I was definitely excited to try! The special drink right now was a black raspberry latte with tahini cold foam and sprinkles. I was a little disappointed to not be able to get regular cold foam instead of the tahini but still gave it a try - nice they had a special drink with a donation to a cause. I liked the raspberry flavor, but I'm just not a fan of tahini. I think the shop was decorated very cute. Service was good and pretty efficient.

I've loved Bloomsday forever so this sister spot right next door is a welcome addition to the Headhouse rotation. The space is bright and beautiful, but you can't beat the outdoor seating on a nice day. 5 stars for the pastries and beverages, but I would not return for the egg sandwich. Egg "patty" left a lot to be desired and this thing is really tricky to eat. The pastries tho...WOW. Incredible sea salt chocolate chip cookie and I love their take on the cosmic brownie. They do often sell out so going early if there's something specific you're looking for is advisable. On the pricier side but worth it for the quality. I'll be back when I am in the neighborhood!

Their pastries are to die for! The cinnamon roll and white chocolate pistachio danish were absolutely phenomenal - its been a few weeks but I still think about them. I live super close to them and worried it might be a little too dangerous for my health lol. Super popular and they sell out their most famous pastries quickly - better to go as early as possible. The pastry line moves quickly but I have seen people waiting for the drinks for quite a while so I don't intend to try their lattes during crowded hours. Their outside area is very pretty and would love to sit and enjoy the pastries when the weather is nice.

Loretta's is perfect for a cold, rainy day. It's a cute little cafe with a few tables (first come, first serve). I tried their Mocha latte, which wasn't overly sweet and warmed us up as we headed to Headhouse Market. We tried their Ham and Cheese croissant and Cheese & Greens hand pie. Both were delicious, but the cheese & greens was our favorite! The staff was super nice and welcoming. Will definitely come back next time we're in the neighborhood.

The salted maple latte is to die for!! I went two days in a row when I was in town because it was that good. Their pastry variety also looked fantastic, the fluffernutter was super unique and delicious. We also tried the cherry pop tart and the beef stew turnover and both were great as well. It's super cute inside but seating is limited.

Just updating to say that Loretta's remains a favorite. I've been back many times, and they never disappoint.

Such a cute little coffee shop! Great pastries and coffee! Small amount of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors as well. Fairly priced, I felt it was good value for all that we ordered.

The vibe of this coffee shop is so adorable and is also in the most quaint location! The ambiance is definitely what drew me in to try it both inside and out. They had a dog treat for my dog which was such a cute surprise! The ham and cheese croissants are the only pastries I've tried so far, but my fiancé and I both enjoyed them! I was also impressed with their matcha quality I really liked the taste.

I was visiting Philly and was on the HUNT for good coffee/matcha places. I saw Loretta's recommended and had to go! The shop is adorable. I love both the interior and exterior. It makes for great pictures. It was pretty busy but the line went fast and it didn't take a super long time to get our drinks. I was told that my friend was having a really hard time finding a place around her that had really good matcha. From what I saw, most places were using premade matcha and not whisking it on the spot. When I saw Lorettas was hand mixing their matcha, I had to try. I got their brown butter sage syrup in an iced matcha. The syrup was delicious but I wish the matcha would've been stronger. Either way, I downed it. My friend told them it was her birthday and they made her a hibiscus green tea drink with little edible glitter on top and it was great. The staff was extremely friendly and I would go back!

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This place sucks. I waited twenty minutes for the wrong sandwich AND the wrong drink. They offered to remake the drink, I declined because I just wanted to leave. Then I got my sandwich only for it to be EXTRA cheese when I asked for no cheese and it wasn't even the Betty, like I ordered. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I would've included the sandwich in the picture too, but I opened it and tossed it into the trash where it belonged. I was optimistic about this place because the pictures looked amazing, but it was insanely disappointing.

I really can't stop coming back here. The sheer coolness of this place paired with super friendly staff and fantastic coffee is everything that I'm looking for in a local haunt. I love the seasonal option, currently, blueberry thyme, and the regularly available salted maple in my lattes while I sit down with their free wifi to do some work. The sweet and savory pastry as well as sandwich options are wonderful; my favorite being the hot dog croissant. I will continue to frequent this spot for as long as I can!

Went an got a one bagel with cream cheese two flavored lattes, a donut and a breakfast sandwich the total was 40.50. Very pricey. The donut was 4.50 alone. Also was a $1 for getting coffee iced instead of hot... I don't think costumers should have to pay extra for things like that. Super was very quick. The sauce on the sandwich was good but the egg was the premade kind very thick and didn't taste like much. The inside was asethically pleasing and had some trinkets you could buy. The place is very small and only has about 8 or so seats inside. The tables can get pretty messy and you have clean them before sitting. I don't think I'd come again. Too expensive for the quality of the food and drinks.

Great pastries, below-average drinks. Unfortunately, the baristas' casual antisemitism soured the experience entirely.

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

It was much better than their root vegetable soup, and I was quite fond of that soup. It's honestly nothing like anything else on the menu. It has an indian? maybe? taste to it. It's so good. there is these juicy white raisins inside, some sliced almonds (not treenut friendly), and some sort of white yogurt sauce with micro greens. really a fantastic flavor pallet and the actual soup texture is smooth minus the toppings. Cashew Hummus: okay so here's my thing. I find that this restaurant in particular does such a disservice with their menu item descriptions. Based off of the description of this dish, I would think it's probably decent at best, and might not even order it. luckily I had a sixth sense to know this would be amazing. it's truly so good. it's a hummus layer topped with a bunch of seasoned roasted vegetables and chickpeas. The flavors are great and the textures are also great. I wouldn't have known it was cashew hummus if you didn't tell me. it's honestly not that large, so if you really like vegtables and hummus i'd get your own or split with only one person. if everyone is demure, it could go four ways. also! I don't think it comes with bread. it didn't come with bread this recent visit, but I am not sure if that was a mistake or that's how it is. But, to be safe, i'd save your bread you get at the begining to use for this. this is a must get every time I go. Dandelion salad: I only order this for my welsh rarebit. I like to eat my welsh rarebit with some of the salad since the acid cuts the fatty cheese. but, I will say, it's a very good salad. my favorite part is the thinly sliced celery pieces. it has a bunch of varying greens, celery, avocado, cucumber. all dressed in a lemony dressing. it's very simplistic and that's why I think it's so good. it's quite large, and would be a great "for the table" order so that everyone has some fresh bites with their rich entrees. Welsh Rarebit: my favorite. if you don't know what welsh rarebit is, it's basically fancy cheese toast. think proper fondue cheese with Worcestershire, mustard, maybe guinness, melted on a thick piece of toast. so an open faced fancy grilled cheese. it's two big slices of toast. could easily be shared for the table but I prefer my own order. if you get this I recommend also getting the dandelion salad and eating them together. Chocolate Set: I haven't tried their other desserts, but I just know they are a waste of time compared to this. the chocolate set is a dense chocolate mousse with earl gray ice cream, chocolate nibs, and a few orange slices. it's so simple but so so good. texturally, amazing. the smoothness of the mousse with the crunchy nibs is the perfect contrast. the orange is bright, the ice cream is just great on its own and does so well paired with everything else. it can be shared 4 ways if you have demure people. my family of four just orders two and we get half each. that works for us, we would never be able to share one. all in all great service as always, great food, and obviously a gorgeous interior.
