I came here for my birthday and had a solid experience overall. The service was nice and great throughout the night, which I always appreciate. The standout dishes for me were the scallion croissant, the lu ruo lasagna, and the chicken liver wafer appetizer. I also thought the beef tartar tart was tasty. On the other hand, the dumpling soup was just ok and didn't really hit the same high notes as the other plates. I really liked the Korean and Taiwanese fusion of flavors; the profile felt very familiar to me. While the meal wasn't mind-blowing, it was enjoyable and it gave me a lot of inspiration and interesting combination ideas to try out at home with my own cooking. One letdown was the birthday recognition. They stuck a candle on my dessert and that was it, which felt a bit disappointing since I was hoping for something that made the occasion feel a little more special. That said, I will definitely return to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

Advice: don't be misled by influencers on tiktok or Instagram. It's best to go back to the days of Yelp where people weren't doing it just for likes . I was so disappointed with this page and I think even three stars is too generous. Here's what we got and my rating for each one 3/5- scallion bread - the bread was served warm and with a light butter with pork floss or as they like to cal it "rou song" (mandarin phonetic spelling) . This was very oily and the bread wasn't dense so you needed to hard the bread down as you cut it . Which I found messy. It was a little too greasy for me 3/5 - Kaluga hybrid cavier - this was a little bit sweet mixed with the saltiness of the cavier. This was good but it was also something that was easily forgetable. 2/5 lu rou lasagna - this was the biggest disappointment. It just tastes like a minced beef dish with a sweet Bolognese sauce. Nothing special. 3/5 wagyu kalbi - the flavors for this dish was good. However the quality wasn't was good as some of the pieces were just fat. Which left us with a lot that we weren't able to eat. 3/t -Karat cake - Overall, for the prices, quality and quantity of the dishes, you are better off somewhere else. If you want good quality wagyu, you can get more for a better price at 10 Butchers.

This place was great! We went on a Wednesday night and didn't have a reservation, but we were seated at the bar after a 10 minute wait. The restaurant was nice and cozy inside, and the servers were all very nice. - The beef tartare was quite flavorful - it was garnished with sesame oil and asian sauces and almost reminded me of poke. - the scallion croissant was quite buttery and flaky. I like that it can easily be split into 4 pieces, though I low-key wished that the rousong could be stuffed inside the croissant itself. - the lu rou lasagna was super duper flavorful. It was so so good

A really fun Taiwanese-Korean fusion spot that hits both comfort and creativity. The scallion croissant bread with rou song butter was a standout--perfectly flaky with a savory scallion aroma. The fried chicken wings were crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and well-seasoned without feeling too heavy. The Gulf prawns with Taiwanese sausage and kumquat delivered a great balance of flavors. The karat cake tied everything together with crispy edges and a soft, flavorful interior packed with umami. The soju cocktails were a nice surprise, especially the yuzu smash--refreshing, citrusy, and dangerously easy to drink. Service was excellent and thorough--attentive without being overbearing, with great pacing and thoughtful recommendations.

Came back for boyfriend's birthday and we genuinely enjoyed all of our choices. I was very appreciative for the staff who knew the menu thoroughly and took time to point out all the hidden shellfish on the menu (even the fish sauce had shrimp in it!). We had the butternut squash which was just as dreamy as the first time and the Lu rou lasagna which boyfriend also really enjoyed. New for both of us was the amberjack for which I really enjoyed the play on texture and taste of the sea with the seaweed oil. For mains we shared the duroc pork collar which was so tender and unctuous and the anchovy fried rice which was my personal favorite of the two. It was sweet and sticky on the bottom reminding me of zhongzi and then crispy with the tiny Korean anchovy on top. Would have this again! To round out dessert we tried the bergamot parfait which was light and bright with citrus, yet decadent with the sago and creamy meringue. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Plus, the birthday candle was cute! The only reason why I still have this at a 4 is that this time the dining room was unexpectedly loud. It was actually difficult to hear each other across the table which didn't seem to fit the ambiance that Yeobo is trying to have.

