    Fried chicken sandwich
    Alayna K.

4 stars for food! The fried chicken sandwich was a favorite and delectable -- perfectly fried chicken. Fries were also great (we subbed the fries for chips but weren't told it was an extra charge). Fries were seasoned well but not crispy. Unfortunately service was pretty lacking-- we had to find our waitress and when we needed a to go box, it took about 10 minutes before we went to go up and get one ourselves.

Solid lunch spot right in the heart of the Sand Hill area. Limited menu of farm to table options. The service was okay and the ambiance was nice. Definitely a lot of PE people here during the lunch hours. The chicken Caesar wrap was filled with nicely roasted chicken sliced thin and the dressing was tasty. Like their homemade potato chips and their fries are thick cut, which I'm usually not a fan of but loved them here. Will be back.

    Schnitzel - so juicy!

Great revamp of the previous Quadras Cafe (miss that Juan's gluten free pizza though)... Beautifully updated, outdoor seating, solid menu choices. Parking can be a challenge, so leave a little extra time to drive around the business park (or go during "off hours"). We got the fried chicken sandwich which was crazy generous, the schnitzel (again, huge!) and a side of fries, which I agree with others were the bomb. The prices are typical to MP dining. Service was a tad slow, but the staff were super friendly and accommodating when you got their attention. Laid back vibes, mostly retired and work folks for the lunch crowd. All in all a SOLID place to enjoy lunch indoor or outdoor. Another nice add was we weren't inundated by those damn meat bees (ie. wasps)... might be the restaurant's doing, or just good luck, but inside is always an option if that happens to you. : )

Amazing good and service. We ordered Cobb salad and fried chicken sandwich (plus fries). Very delicious with nice ambient. Our server Michael did a great job, we felt welcome and will return

The food is really good. We surprised because they have big serving. I love that they have unique dish as well that's really tasty. The place is tucked in in a quiet and relaxing location that you would get lost if it'll be your first time. I love the design of the whole resto. The service is good as well. Oh one more thing! I love their matcha!!!

Sand Hill Kitchen a great brunch spot tucked away in a business plaza! We came here after work (night shift problems lol) and thought we were in the wrong area at first. The servers weren't very attentive but that didn't bother us at all because we were just there for a quick meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. To be quite honest, we almost left because we thought it was an office place cafeteria/cafe. But we stuck around and I'm glad that we did. I had the bodega 2.0 with chicken apple sausage, my husband had the "pho"-rench dip, and we shared a miso tahini cookie. Everything was super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The miso tahini cookie had the perfect crunch on the outside and soft-gooey inside that we love. Looking forward to coming again for brunch!

Bodega but not on that other bread. Super good. Not sitting on any honey, but it was still messy but yum!

Tucked away in Menlo Park, but we found them! Clean, quiet place with parking in various areas on the property. hard to explain. Food was delicious like everyone said. Presentation was just as good. I read a many yelpers noting the service was lacking and they were chatting amongst themselves. Yeah they were right. hahahaha. But we will be back. I really like the area and food. Oh well.

I'm a huge fan. Sandhill Kitchen is a true gem. It's such a perfect oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown PA and the commute life! I love the peace and quiet of their space, the combination of sun and shade / outdoor and indoor seating, the healthy and equally tasty menu. I love their use of ingredients and volume. I have yet to try a dish I didn't like. This week, the special was a delicious Dungeness Crab Sando with a side of chips or fries. I've also had the fried chicken as a salad add-on which was a brilliant choice! And their gigantic Tahini Miso Cookie came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I love the ambiance inside as well, and it was super cozy when I last came in the fall. Can't wait to come back! The bathroom is also clean and welcoming. Overall a great place for a casual lunch with your friends, coworkers, parents (the bathroom litmus test passes!), or self. I also noticed that they can seat a big group as well. The parking is probably the only challenge, so I tend to go during slightly off-peak hours. Highly recommend!

If you care about your waistline, do not get the Umami Fries with curried ketchup; that pile of deliciousness will have you addicted like a fiend with its tangy, savory flavoring. Deviled Eggs were standard, if not for the hint of kimchi. I didn't try the Chicken & Waffles or BLT my table ordered. I ate my fair share of Lemon Butter Prawns; a side comes with six pieces & trust me, you won't want to share. The Loco Moco was incredible -- earthy mushroom gravy over sticky sushi rice and a chuck & brisket patty. Topped with an egg (made over medium like I requested) & finished with a side of arugula salad (my favorite greens) & I was full for days (just kidding, hours.) We ordered a lightly-dressed Caesar Salad with avocado just to cleanse our palates from all the rich textures & flavors. I'll be back for dinner STAT, so please save me a seat.

