulted by Molly and Dave my poor girlfriend was so scared, she had to walk 100 ft away and have 911 ready on her phone out of fear Dave would attack her as well and Molly wouldn't be able to restrain him in time again. IN ADDITION, I WAS HANDICAPPED, ON CRUTCHES AND WAS ASSAULTED BY THE PARTS GUY DAVE HERE. I posed no threat to anyone, couldn't even walk without a walker or crutches. ROB ELDER laughed at me, threatened me, threatened my family member and friend with their jobs and so on. In my opinion this is not anywhere I would spend my money. I will never buy another car from this place, I purchased a 03 S type Jaguar from this place, I took it back for update to GPS and tune up, and to find out why a brand new battery was dead, they were unable to diagnosis or fix the problem even though they had my vehicle for a month, yep a month. I believe they hooked my vehicle up to the computer and never really inspected the car, physically. I took my car to another shop and they were able to diagnose it in two days without a problem. Mincheys in Roseville, was great, but the service at this dealeship I received was terrible, and showed all they care about is selling cars, I left feeling like I had been ripped off by one of those dealerships on 8 mile. read more

Nice dealership! We went in to look at leasing a new Range Rover for my brother and everyone was super friendly. We had already been quoted on a price at a different dealership, and Lakeside ended up beating their price! The specific model we were looking for was not available with the cream interior, but they shipped it to this location within 4 days. Very knowledgeable staff, and they called a few times as a follow-up to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely return here for another purchase. read more

I am not a fan of their service division. They charge 10% of the bill for a "shop charge." Research on the internet, to include "Car Talk" explains that is today's additional charges and fees from larger places, like a dealership, to recollect the money spent on rags, fluids, etc. Things that used to be the cost of doing the cost of business. When I called to inquire about the 10% "shop charge" I was told every mechanic shop in the United States charges it. He repeated it to me several times. This is a lie -- I have lived in 8 states and have NEVER been charged a shop charge until Lakeside. I even have another brand of vehicle in this state and that dealership does not charge this -- maybe it is included in the oil change price, but that is the cost of doing business. I am already paying $200 for a oil change, and now they claim they spent 10% of my total bill ($20) in rags? I had a new air filter installed, and I am paying $12 extra in fees for rags? I am not a fan of this practice and I will not return past my warranty (must keep going to the dealership to keep warranty valid). We are already paying an arm and a leg for the service, and nickel and diming the consumer to get even more is poor business. read more