My boyfriend managed to snag a resy here for Valentine's Day after I mentioned I wanted to check this place out. The one thing I was looking forward to trying the most--the scallion croissant bread with rou song butter--was HEAVENLY. It was served perfectly warm with countless pillowy layers and had a crisp but not too hard exterior. The rou song was a scattered topping on the butter, but I kind of wished it was more integrated into either the bread or butter so it wouldn't fall off so easily. I could have downed two loaves of that bread easy. The rest of the Valentine's Day menu consisted of canapés and many seafood heavy courses--highlights included the hokkaido scallop and duck breast with pureed squash. I thought the Taiwanese beef cavatelli was a similar spin on their famous lu rou lasagna, but the green pasta was a little tough and not our favorite. The abalone jook was stunning visually and very flavorful but quite a large portion. And of course, dessert completed the meal. Ther signature Karat cake was one of our favorites with a not too sweet cream cheese frosting and spiced crumb. Service couldn't have been better in any way. Great addition to bay area fine dining scene, definitely deserve their recently acquired Michelin star.

Celebrated my birthday at Yeobo Darling, a very memorable dining experience. I love the story behind the restaurant, and I can definitely taste the melding of both taiwanese and korean flavors in our meal. Our server was great he explained everything from the menu selection, to each individual dish and what we could expect going into them. My favorite dish was the green onion croissant with rou song butter!

Boyfriend and I have been seeing a lot of reels about Yeobo Darling, so we were really excited to try this place out when he was able to get a reservation on OpenTable. Unfortunately, we did not understand the hype after we tried it out ourselves. Unlike other reviews, we got to the restaurant 5 minutes before our reservation, and we were seated within 10 minutes. (When we checked in, the hostess told us our table is almost ready, as the table just got their bill.) The restaurant had dimmed lights, but still bright enough to see well. I'm actually a fan of the curtains that splits up the tables. I think it cancels out the noise level, and it helps to be fully present in the conversation on the table. We got the St. Simon oyster, honeynut squash, scallion croissant, gulf prawn, duroc pork collar, and karat cake. The only thing that surprised us and thought it matched the hype and the way the restaurant is designed was the honeynut squash. Everything else was just ok, considering all the circumstances.

Really innovative and delicious food. You are greeted at the front by staff and they lead you into a nice slightly dim eating space. It is a little intimate and people are dressed slightly nicer than your average restaurant. The food is expensive, but the dishes bring new flavors and taste that pair together so well. Our favorites were the croissant and the lasagna. It is such a great fusion of asian and western palettes. I would highly recommend people try this place at least once! Their cocktails are also delicious.

Yeobo Darling is a charming small restaurant in downtown Menlo Park. The food here is very tasty and unique! The wagyu tartare and scallops were my favorite dishes. The scallion croissant is an amazing complement to go with any of the other dishes. The service was very friendly too!

    scallion croissant, rou song butter

A Korean Taiwanese modern fusion elevated cuisine in a neighborhood, casual fine dining blanket. For those who remember Maum, you can see the familiar brush strokes. Yeobo Darling provides creative small plates à la carte dining, ok service and questionable value. The food was creative, fun and balanced. Despite mostly ordering items that were heavily recommended to us by multiple people, we were a bit underwhelmed; expected more highlights given the hype, price, and the type of restaurant they are going for. The best dish by far and away was the scallion croissant with rou song butter. Basically, scallion pancakes creatively reimagined with pork floss butter that added a savory component and paired beautifully. This collaboration with the Baker Next Door is honestly worth being sold separately as a to go item. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more scallions on the inside. On the other hand, the lu rou lasagna was even more creative combination but the flavors felt flat and came short of expectations. Would I take this over a solid lu rou or a classic lasagna? Probably not. Would I reorder if came again? No. The chicken wings' sauce was creative and nicely balanced but par of the KFC course and not distinctive enough. Similarly, by the end of the meal I forgot we even had the oysters with white kimchi and I swear it's not the Alzheimer's kicking in extra early, I hope. Their specialty Karat cake was not too sweet and well balanced with unique frosting but not sure it lived up to the insane levels of hype. The kalbi was melt in your mouth delicious and the anchovies rice paired well with it but at the price point you can get the same (or higher) quality meat in many places. Not to undermine the recipe, it was prepared well but it's hard to mess up a high quality cut. The banchan was a little too neutral and plain to really cut through the deep richness of the meat. Lastly, to end on a high note, the Santa Barbara sea urchin, potato, kombu bite was amazingly delicious. The highlight was absolutely the potato pave which was prepared to perfection and it paired nicely the briny and salty uni. And I expected nothing less for a nearly $30 bite. Even when comparing to high end sushi prices, there are a lot of other bites at that price point I'll choose before this. And therein lies my dilemma with Yeobo Darling. When you are paying a minimum of $200+ per person to barely feel satiated, you fairly start to compare your experience with others in that bracket and unfortunately that's where the shortcomings become even more evident. The creativity is there but the flavors, uniqueness and memorability were a bit more shaky. Simply put, the value you're getting is in question. The service also fell short of expectations for this caliber of restaurant. Yeah it's a casual fine dining place but I've come to expect a lot more in comparison. It already started off shaky with having to wait 15 minutes after our reservation time despite arriving early, next to the door that was seriously leaking in the cold, windy air from the outside; not a very premium experience. Similarly, at our booth table, the windows were leaking cold air the whole time. Being at the corner we also felt like a bit of an afterthought for our server and I was trying to get the attention of the staff a few times throughout the meal to no avail. Thankfully the back waiters were on top of refilling our water but that's the only part of the service that lived up to expectations. At half or even two-thirds of the price, I'd feel much more positive about the experience because my expectations would be lower. At the caliber they're aiming for, there were simply too many shortcomings - from the meal, to the service, to the hard product. The competition at that price point is strong and when you come with a lot of hype and swing hard, you better not miss.

