Everything happens for a reason! My friends and I ended up here after finding too long of a wait at three other restaurants. We had never heard of Jaime's before, we just saw the sign glowing on the street and walked in. One of the servers was extremely nice to us throughout our entire time there. He first led us to a back room to wait and and gave us menus to look at. Once seating opened up he came and got us and took us to our table. The Office was playing on one of the televisions at the bar, and being that is my favorite show, it was a great sign! Two of us ordered a Caesar Salad and the Vegetarian Pizza to share, and two of us ordered the a Caesar Salad and the Pepperoni Pizza to share, and we all shared an order of the Garlic Knots. The salads were fresh and delicious, and I loved that they came with tongs for sharing. The pizzas came out hot and tasted great! Might be our favorite in Tucson. Wide variety of toppings and that crust is just sublime.... crispy on the outside with a perfect chew. Their wings and salads are also exceptional. Hot tip: don't stress parking; take the CLITT from the Mercado before or after some shopping. read more

Great pizza at affordable prices! We stopped in wanted to try a new place and were pleasantly surprised. They have a nice local selection of beers and several wines. But the pizza was really special. We had the Feta-Choke on the GF cauliflower crust and Jaime's Favorite. The cauliflower crust was wonderful and you even my partner who is not usually a fan of that crust loved it. The blend of feta and artichoke was wonderful and worked with the cheese and Jaime's sauce. On Jaime's favorite the homemade sausage was delicious. It had a nice fennel in the sausage which worked beautifully in the pizza. The crust is hand tossed and was crispy all the way to the middle of the pizza. We also had the garlic knots which had a lovely sourdough and the caprese salad which had a generous amount of balsamic, tomato and mozzarella. Everything was balanced and prepared perfectly. The staff were a little slow, so do not plan to rush, but everyone was friendly and helpful. Prices made the place very affordable. As a bonus the music was a wonderful blend of classic rock! While the pizza may taste good (like many other pizza places in Tucson)...the service is just bad. Order taker made me feel like I was a bother. Pizza delivery to my table said nothing, offered nothing and there are two trips to get what I need. As I wandered to get napkins, I again encounter the "I'm a bother" impressions from the staff for a basic tool of a napkin that they are out of and have to find. Multiple restaurants have been in this downtown location, I am not hopeful that they will not join the long list of "didn't XXX used to be there...?" There are so many good downtown pizza places, I recommend trying another. read more

My family gets pizza here all of the time and every time it is just amazing. The crust is solid and the pizza isn't floppy. The salads are ones my mom likes to brag about how good they are. The employees are very nice, and the atmosphere is just very good overall. The pizza was the saving grace here. Insane prices for basically a self-serviced place. Chicken wings were $14 for HALF a dozen. Yes, you read that correctly. We did still order them mostly out of curiosity, and while they were good, they were not at all worth the price point of over $2 a wing. I'm not sure if this is just a price increase due to current costs with chicken/eggs, but absolutely nuts either way. Like I said, the pizza saved our meal and experience. Fresh toppings, great sauce, and crispy. With the price point for a mostly self service restaurant, though, can't say we'll be back. read more

Listen, this is theeee best pizza I've had in Tucson. It's so good, the Cesar salad is bomb as hell. I do wish they offered grilled chicken on it too add protein tho. I've gotten it like 3 times, and it's made a mess like every time.. Also to ask people if they want plates :( I end up throwing mine away. I order two sides of marinara and it's always toooo hot in the cup like melts the lid and then they wrap it in foil and it leaks all over. We were driving through Tucson on a road trip and stopped here for some pizza. It was REALLY good. I'm not particularly attached to either thin or thick crust, but this was a perfect thin crust that still had a soft chewiness. I usually don't eat the crust on pizza but I ate the crusts here. We also got some lemon pepper wings. They weren't the usual dry lemon pepper seasoning I'm used to, but still really good. They were more like a wet buffalo wing, but lemon pepper flavored instead of spicy. We'd definitely go back if we're in Tucson again. read more

