The heirloom pear butter made for Filoli Gardens is scrumptious! Not too cloyingly sweet, not too thick. Pear perfection in a jar!!

This jam is one of the best I have had in a long time. It has a good balance in sweetness and in texture. I highly recommend it.

The food is…read moreconsistently solid -- the wings are great, the burger is reliable and satisfying, and the onion rings are a standout. Everyone raves about the deviled eggs (I'm not a deviled egg person myself, but they're clearly a crowd favorite). The beer selection is always strong, and pitchers are available, which is a big plus. The outdoor seating is excellent -- both the front area and the back patio, though I prefer the back. Tons of heaters, lots of TVs, and it's a great place to watch a game. The bar itself has a dusty, old-school vibe with a lot of character, which really adds to the charm. Prices are standard for Menlo Park -- meaning high, but pretty much what you expect for the area. Service is okay overall. I definitely recommend ordering inside rather than outside, as the service tends to be better indoors.

Trophies, little league decor on the walls, arcade games, a pool table, its very nostalgic. There's also a nice outdoor patio if you want fresh air. They've got plenty of beers on tap, plus cocktails and wine. You order at the counter, and there's basically an assembly line of cooks pumping out food. They hand you one of those buzzer things that goes off when your order's ready. Wait time wasn't bad at all. We ordered a 9-inch pizza, a burger, chicken tenders, and a French dip. The food was solid, but nothing crazy. The pizza came out nuclear hot, almost burnt myself haha. The burger was pretty plain. The tenders were decent. The French dip was probably the standout, actually pretty fire. Overall, the food is fine, not bad, just kind of mid. This place is more about the vibe than the cuisine. It's basically an overhyped sports bar with classic bar food. But also a Menlo Park staple to kick back and have a few drinks.

Starting off with the basics Yeobo Darling is fairly small and tables/seats are cramped closely to each other. It was clear servers had to be intentional in serving the food due to the small space. The menu is very confusing and we had to use Yelp to figure out what the dishes were - ingredients are listed but it's not clear how items would be prepared. For food husband and I tried the hokkaido sea urchin, potato, kombu (small single bite item we shared), oyster with white kimchi bonito (this one was tasty but the ice within the oyster was a bit odd), scallion croissant with rou song butter (tasty glad we tried this), delta asparagus with yuba (enjoyed this one as well), spicy silken tofu with mixed seafood (skip - you can go to any korean restaurant and get this dish), yeobo darling chicken wings (skip - just get korean chicken wings elsewhere they'll be crispier), hokkaido scallop mapo cauliflower (scallop was average - I enjoyed the cauliflower in this dish). Overall i'm glad we tried Yeobo Darling but probably won't return. There are only a few dishes I feel are unique here or had a creative twist, some other dishes like the spicy silken tofu and chicken wings I felt lacked creativity and could be ordered at any korean spot. Atmosphere and service didn't match the price of the dinner!

Parking is available in the private lot or on nearby residential streets. Dining is available either inside the dining room, at the bar, or outdoors on the covered patio. Flea Street is featured in the Michelin guide. Our waitress was phenomenal the entire evening, being very sweet and attentive. She was quite talented too! ;) Meal started off with the complimentary biscuit, served with a side of beautiful butter, salt, as well as a piece of carrot. This was decent as the biscuit was merely lukewarm. The lamb chop as a snack was quite tasty. These were sold per piece and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The farmers salad, dungeness crab cake, as well as the cured trout small plates were all quite tasty. Loved how premium and light the farmer's salad was. The dungeness crab cake was super light and tasty too! The cured trout was excellent with the homemade potato chips! The cioppino was gigantic and perfect for sharing. It featured a ton of premium seafood, from clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, as well as a couple pieces of black cod fish along with a few pieces of toasted bread! Finished off the meal with an apple galette which was tasty and served with a scoop of ice cream which was surprisingly a touch lacklustre... The meal ended off with a couple chocolate dipped strawberries. ~$130/head after 20% service charge and 3% employer benefits surcharge.

The main reason why I rank LuLu's on the Alameda as one of their top spots is definitely because of their venue. The eatery has a full indoor dining room with self-serve salsa bar as well as patio seating with umbrellas at each table, just steps away from the front door. Free parking is also available in the small private lot. I have never visited to find the space dirty or in disarray. I'm not big into chain restaurants nor Americanized ethnic fare, but despite their food being a bit gringo style and DJ's complaint that their Chile Relleno Super Burrito is expensive ($19.00), LuLu's Super Burrito ($13.50 on January 27, 2023, now $16.50) with Albañil (Ground beef, chorizo, bacon, onion & pasilla pepper), traditional red Mexican Rice and refried beans, minus the guacamole is so unforgettably delicious that I keep coming back to satisfy my craving. Yes, I do crave this burrito quite a bit! Their menu also offers a Mini Super Burritos (was $7.25 on January 27, 2023 and is now $8.50) which is an option that you don't see around much anywhere else or at all. I was also able to order Arroz con Leche from here once, which made me happy. Crossing fingers that they will consider adding the creamy dessert as a permanent item on their menu. Service is fair to good. No complaints, but no accolades, either. I do wish that they would stay open later, though.