I heard this place was always so hard to get reservations but i was able to snag a last minute reservation for my birthday at 8:30PM thursday night for a party of three. It's very intimate as it is a small restraint with dim lighting. Pretty straight forward, order and food come out in a timely matter. The service was excellent as I was always never left with an empty water cup. The waiters always made sure that the table was clean as well, taking away done plates or crumbs on the table in operation for the next plate. I would say everything is pretty small in terms of serving size but it's pretty standard for a fancier place like this. The item that stood out the most were the Yeobo Chicken Wings. The shishito peppers were a nice touch and added more depth to the dish. I would skip out on the little appetizers as you won't be missing much. It's worth coming and trying once but not sure if i would go out of my way to go again.

Yeobo, Darling is exactly the type of restaurant Menlo Park needed. The food is delicious, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the owners and chefs are clearly working very hard to make sure they put iut consistently great product. We did family style and ordered the scallion croissant loaf, chicken wings, lasagna, kalbi, and anchovy rice and then finished with the famous carrot cake, the soft serve, and the Korean donut which our waiter recommended. Every dish was immaculate.

The food is honestly the best Thai in the Peninsula (my opinion) with very authentic flavors. I'd definitely recommend coming with a group so you can order and try more dishes together. Here's what we ordered: Pineapple fried rice with seafood: This is probably my most favorite dish. Super fragrant, flavorful, and loaded with seafood. Even the picky ones or children can have it, as it's not spicy at all Panang Neua: Beef rib was super tender and basically falling off the bone. It came with sticky rice and sauces, looks aesthetic in picture. Tom Kha with chicken: A rich, creamy coconut flavor soup. Very comforting and an easy dish. Tom Yum with shrimp: A bit sour and spicy soup, I really like it but some found it a bit too spicy. Pad See Ew with beef: I originally thought I wouldn't like it because I expected it to be a greasy heavy dish, and it was in fact still a little oily, but the beef, the seasoning and sauce were actually really good, so I ended up enjoying it a lot more than expected. I had the hot Japanese sencha while my wife got the Thai Iced tea served with a crushed iced ball on top. Roti Mataba, Crispy Egg Rolls, Farmhouse Wings and Crispy Calamari were our starters for this gang of eclectic diners. I shared with my wife the Panang Neua (braised beef in curry sauce) and Pad See You which came gorgeously plated with generous servings. We were able to sample the Crab Fried Rice and Tom Kha from our dinnermates. Ruk Na (love you) Platter was the underwhelming dessert combo of Thai Vacation, Sticky Rice (no mango), Chocolate Cake with fresh fruits and a macaron. To be described as IG worthy in the menu wasn't accurate IMO. It must've been an off-day in the kitchen when they were prepping this "leave the choice up to us" plate of sweets. Food was way flavorful than regular Thai restaurants we've been to. The common complaint is the very pricy food. The staff was nice though. They even acknowledged our request for photos. Even with the setbacks, this was a nice lunch with this group.