We decided to do a walk in since the bar seating is first come first serve. Inside the restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff were so incredibly friendly and kind! We only had to wait about 30 mins and the front desk did an amazing job updating us on the status of our wait. While we were waiting, the manager of the restaurant gave us sparkling wine on the house because he felt bad we had to wait, which we thought was such a thoughtful gesture! We chose this place to celebrate our anniversary and although it was a little bit of wait, the service here already made it worth it. As for the food, we ordered the oysters, milk bread, kampachi, sugar snap peas, tuna on koshikari rice, dry aged duck, and the black cod. The food was absolutely delicious! The duck was probably the only item on our order that we would skip out on next time, but everything else we would definitely get again. The oysters were our favorite item that we ordered! It was topped with an aerated ponzu sauce with a celery oil(?) and that was amazing. Definitely recommend the oysters. Ended the night with some dessert recommended by the bartender, the pistachio financier. It was such a nice, warm dessert and a delicious way to end the meal. The Hokkaido milk custard with the pastry was a great combo, and I would highly recommend to end the meal with this dessert. Opted to do a la carte. Highlights included the salt and pepper octopus which was perfect with the salt and pepper batter along with the potato and green bean salad that complemented this dish perfectly. The snap peas are were fantastic, just like on previous visits. Tried the swordfish this time and it was fantastic. The swordfish was gigantic, lightly battered and fried, just like a katsu. The pork chop was tasty too, being juicy and flavorful. Most importantly, it wasn't dry like sandpaper! The steak was decent. The waitstaff suggested a medium which may have been a touch too high for my tastes... Ordered one of each of the desserts with the chocolate caramel tart being the highlight with a variety of textures and flavors for the dessert. Service throughout the evening was fantastic with staff checking in with us every so often! Scott, himself, even made an appearance to drop off the desserts! ~$150/head after tax, gratuity, and 6% employer surcharges.

It was said so many times that the whole table immediately felt rushed instead of welcomed. To make matters worse, we were seated on the outdoor patio during a cold, windy day, and the heat lamps didn't seem to work. Not exactly the best setting when hosting business guests. Even though we arrived on time, menus didn't come until around 1:15, which left us with barely any time to order before the hard 1:30 cutoff they kept warning us about. Then right at 1:30, we were told the kitchen and bar were closed, so no additional food or drinks could be ordered. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap and it missed the mark. The rice should have that crispy texture from the hot stone bowl, but instead it was wet, mushy, and didn't feel like a true bibimbap experience. The most disappointing part was being asked to leave around 2:15 while people were still finishing their food and drinks. Overall, it felt more like we were being managed out the door than hosted. I was genuinely embarrassed to have brought corporate guests here.

Mom recommended RH, THE ROOFTOP RESTAURANT at RH PALO ALTO. She called the restaurant and was able to book a 10 AM reservation for three. Located at the Stanford Shopping Center, we were able to easily and quickly find parking in the spacious lot. We arrived a little early, so walked around the Restoration Hardware showroom for a bit before walking up the stairs to the upscale restaurant perched on the third floor. The mansard space, with its floor to ceiling glass walls and roof, emulates a giant dazzling sunroom with trees growing out of the floor and elegant glass chandeliers hanging above nearly every table. The modern fountain and airy ambiance provide a relaxing setting for a nice meal while soaking in the glam surroundings and sunshine or admiring the beautiful sunsets. Outdoor seating is also available in their wraparound patio with comfy couches. RH PALO ALTO offers elevated American eats, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu leans into opulent, fancified takes on classics, serving decadent dishes like CAVIAR CARPACCIOS (ranging from $18 to $28) and other CAVIAR SPECIALTIES such as GRILLED AVOCADO WITH CAVIAR ($38) and IMPOSSIBLY THIN HOUSEMADE CHIPS & DIP (15g $55, 30g $95). Below are what we ordered: LOBSTER ROLL ($36) - Z found this to be very good, I thought it was meh. The lobster could have used a bigger Dash of Mayo. On the small side. SWEDISH PANCAKES ($18) with fresh strawberries (for an extra charge) - I was disappointed that these pancakes were not served with the traditional lingonberry butter. These were not even warm enough to melt the slices of butter that topped them. KING CRAB ROLL ($58) - Also a petite serving, but this sandwich was tastier than the lobster version. Z said that it was very good, just like the lobster. HERITAGE PORK SAUSAGE ($12) - Flavourful; however, served cold. TRUFFLE FRIES ($20) - Fried to a perfectly golden crisp. RH BELLINI ($18) - Kudos to RH for serving an authentic bellini with genuine peach purée. This cocktail was yummy. Supposedly the BELGIAN WAFFLE was so remarkable to draw Mom back multiple times. Unfortunately, we were told that that they were no longer serving waffles. Mom was very disappointed by this. To boot, service was nothing to rave about. It seemed to be a bit challenging to catch the attention of our waitress to inform her that all of our dishes were served cold. When we finally got the chance to tell her, she didn't say much and appeared to leave us hanging. Later, the manager on duty came to speak with us, replaced most of the cold dishes, and comped an item. Still, this did not remedy Mom's dismay. She said that she will not return.

The food is delivered very quickly, but not super hot. Overall, I think its good food, and worth the visit if you're in the area.
