    Fried chicken sandwich
    Alayna K.

4 stars for food! The fried chicken sandwich was a favorite and delectable -- perfectly fried chicken. Fries were also great (we subbed the fries for chips but weren't told it was an extra charge). Fries were seasoned well but not crispy. Unfortunately service was pretty lacking-- we had to find our waitress and when we needed a to go box, it took about 10 minutes before we went to go up and get one ourselves.

    Schnitzel - so juicy!

Great revamp of the previous Quadras Cafe (miss that Juan's gluten free pizza though)... Beautifully updated, outdoor seating, solid menu choices. Parking can be a challenge, so leave a little extra time to drive around the business park (or go during "off hours"). We got the fried chicken sandwich which was crazy generous, the schnitzel (again, huge!) and a side of fries, which I agree with others were the bomb. The prices are typical to MP dining. Service was a tad slow, but the staff were super friendly and accommodating when you got their attention. Laid back vibes, mostly retired and work folks for the lunch crowd. All in all a SOLID place to enjoy lunch indoor or outdoor. Another nice add was we weren't inundated by those damn meat bees (ie. wasps)... might be the restaurant's doing, or just good luck, but inside is always an option if that happens to you. : )

Solid lunch spot right in the heart of the Sand Hill area. Limited menu of farm to table options. The service was okay and the ambiance was nice. Definitely a lot of PE people here during the lunch hours. The chicken Caesar wrap was filled with nicely roasted chicken sliced thin and the dressing was tasty. Like their homemade potato chips and their fries are thick cut, which I'm usually not a fan of but loved them here. Will be back.

Sand Hill Kitchen a great brunch spot tucked away in a business plaza! We came here after work (night shift problems lol) and thought we were in the wrong area at first. The servers weren't very attentive but that didn't bother us at all because we were just there for a quick meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. To be quite honest, we almost left because we thought it was an office place cafeteria/cafe. But we stuck around and I'm glad that we did. I had the bodega 2.0 with chicken apple sausage, my husband had the "pho"-rench dip, and we shared a miso tahini cookie. Everything was super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The miso tahini cookie had the perfect crunch on the outside and soft-gooey inside that we love. Looking forward to coming again for brunch!

The food is really good. We surprised because they have big serving. I love that they have unique dish as well that's really tasty. The place is tucked in in a quiet and relaxing location that you would get lost if it'll be your first time. I love the design of the whole resto. The service is good as well. Oh one more thing! I love their matcha!!!

    Delicious!

I'm a huge fan. Sandhill Kitchen is a true gem. It's such a perfect oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown PA and the commute life! I love the peace and quiet of their space, the combination of sun and shade / outdoor and indoor seating, the healthy and equally tasty menu. I love their use of ingredients and volume. I have yet to try a dish I didn't like. This week, the special was a delicious Dungeness Crab Sando with a side of chips or fries. I've also had the fried chicken as a salad add-on which was a brilliant choice! And their gigantic Tahini Miso Cookie came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I love the ambiance inside as well, and it was super cozy when I last came in the fall. Can't wait to come back! The bathroom is also clean and welcoming. Overall a great place for a casual lunch with your friends, coworkers, parents (the bathroom litmus test passes!), or self. I also noticed that they can seat a big group as well. The parking is probably the only challenge, so I tend to go during slightly off-peak hours. Highly recommend!

Bodega but not on that other bread. Super good. Not sitting on any honey, but it was still messy but yum!

Tucked away in Menlo Park, but we found them! Clean, quiet place with parking in various areas on the property. hard to explain. Food was delicious like everyone said. Presentation was just as good. I read a many yelpers noting the service was lacking and they were chatting amongst themselves. Yeah they were right. hahahaha. But we will be back. I really like the area and food. Oh well.

Definitely worth getting the umami fries as they were seasoned to perfection. A perfect starting side! Horsefeather is a perfect brunch spot to stop by and try in this Old Town and Country Palo Alto plaza. I have never heard of this chain nor in their other locations before and was definitely satisfied afterwards with their great dishes and their aesthetically modern decorated interior. The dishes here are American so you'd get what you typically get for breakfast from scrambles to French Toast, and we ordered the French Toast, the Chicken and Waffles, and a Salad during our visit here. All of what was ordered was perfect and beautifully plated upon arrival and out of all that was ordered, I have to say the chicken and waffles with their matcha butter & syrup was their standout dish. I have never seen matcha infused with butter but it was perfect and complimented the waffle just right. The chicken was fried and juicy inside and the waffle in general was toasted with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and soft interior. French Toast was a definite close contender too, where the toast was still gooey soft as expected and served with syrup & cream on the side. Salad was good but nothing too extraordinary about it. The staff here were all very nice and on a busy lunch day, I was surprised & pretty sure just lucky was able to get a table in less than 10 min on a Sunday. For weekend brunch, Horsefeather is a perfect spot to visit & enjoy the pre-afternoon before enjoying Palo Alto. I would highly recommend checking this place out and will definitely be back for more.

Our favorites were the kimchi deviled eggs, the miso linguini pasta, and the yuzu dessert. One thing I did notice was the seating arrangement. I had seen another Yelp review mentioning that they were seated right next to another party despite the restaurant being mostly empty, and we had a similar experience. Even with plenty of open tables, we were seated directly beside another group, making it easy to hear each other's conversations. It wasn't a huge issue, but a little more spacing would have made the dining experience feel more comfortable. Overall, the food and service were great.

The avocado and salmon dip was interesting! I didn't expect that. It took some getting used to. The yellowfin rice was good, though raw fish being warm is a little weird to me. I don't think this is a must get. I liked the flavors otherwise. The octopus was one of my favorites. I loved the sauce for it and the jalapeños were a nice touch! The pork chop was one of my favorites as well!! I love how it was experimented with peaches; I'd never think to try those together but it works. The short rib steak was amazing! It's suuuper tender and I'm still thinking about it. Though I probably wouldn't eat it with the green beans; it didn't seem to go well together but it did with the mushrooms. The service is great here; they even took a napkin that was hung on my chair and folded it neatly onto the table again. I wish the portion sizes were bigger here overall, when you share with four people you're only getting like a bite each and for the prices even though it's a fancier place I'd expect to get a litttleee more (i've seen other fancy places have bigger sizes)

Son & Garden shares the building with their sister restaurant, which we accidentally wandered into first. The staff there were not so courteous to us when we had realized our mistake. They probably get that a lot... but if that's the case, isn't that a sign to make it more obvious where Son & Garden diners need to go? The service was subpar as we had to keep asking for basic things a condiments and table settings. The server was not versed in the menu and we ended up ordering something based on their info and it just wasn't what we thought it would be. My poor mom had so much difficulty with her fried cutlet, she didn't really eat. Dishes here are overpriced which I always understood it as part of the premium for dining in a super cute restaurant. Well, the outside seating wasn't great and there was plant debris landing on our table throughout our meal since we were seated outside. In the other Son & Garden locations, there's mostly indoor seating so I didn't think to investigate whether this restuarant was outside only or not. I get that my review of this place is super biased and based on my expectations of their other location, but you would think that they would keep the vibe fairly similar. The dining experiences at both could not be more different. Lastly, the parking situation could not be more nebulous! We didn't know if we were in CalTrain territory or retail.