The two of us were dubious about the Millionaire's Bacon, because it was hyped up to the point where it seemed unlikely that it could live up to the reputation. We were wrong. We ordered the Millionaire's Bacon sampler platter, which is four strips of long, thick pieces of bacon, baked with brown sugar and spices. There is the original, which is brown sugar, cayenne, red, and black pepper, which was sweet, salty, and the perfect amount of spicy. The other slices were orange, cinnamon, and rosemary. My partner enjoyed the orange best, whereas I loved the cinnamon, but we both thought the rosemary was underwhelming. The bacon itself was very thick and meaty with a minimal amount of fat, and was just clearly high quality pork. Truly worth the hype. We also got the bottomless mimosas, which not only had multiple choices of juice (we got raspberry lemonade) but were surprisingly heavy on the champagne. The waiter kept them coming without us needing to ask, to the point where I had to tell him I was done because I was a little too tipsy for breakfast. My partner got the chicken croffle, and was very impressed. I tried the fried chicken (though not the croffle) and it was very well spiced, very crunchy, and well cooked--juicy and tender. I got the big hip, which is deep fried "french toast". I wouldn't call it french toast myself, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with fresh fruit, butter, and syrup. There wasn't enough syrup for the entire dish, but I asked our waiter for more and he came back with it in less than a minute. On top of the food being as close to perfect as you can get, the service was great. Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

I understand a lot of people don't though so, different strokes for different people. Not a big fan of the mixture, and there was also water or something on the bread that made it soggy. However, the pickled onions and grapes were really good especially with the wagyu steak and garlic rice. At first glance the image of the wagyu steak is not that impressive, as it was in real life as well...BUT as I took my first bite I was taken back to the underground Kobe beef bowl hole in the wall restaurant. The beef is cut into really big pieces so in this picture it doesn't look like a lot but it was a good ratio. The rice is soft and fluffy and flavorful. Worth getting the dashi. I will definitely be back!!

Say less. O R D E R E D - Oxtail Udon - Octopus Salad - Hamachi Carpaccio - Beef Tongue V E R D I C T The oxtail udon was everything I hoped for and more. The broth was incredibly flavorful -- rich and savory with just a hint of sweetness. You'd think a soup this deep would lean salty, but it was perfectly balanced. And the oxtail? Fall-off-the-bone goodness. As an oxtail lover, this absolutely hit the spot. We also ordered a few dishes to share and honestly... every single one delivered. The beef tongue was super tender and cooked perfectly. The octopus salad was fresh and well-balanced, and the hamachi carpaccio was clean, buttery, and full of flavor. Truly flavortown worthy across the board. If you're looking for a spot that does bold flavors right without being heavy, Kemuri is it. I'd 100% come back again -- and next time, I'm already eyeing that oxtail udon.

My other friend was a local like me, so we knew our way around the menu. Anita, Johany, Dinash and Rishi took care of us. Anita was able to provide recommendations as I made sure to get chicken hot pot, mixed sizzler, buffalo momos, shrimp curry, roti, yogurt, masala tea, and a bunch of other options for family style. The hotpot was a fav from China. The team worked well together, were friendly, helpful and gave us dedicated service because we beat the dinner rush on a Saturday. As the place got full, as Anita was the point person for new recommendations, it might help for more of the team to also be able to provide recommendations. It might help, to ask if guests would need help with the menu. Maybe a dinner set would help, especially if it was the group's first time for this type of cuisine.

We tried a Lamb Wrap which we felt was pretty mediocre, it was mostly just seasoned lamb with cabbage served with a side of thin fries and a dip very similar to thousand island sauce. I'm not sure that I recommend the wrap. We loved the Salmon Sizzler that we ordered. There was a decent sized filet grilled and served with a delicious sauce, on a sizzler plate with boiled veggies and Nepali Chow Mein! It was delicious!! The portion for this sizzler plate is quite large, more than enough for 1 person but maybe not enough for 2. I'd reorder the sizzler on a heartbeat if I'm back in the area!