We went to a concert at the Rialto theater about two weeks ago and stopped at Jaime's pizza for dinner before the show which is located conveniently right next-door to the Rialto theater on Congress. We sat on the long table alongside the window to people watch and see the streetcar go by. We ordered Paco's Blanco Chicken 10 inch pizza, dozen garlic knots and two soft drinks. The pizza was delicious it could have used a little more salt to bring out the flavors I thought, the crust and the thickness of the pizza was just the way I like for it to be. The garlic knots were equally as delicious and came with marinara dipping sauce. The knots were much bigger and better tasting than Brooklyn's pizza in my opinion. Our server was wonderful, she was really cool and would check up on us regularly as was the entire staff because we even had waitresses from other tables come and give us refills if we needed any (good vibes). My last meal on my cross country trip. I orders a meatball Stromboli last night. First of all, it was fantastic. One of the customers told me to get the homemade ranch dressing on the side, WOW - Great Call! After one bite, the quality of the ingredients was as high as you could ask for in a Stromboli. The crust was a little charred, but fluffy and amazing! The only thing I would add is a double order of their homemade meatballs as I finished it too quick!! The crust is on the thinner side and it is very crisp and quite chewy, as in on the tougher side. This isn't by any mistake, but fair warning in case this isn't your pizza groove. All was excellent accept something was way too salty... couldn't tell if it was the sauce or pepperoni. Speaking of which, the sauce is modest/minimal and I would have preferred just a bit more! Tip: since there's no place to sit/eat, I would strongly recommend ordering ahead... pizzas take about 12 min if there's no other orders ahead of you. Have never been to this eatery before. It's located in downtown Tucson across the street from Club Congress. It's certainly worth the visit. Out of towner here. In a land of tacos and burgers I was delighted to find Jaime's. Came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place is low key, nothing fancy but comfortable. Great sidewalk seating but I opted for the indoors on a hot day. Staff was super friendly and the prep was quick. I went with the Los Tres Cerditos, 10". I can't pass up anything with pancetta!! It was amazing and the perfect size. The EVOO is amazing and a great initial flavor hit. Crispy, light crust and the 3 meats each get their own flavor stage. What am incredible find in downtown Tucson. We have been looking for a top-rated pizza place in Tucson, and there are plenty of possibilities around town. But, we decided to try Jamie's as we had read all the five star reviews and had heard other good things about this quaint little establishment. So, we made our way on a Friday evening just before the dinner rush, and easily found a nice spot at their bar. We ordered a tea and their IPA on tap. It was hard to decide on what pizza to order, but since we had heard great things about this place, we knew we wanted to get their large pizza to bring home leftovers. We finally decided to go with Jaime's Favorite and we subbed the shredded mozzarella for their hand pulled mozzarella, and held the onions. We also ordered a large Bacon Gorgonzola salad to share. Both items were excellent. The crust for their pizzas is incredible. A little crunchy on the outside, but soft and chewy on the inside. The flavor is also top notch. They put plenty of toppings on these pizzas which makes it a hearty meal and worth the price. Our salad was also noteworthy as it comes on a long oval plate and delivered with a beautiful presentation. This salad is a new addition on their menu, and the Creamy Gorgonzola dressing was such a great compliment to the fresh greens loaded with all the toppings. So good! Because we sat at the bar, we could see all of the items coming out of the kitchen, and every dish looked incredible, which made us decide that we are absolutely coming back here to try some other items we may have missed. The service here is wonderful and the employees engaging, all with warm smiles that make you feel happy to be there. I called in my order and the guy over the phone was very nice! He said it would be fine in fifteen minutes and it was. They greeted me as soon as I stepped in the door. I ordered a slice of the old world pizza and added pepperoni and one half dozen lemon pepper and one garlic grana. I should've just stuck with the pizza because the pepperoni was crispy and it was delicious. Having never been here, I didn't realize the wings were wet, like not fried which was fine but I would've preferred fried. They honestly didn't have any flavor, like I couldn't tell one from the other but they were cooked well. I also didn't care for the ranch. I was on a road trip with my family. This place was not too far off the 10 and my son wanted pizza. I knew I wanted something a little more special and local than a chain pizza joint, so I looked around on Yelp and found this place. The crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom but the top was nice and juicy and full of sauce and flavor. I got a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza for me and my wife, and we got a cheese pizza for the kiddo. We all left exceptionally happy. I'm glad to have found a cute little Tucson gem. The staff were friendly and the outdoor patio was nice even in December. It was a Sunday, so the downtown area was pretty lively. It was fun to watch the people and cars go by as we ate.