Definitely perfect for a date night or even a cute girls night. The ambiance feels upscale without being stuffy and the whole experience felt very relaxed and thoughtful. One thing I really liked is that they let you customize your omakase experience by either choosing a price point (ranging around $119-$219) or selecting the number of courses you want. We opted for the $150 menu and ended up getting 15 courses, which felt like the perfect amount. And let me tell you... every single bite was spectacular. Don't ask me to remember the names of everything because I absolutely cannot haha but every course was fresh, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. You can tell they put a lot of care into balancing flavors and textures throughout the meal. Service was also excellent from start to finish , attentive, welcoming, and paced really well without ever feeling rushed. Parking is mainly street parking, but if you drive a little farther down there's also a garage with free parking for the first two hours, which made things easy. Overall, everything about the experience was wonderful and I would absolutely come back again.

I haven't had Omakase in a while and was excited to try out this spot. [[ Notes ]]: 1.) Give yourself time to get to the restaurant. It's so close to the Cal-Train Menlo Park station that we got delayed twice by the gates closing. 2.) Free 2-hour parking at the underground parking lot next to the restaurant. It is super well-lit and clean. One of the best garage parking lots I've been to in a while. 3.) It's a "pick your price" omakase ranging from $119 - $219. We opted for something close-ish to the middle and settled at $180 per person. This came with 18 small bites + 1 dessert. [[ Things I liked ]] 1.) Service - Absolutely amazing as the whole wait staff was very attentive. Every dish was described in detail, waters refilled all the time without asking, and constant checking in to make sure things are good. At one point we really liked the unique plates the food was being served on and the waiter immediately came over and told us who the artist was. Good attention to detail. 2.) Overall the fusion omakase was really good and I thought the 18 small bites + 1 dessert was a good mix. [[ Things I disliked ]] 1.) I think it would be nice if they actually had a large sign that has "Robin Menlo Park" so its easier to find. Instead they have a contemporary "robin" picture that is harder to find if you don't know what you are looking for. 2.) They play club/hip-hop music which is an interesting choice. I'm an older millennial so I didn't mind it much but I can see how it can be distracting since the volume is relatively loud. 3.) We arrived at 5pm and no one was there. As such, when we sat down, every single person was staring at us including the 6-7 chefs behind the counter. My wife thought it was so weird and was embarassed that so many people were staring at her the whole time. It got better as more guests arrived. 4.) Since there were so many dishes being served, I was hoping they could give me a set list at the end so I can remember what I ate but they don't do that which made me kind of sad. Next time I'll bring a pen and notebook so I can write it down. [[ Conclusion ]] Robin Menlo Park is quite a good restaurant. It can be pricey for the amount of food you get but we had a good time. I posted the small bites I loved the most as well as the full selection so you can take a glance. P.S. - the ending dessert was FRICKEN GOOD! Some coconut, macademia, frozen banana custard thing.

I ordered the Stir Fry Basil Chicken Bento and was immediately impressed by how much you get. The portion is generous, especially for the price! It was loaded with protein and served with two different vegetable sides and a hard boiled egg. It feels like a complete, well-rounded meal rather than the sad, sparse bentos you sometimes end up with. The basil chicken itself was the star cause it was juicy, aromatic, and had just the right kick on mild. If you have any heat tolerance at all, I'd say go mild without hesitation. It's flavorful without being overwhelming. Ordering is super easy through a kiosk, my food was ready in about 8 minutes, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I'll definitely be back to work through more of the menu. If this bento is any indication of what else they're serving, I have a feeling everything hits.

Since they were known for their bento boxes, I went for the Popcorn Chicken Bento, aka R4 - The tray came with white rice topped with some weird mysterious meat curry-like slop; the marinated boiled egg was overcooked and had no flavor. The vegetables could have been better, as there were some cabbage leaves that were kind of not washed well and were spotty. The popcorn chicken was just regular fried boneless chicken bites - no flavor, whatsoever, and wasn't sure where the basil and the seasoning was? Such a disappointing experience; it's funny, because there was 1 patron dining in, and there were others picking up items to-go from online ordering. Staff were friendly, and there is a real-time screen of when orders are ready. No dice, O2 Valley. +avoid the bentos +friendly staff +online and kiosk ordering available
